2020 Dodge Charger Scat Pack Widebody: Family Race Car?

Rev Match Media I’ve had a Challenger SRT and now Charger Scatpack both auto. Soon to be Widebody Charger or Challenger haven’t decided. But I appreciate the review

@@vincealince_SRT We reviewed that Challenger widebody as well and personally, my wife and I loved the Challenger so much more. The widebody on either one does make a huge difference is appear too. The Challenger was way more practical for our needs with our 5 year old and all the camera gear I'll often have to load up. The Charger also felt a bit more nimble even though the specs show it to be the heavier of the two.

That’s great to hear. With us getting them for only a week, long term reliability is something that always concerns us. Plus there’s so much space under the hood that everything looked easy to work on after that warranty ends. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Being a big manual transmission person, I thought I wasn’t going to like the auto but it actually works really well and this spec was definitely a dream setup.

@@Revmatchmedia yeah the thing is that here in Canada it cost about 100 000$ for the Hellcat 😭. Compare to 70k for the 392

I didn’t have the courage to do so specially when Dodge let us borrow the car lol. Even with the traction control on, I could feel the rear step out at 60mph and that was fun enough for me lol

My wife was thinking the same way till we got invited by Dodge to preview the Red Eye. Now she wants a supercharged Charger lol

@@skysurfs3181 yup, I went with a fully loaded mustang gt tho, didn’t want to pay 60k for a scat pack lol, got a 38k mustang with every option than hopefully I will get the c8 when they bring the z06 version in the next year or so.

My brother just sold his C7, bought a Mazda 3 as a daily driver, and reserved a C8 Z06. He sold it for $4k less than what he bought it four years ago. This market is nuts lol

They’re definitely worth the wait but waiting is the hardest thing to do! What options were you looking at doing?

@@Revmatchmedia I live near Springfield Mo. a little town called Battlefield. I was told just today by a Salesman at Corwin Dodge in Springfield that there is not a a Scatpack with in a 700 mile radius. So to answer your question about what options I want,,, well that’s a loaded question 🥴. I want the Charger because it’s one of the rare cars you can share with your family and have some fun without spending your life savings! Of course I want the 485HP along with the torque. It needs to be an automatic so that on the rare occasion my wife needs to drive it, she can. I do not want leather. I want the interior to have a lot of bright colors with the Bumblebee on the front seats, but the exterior, less is better. I don’t want a bunch of letters (badging) up & down the side of the vehicle. Badges go on the front and back only! I like the computer generated way that you can build the vehicle on line. I think the more that style of being able to build your vehicle will bring in the real customers!

Go online and build one then.

Casey Wilson we were on a call with the SRT team and they said that they’re starting to stabilize their inventory. At one point they were actually down to only 200 cars across the whole US.

The week I had it was a lot of fun. I miss that V8 sound lol

If you take a regular built scatpack 392 from the factory and try to compete it in NASCAR as is..... it won’t keep up lol its not a race car bro.

LOL! I loved the Challenger but the Charger had a couple of things that I would prefer like the flat bottom wheel, the self popping trunk, and I found the center console to be better for my needs. Either way, I don't think you could go wrong with either of them!

Lol! My 11 yr also says challenger.. but I’m going charger!

The color of the press Challenger we got was green compared to the red Charger so that might've swayed our little guy to picking the Charger lol
