Sweet ride! You can order it without lane departure and collision avoidance, radio sounds awesome, been doing this 15 years. I've driven them all, this truck by far is the finest ride I've driven, rides awesome, new front suspension.
My company finally forced me into one of these. These trucks may look better and have a better interior layout that I do like. The blind spots are horrible. I'm 5'9 and if I drop the seat 1 inch to make the ride a little softer, I can't see the bottom half of the right nose mirror for the dash and windshield wiper. The aerodynamic cone on the side mirror along with the wide A-post make for about a 2 foot blind spot at intersections that you got to undo the seatbelt to stand and look out the windshield to see around. The side mirrors are smaller so limits field of view along with the curved mirror being blocked by the housing so the outside inch or 2 of both mirrors, all you can see is the black plastic mirror housing rather than the trailer tandems in a tight turn. Freightliner did fix the old issue of rain collecting on the side mirrors in rain, now it collects in a 1 foot whirlpool on the side windows that make it completely impossible to look out the side windows in rain, but at least the mirrors are dry and clean! Now for E-coast freighters automatic version of Georgia overdrive that makes steering feel inconsistent at best. Because the power of the power steering comes from the power steering pump being turned by the engine. When the engine RPM's drop to idle at 70mph going into a turn, the steering gets noticeably stiff. If you want to understand what this feels like, it feels like when you take a turn a little faster than you should have and the load pushes you an extra foot or so farther than you want to be. But when you tap the pedal the steering comes back. Creepy and weird feeling.
Since 2003 when these new emissions trucks have been coming out it has been a disaster for the one truck owner operator. They break down constantly due to emissions problems. Many have gone bankrupt because of these trucks. It doesn't matter if you have a warranty. The dealerships are a nightmare. You end up waiting for your truck to get fixed for weeks. The government didn't think this out before going so hard on emissions. I hope someone starts a class action lawsuit against the manufactures and government. Too many people hurt.
The lobbyists pay the Congress on behalf of the manufacturers, and the large carriers that lease these trucks cheap, at the same time large carriers don't want owner operators, they want you to lease from them so they can triple their profits, how ever the only option that constituents have is electing people that will completely BAN LOBBYING, IT'S A LEGAL BRIBERY. UNTIL Then we are screwed!
The warranty the dealers are giving is a big lie. When you buy the truck you are done with the dealer, they won't fix you anything if you have problems. They will tell you many many reasons that the truck is not cover by the warranty and they will keep your truck in dealer for weeks till you get mad and can't afford to keep the truck there and leave. Those emissions systems they have installed in the trucks are a big engineering failure. Also is very expensive to fix them and sometimes you can't even fix them, they are very complicated for the dealer technicians. I never liked the newer trucks.
SHSSH is all about statistics, once you get into buying one of those trucks you are stuck, only but only if they produce pure electric trucks as expected that is when you can escape this extortion and if not stay with your old truck without EGR and DEF
After reading the comments , I can’t be happier rebuilding my 07. It has minor problems compared to these new trucks. Just today at the dealer if getting a air line, I heard one guy with service talking about his check engine light and how it goes on and off and de rates the truck but they can’t figure out why. After they had the truck for a day. That’s crazy.
I talked to a guy who drives one as a company truck. He said it rides so rough. How is it that in this day and age with all we know, that manufacturers are building trucks that cause fatigue, putting lives at risk?
antennas should be put on the back of cab standard for the sake of breaking from trees a towel rack on top of C.B. standard would be great product upgrades
This truck is an overpriced piece of Junk. I own a 2018 with only 100k miles. All kinds problems electronics transmission you name it. You will go broke if you buy one. And some dealers do not ohner your warranty. Transmission problems should be covered by warranty. But they still charged me 500 usd. A week later it went back to the shop.
I been driving these trucks since 2017 when the 2018 came and let me tell you the 2018 are the best version of this truck drove it until 330k until my carrier sold it and gave me a 2019 one which was even worse now I’m driving a 2020 just bigger fuel tanks more lights come up they need to fix the ride instead of working on looks without the aero x package this is still a freight shaker
We're driving one now. Compared to our old 2017 model, the 2019 and 2020 models are just cheap n nasty. The windshield design lets rain water around to the side windows blocking off vision of mirrors. The refridgerator sits on the floor. Door catch is plastic and wont keep door closed. Had to bend down top steel frame so this would latch properly. Don't let your windows down in high wind. They refuse to go back up. Top shelf. Dam. I'm 6 foot and can't even see up there. And, theres no place to mount a CB antenna. After a short discussion, we've decided to dump this truck n buy Peterbilt.
Have a 2019 rather be back in a Pete vents in sleeper on bottom bunk dont make sense everyone says there is more storage space but I dont see it ran outta room the moment I moved in this truck and if you want to argue that point be my guest cause 5 cabinets with a overhead and under bunk space and I included the small closet in the 5. ladder for top bunk is annoying as hell right in the damn middle of floor space, so if you have someone who sleeps on the top bunk either they are trapped up there until you put the ladder back down or you are have to become one with your inner flexible self.hood mirrors are on the low side so kinda pointless to have, not much of a fan of the automatics but is nice in Atlanta traffic or cali traffic but overall it's a frieghtliner not a Pete, kw or mack/Volvo. Dont know why but not having a glove box kinda annoys me but overall still like the dd15 cheaper to get worked on virtually anywhere and dont have to wait for long appointment dates like its counter parts who have to go back directly to a dealership for bigger maintenance issues.
I have to agree with everyone here. I drove a company 2019 freight last year and even though I had no issues with the electrical, it was leaking coolant. The truck had 200 miles when I got it and only had it for 2 months and during that time it kept leaking coolant. The shop couldn't figure out where the leak was coming from so they gave me some antifreeze and told me to just keep filling it up when it gets low. Just like these new cars, these new trucks are garbage.
Got 2007 Columbia new C15 engine, 10 speed manual, It will last longer than these crap all sensors, soon there will be a truck maker that will build lasting trucks. FRTLINER USED TO BUILD TRUCKS not and more they make toys now, that can only be fixed at their dealerships so they can make lots of money. I advise buy it new use 400k or 4 yrs then dump...lol
Nah the drivers are garbage, I see it all the time where rookies think they're in a Corvette or a mud jumping contest.... If you treat her right she'll treat you right . She's going to put out whatever energy you put in her .
They make it look like European Mercedes does. It's basically the same, I even heard that they import engines from Europe and just rebrand them as Detroit Diesel, might be a hoax though
No thanks,I wouldn't have one if someone gave it to me. So many things that can go wrong from the emissions to all that extra electrical stuff. $$$$ ill keep my 2007.
Only 200 gallons on fuel? how pissant is that! that will get you like 700 miles if that. Trucks in Australia have up to 2200 LITRES which will get you like 8800 kilometres.
If I weren’t a company driver and actually owned my 2015 Cascadia, I would be broke. Three One boxes and five months down time in 380,000 miles. You have to budget 10,000 a year to maintain the exhaust system.
Man I’ve never seen a frieghtliner before that thing looks like it’s too good to drive on the road or rain I would buy it and stick it in the garage just to look at it and say freightliner every time I wake up
if some of you all worry about the reliability of this vehicle well then why dont you get a full warranty where you dont have to worry about anything, cant go wrong with that
@@adilusa у нас в компании много 19 года! Автомат у них мягкий,плавно переключается! И тише чем 15 год! Я на локале работаю,у нас 99 процентов автомат коробка!
Nice truck until I saw the ONGUARD in the bumper! No thanks. Those devices cause breakdowns in my opinion. Freightliner does not want reliability. Unreliable equals profitability for freightliner.
These new makes are not made to last anymore, they can put all the specs on paper, but they don’t last, the older trucks, now them were real trucks, last you well over 1million miles
Want so bad, but need not so much. I’ll let my employer stick with the repairs bills. Beautiful truck, but like anything new these days, too many issues,
Is it possible that nobody comments on the fact this thing has digital dash!!!! two of them!!! Thats not in new cascadia. Is this non USA market truck?
I see they have the same stupid design when it comes to the air vent in the sleeper.. No vent up top which mean it’s stays hot up there and No vent at the corner where the drivers feet’s would be.. But they have two vent next to the drivers face when they sleep.. My Peterbilt 579 was much better 4 vents one in each corner..
I just drove by 2019 brand new cascadia being towed😂😂. I'm keeping my 2014 cascadia junk, rebuild the motor still cheaper and making money than buying new junk. So much electronic to fuck up more.
Умеют же в других странах делать грузовые машины для водителей,комфортные и удобные,что бы водители могли работать с удовольствием,а не как у нас два дня в рейсе неделю под камазом
a lot of money and too much breakdowns i just have one 2015 and too much breakdowns it's not worth having this trucks i returned to freightliner now i got a 2000 century nice truck
