Looked at both and ended up getting a nice 2019 unit. Feels more like a luxury SUV. The instrument cluster and infotainment center on the 2019 are much faster in response. Plus the interior design on the 2020 needs more work. Nice comparison video non the less.
Nope The 2020 Has Better Park Assist And 2019 Needs More Work And Also 2019 Trash Because Of The Fuel Door Is Incorrect And 2020 Correct 2019 Trash 2020 Excellent
I like both but u made the 2019 seem to be a terrible option in comparison to the 2020. I think the video was too opinionated based off of your own personal likes and needs. The door closing part is misleading too since the 2019 closes like a truck then it would give a more solid feel. It seems the main theme of the video was to make the 2020 seem so much better than the 2019 for sales. However I don't think that's the case. Imo!
No, my opinions are based off consumer demands and where the market is heading. The 2020 model year was a step in the right direction with new technology features and an introduction to a more luxurious experience. There’s a reason why the Hyundai Palisade and Kia Telluride have become overnight successes. If Ford wants to compete in this market, they have to make changes and I’d argue that they didn’t do enough. The 5th generation was good for the 2010’s, but that truck-like feel will only draw in brand loyalists and not the new wave of consumers who want comfort, luxury, and technology.
@leec136 I agree. I understand you have a job to do but it seems like everything stated about the 2019 model was just horrible. Granted, yes a newer year boast new upgrades. So generally speaking it should be better in comparison. However, you’re making it seem like no one ever drove the 2019 model.
My knowledge 2019 platinum is the coolest ride still no issues at all u never heard a recall or anything only thing about a year older car or SUV is maybe more room maybe gas in a bit of stereo anything else is the same it's all about saleing the next year that's it
I want to compare a 2018/19 Platinum trim against the 2020 XLT. I can get the old model, used, for less than the new model. Trim levels are the difference. While you get a new design and a new vehicle for the 2020 you spending a minimum of $10,000 more. Getting the older model does give you the top trim level. Are the extras from the model difference worth it? I'd expect the newer cersion, same trim level, to be an upgrade. I'm wondering if it's not that much an upgrade when you take the old, top-level trim, against a new low to mid-level.
