The build is looking great, as to be expected from you folks. I might have to work my way over to you folks to figure out where to take my F-150 next when I'm in Arizona next.
bumper looks great, never was a fan of those deck systems though, takes up a lot of the utility of the bed and worst of all makes it harder to store your deer!
I would have done an overland rack instead of the decked system. They also have some cool flip out boxes you can get that tuck next to the wheel well. Just some better ways to get areas to store hunting gear without losing bed room.
True, an overland rack would also have been a good option. I agree that this isn't the best system if you need lots of space in the bed, but it does work well for how First Lite is going to utilize the truck.
No winch on this one, but a winch plate can be swapped into this bumper easily so First Lite can make that change down the road if they decide they need it.
How much did the front end sag with that heavy bumper attached? One thing I really don't like with this bumper is how one of the grille guard bars blocks the high beam. Wish they would customize the guard for the truck instead of using the same design regardless of what truck you have.
The most recent video we posted covers all the details on that if you want the full explanation, but to keep it simple, we lost about 1" of ride height in the front.
Sure do! I have a shorter video coming soon that will explain the details behind the bumper's weight and the ride height measurements, but to put it simply, we lost about 1" up front.
That decked system is horrible for hunting it takes away 80% of the bed height making it hard to load in a deer and pretty much everything that don’t fit in the drawers
To each their own. First Lite specifically wanted a Decked system and we also like these kits. Even though this build is hunting focused, it has to serve a lot of different purposes as a company truck for First Lite and they want organization more than maximum bed space.
@@NoahStage3 yeah for hunters its a no go. Sense its a hunting focus build that decked system negatively affects a hunters needs on a truck. You arnt putting a deer kn that i know it could hold the weight but no it takes up most of the bed height which is bad for a hunter and it makes it even harder to load a deer jn the truck cause you now have another foot or so to lift. Oh god cant even imagine putting a new tree stand in there you bought.
@@buffalobmf The first lite crew isn't throwing whole deer up into the bed. Every hunt I've seen them on, they quarter their game in the field and pack it out. I don't think it would be that bad to throw game bags of meet up into the bed. Really, any lifted truck sucks to put heavy stuff into the bed since new trucks sit so high. An old 4x4 ranger would be the perfect little truck for getting around my neck of the woods.
