I love the flowmaster sound but I used to own a 1999 dodge ram 1500 with a 5.2l (318) and I put true dual flowmaster super 10s under it and I loved it !!!!

The very second that engine turned over I said NOPE! Great choice to go back and delete the resonators.

My 2020 Rebel had 300 miles on it when I took that big muffler off and replaced it with a straight pipe, keeping both resonators intact...This thing RIPS !!!...I know I got it right when my neighbors started complaining...It's louder than the Limited in this video at the end...Mission accomplished !

The manifolds are for durability, the catalytic converters are for emissions, the front resonator is for M.D.S./A.F.M./D.O.D. drone, the muffler is for overall sound deadening, the rear resonators are for drive by noise tests which are required by law, and the tips are for style. I say cut all that government shit out. There is a conpany out there called stainless works that can delete all the bull shit.

I have a 2018 Ram I had the guy take off the factory muffler and install a 40 series and it's a freaking beast. It had alot more sound than this particular install. $140 bucks and couldn't be happier. I also installed a K&N 63 series cold air intake. I've read online that could also make a difference, I don't know. I'm very happy with Ram and the HEMI and of course as always FLOWMASTER is the absolute best way to go in my opinion. Also even though I said this sounds less aggressive than my truck I still think it has a great tone to it. Very sharp truck. Same color as mine as a matter of fact. I will admit I am just a bit jealous though. I really love my 2018,but I'll be honest Id love to have a brand spanking new one. ( I bought a brand new big horn in 2006,and a brand new Express in 2012) I put FLOWMASTERs on the 06 not the 12. Anyway my daughter is turning 16 in a few days so I had to make the sacrifice and get a used truck this time around. By the way o got her a 2017 Mazda cx5, just curious is there a FLOWMASTER that would fit that vehicle? She definitely wouldn't t me put one of those loud bumble bee 4 banger mufflers on there,but I'm curious does FLOWMASTER have anything for that demographic?

FMs are the most heavy duty mufflers I've seen, and have had them on 3 of the 4 Wranglers that I've owned over the years. They are perfect for trucks and off-road vehicles, but don't like them on muscle cars and is why I went with SLP loudmouth 1 catbacks. As heavy as my big beautiful pig is, I need all the help that I can get in that department with her and like it that they are quite a bit lighter. As there are no resonators and consist of 3"pipe with 2 open chamber racing bullet's, and rock

What I would have done is to cut the whole exhaust out from the cats to the tips. Then welded up dual 3" pipe up to 2 series 10 Flowmasters and then 3" pipe to dual 4" exhaust tips.

have a 2017 rcsb with a 1 in 1 out super 10..cut off 12" past the cab and dumped..exhaust tips bolted to bumper just for looks.

Running a Super10 setup on my Ram R/T with my stock rear resonators, and it's literally like 3X's louder than this truck. Single in, dual out setup on the older models. Don't let the new engineers keep us quiet guys! Get that new front "muffler" tf out of there too! The Super10 sounds so badass when unleashed.

Definitely should have went with FLOWMASTER - OUTLAW race exhaust pipe and then after the exhaust do custom 3 inch straight duals out the back with no resonators instead of that 2 inch out the back. 3 inch would definitely give it a meaner sound. Just my opinion.

This 2020 Ram recommend a straight pipe by cutting off the muffler and leave the two resonators for back pressure. My sound great

The first mod to my 2020 Ram 1500 was deleting the resonators and installing the old Flowmaster Super 10 off of my 2004 Ram. Now my newer truck has that nasty muscle car sound,and also probably lost 50 pounds from this mod.

Gotta put some long tube headers and do a true dual set up and you’ll get that real V8 sound.

My opinion he should gut it all out. The converters too and make it true dual exhaust. Then he'll definitely smile.

With 3 resonators, I would've gone with a muffler delete first. Cheapest way to get sound, then delete resonators if it's not loud enough. The 09-18 trucks with factory duals are pretty loud with a muffler delete but they have only the 2 rear resonators.

You should try the borla XR-1 muffler, perfect sound on the hemi.

That does sound pretty quiet for a super 10, I’m surprised. Everyone saying to remove the resonators doesn’t know why their talking about though. Resonators BARELY affect sound level, they just reduce drone. You’ll be kicking yourself with drone if you remove resonators. The rear ones aren’t a big deal since they are under the bed, but if you cut out the one before the muffler, it’s gonna drone. You can tell it’s barely louder on camera and notice he says “it’s deeper”, not “it’s louder”.

I have 19 big horn, I ended doing a complete muffler delete, kept the rear resonators… it’s a lot louder and beefier sound than the super 10 IMO

Just a tip for people. if you want to swap a muffler on a truck and notice a sound difference you HAVE to remove the rear resonator(s). Those things will kill the sound

I had my super 10 installed on my 2020 ram. 5.7, left the resonators on, But when I floor it (high rpm). It has a winding turbine like sound to it coming from the exhaust. Could it be the because of the resonators? Any info would be appreciated thanks

Hey guys, just bought a 2021 ram. Seriously considering a Flowmaster 10, but wanted to be a little bit different. Still want something aggressive and was thinking about going with a carven r series. How do these compare volume wise? I know the Flowmaster is going to have more low end, and the carving is going to have more crunch, but are they about the same volume?
