2020 Genesis G90 5.0 V8 Review - Sounds great! Loud, Bold & Luxury Sedan from Genesis.

FINALLY got my 2020 G90 5.0 AWD after four months of waiting. Fantastic car!! Traded my 2017 G90 5.0 AWD in on it and have not regretted it one bit. It took forever for the 2020 to make it's way to the US market and then after I ordered we get a world pandemic. But I finally got it and love it!

Thanks to Genesis for NOT gluing a tablet to the top of the dashboard like every other car designer is doing these days. Dashboard screens should be integrated into the dash, not tacked on top of it.

Love Genesis. Dropping in a N/A 5.0 in a sedan in 2020. His reaction is right, they sound great. Who cares if it is not the fastest, still is satisfyingly awesome.

I like the way the car handles on curbs and at high speed. I also like how quite the cabin is from outside noise. The car itself is outstanding, I love the style of the body, the inside design, and the 5.0 V8 engine. I would love to own a Shiny Black 2020 Hyundai Genesis G 90.

Finally an infotainment integrated directly onto the dashboard and not like that new trend where it looks like someone glued an iPad on top of the dashboard

Videos like these just make me realize how great this channel is. There is no need for flashy cameras or bursting music. The camera placement is just perfect and i just love how more focus is on actual driving and "INSIDE CABIN" view, rather than shooting beautiful flybys. Keep up the great work. You need to have more subs. 😉

Absolutely NOTHING I dislike about this car : I feel it's a true contender for the S Class. The heavy facelift IMHO really settled the car, cabin colour combination is delightful and boy that Tao 5.0 V8 sound so refined. Absolutely no doubt I'd choose this over a 7 Series or an A8. One more thing, your jacket is beautiful, nice cut and great leather colour 👍🏼!

I enjoyed your review of the 2019 G90 5.0 HTRAC. As of this month (May 2019) I have had my 2017 G90 5.0 HTRAC for exactly two years and 23,000 miles. It is a fantastic car and I am looking forward to trading it in on a 2020 G90 5.0 HTRAC as soon as they start arriving in the United States. As to some specific comments Asian Petrohead made in his review I have the following feedback. 1 - Yes the 5.0 V8 is much more refined and relaxed than the 3.3 T. I drove both and loved the V8 as soon as I drove it. 2 - Mileage over 2 years and 23,000 miles averages 18 - 19 mpg in combined city/highway, with more city in the mix. 3 - Handling is great considering the size and weight. If you select "Sport" for the drive mode, you can embarrass some sport sedan drivers on tight radius cloverleaf entrance/exit ramps. I usually drive in "Smart" but the "Sport" setting is available for use if you want it. 4 - Highway ride is smooth, quiet and comfortable. The suspension soaks up road imperfections quite well and the triple sealed doors and noise reducing glass really make it a relaxing ride (as relaxing as driving in St. Louis traffic with crazy drivers and 18 wheelers everywhere). Final comment - this is a great all around car and if you are looking at BMW 7-Series, Mercedes S-Class or Audi A8 - do yourself a favor and give the G90 a try (if you can find one!). With the money I saved I bought my wife a Mini Cooper S Convertible! My 6 year old great grandaughter loves the car and loves playing with all the button in the back. When it was in the shop for regular service she couldn't wait to get "her" car back.

Really a good review...Hyundai has got to be one of the most innovative automobile companies in this time. They've done a great job on all of their cars and the Genesis line has come on quickly to compete side by side with the top luxury lines that have been at this for decades.

I have a 2018 G90 with the V8. I chose it over the turbo six because turbo engines, if driven aggressively, are under a more stress and subject to faster wear. The V8 is also smoother (I’ve driven the turbo six, a loaner car.) I get 30 MPG on the freeway at 75 miles per hour. I wonder, Charlie, if you could shave a half a second off the 0-60 time with the V8. It has more horsepower and torque than the turbo six. Love your reviews, liked your reference to ‘Grandpa,’ as that’s what I am. A car guy at age 72! Anxiously awaiting a look/review of the upcoming Genesis luxury SUV. As nice as the Palisade and Kia Telluride are, I can only imagine how tricked out the big Genesis will be.

NOW THAT'S A GREAT TEST DRIVE. He enjoyed testing this puppy, EXACTLY as I would have. Drive it as I would realistically had I owned this magnificent machine. 5liter V8, 8spd auto, & all wheel drive. Awesome test & car. Also, very few owners of this type of car will NOT care too much about MPG. Nevertheless, it's quite decent. Wonderful long distance car. I'll TAKE IT! But, how much $$$?

I loved the wheel design when I first saw this model earlier. Definitely not what everyone else is doing. Soon all the Germans will be copying the Koreans!!! Genesis has come a long way.

I love the sound of that V8, and you drove the car hard to really see it's performance potential, one of my favourite cars. I had an Equus Ulitmate with the 4.6£ and it was a good car, but this g90 is such an improvement compared to it, great video.

That’s a really beautiful car, very distinctive from the Germans and the Americans. I think that front grill should be the Genesis emblem. In a related topic: what do you do to stop traffic on public roads so you can drive like you stole the car?!

Yeah, the rear light bar is pretty much Lincoln. This beam does look better than Lincoln’s to be honest. The interior materials look super high quality, love the multi toned colors as well.

Wish they had a sport look hehe now that would look sweet. Other than that it’s impressive! Another great review.
