Great review Ben. I enjoyed what you shared. Learned some things I didn't know I had with my new black 2019 raptor I bought this past Saturday. Thank you Ben.... Brian Jamison
A bit unfair to just compare the raptor, it's a special edition vehicle so to speak and should compare it to the TRX which also, most likely, will hold its value.
A Raptor is out of my budget but 73k for a v6, twin turbo or not, stinks. I am not married to a specific truck brand and I drove them all, the Ram won me over again. I picked up a 2020 Ram 1500 Big Horn Night Edition, beautiful truck. Gonna install a supercharger and get about 600 to 650 HP and still be under 55k.
How long are you planning on keeping the truck? Servicing Raptor becomes expensive the more miles they get, but they have better resale value over rams. Are you going to be off roading or everyday comfort is more important? Also, as some suggested, I would wait another year, new Raptor and Ram TRX are on the horizon.
I sell rams and I’m always sitting in a limited and honestly looks wise and performance wise a raptor definitely wins but if you’re looking for a truck that is more for luxury you definitely need to get a Ram nothing beats that huge full screen
@@gaffle7646 I love the Rebel front end and the others are growing on me especially the limited style. Fords do have a nice exterior and the raptor is mean looking! I've been looking at trucks lately and even in the upper tiers the GM and Fords are all plastic and just so far behind. Ram's limited interior makes the Ford's limited and GMC Denali look like a striped down work truck. I've always been a gm fan too. Hopefully the new f150 will bring some competition.
The shocks are completely different on 2019+ Raptors they're bigger and digitally controlled Fox Live Valve shocks. I think the 2019+ has the trail control as well....
Could you do a comparison video for Ford F-150 limited with the raptor engine and the ram 1500 limited! Difference between the interior and exterior, pricing and the engine size.
@@BenHardyCars He meant built-in engine noise since a lot of vehicles have a sound file that plays through speakers into the cabin. It makes the car sound better to the driver than it may actually be.
Id prefer the Rebal, but this is a nice truck..(didn't show it) but still not a fan of the open wheel wells in the rear of the truck, seeing the shocks, frame ect looks like a unfinished truck..the 3.5 is waay to small of a engine for a large truck, it will certainly make the truck go, but cramming more power from a smaller engine has never ended well long term..the GMC terrains had horrible issues with carbon building up-but that was there 4 cylinder...ford I believe changed to a duel injection (port and direct) that was there attempt to fix the carbon build up issues, but it's still asking a small engine to do a lot for a big truck..no doubt it will be a fun truck, and will last assuming you plan on trading it in..but I agree with the other post here..long term just not to sure...I do like the color and wheels though..
Tony Witt agreed. Way too much plastic for $73,000 in my opinion. Looks like a fun truck but you’d be better off getting a 2015 or 2016 model-same interior for half the price.
Trey Rees All the money goes into the suspension, engine, frame and body etc of the truck to make it an offroading beast. If you want luxury interior, buy an escalade or mercedez s class.
MrInzombia you’re right, but for only $10,000 more you could get an F-150 Shelby. It has a higher scale interior and is even more of a mechanical beast.
@@user-ci1yn8or2h The single cab only has two doors while the crew, in this case "supercrew", has 4 doors. The single cab also only has a front seat while the crew cab has a front and full-size back seat. A double cab would have 2 doors up front and two half-doors for the back. The Raptor only comes in the "supercrew" or "supercab", a double cab, with a 5'5" bed.
Couldn’t make past 5 minutes because of the hyperactive delivery but I love the truck. Someone actually said they’d take a Limited over a Raptor in the comments? Crazy and I’m old too, the limited reminds me of an old Buick.
FYI viewers, this is a car dealer salesman.... he'll always say the vehicle is "definitely worth the cost". Look for unbiased reviews from OWNERS if you're seriously considering buying one of these vehicles.
Just bought a 2020 Limited black appearance 2 weeks ago. The interior on the Ram blows out the Raptor and the ride is so nice and smooth gotta go with the limited.
