I get the biggest kick out of the Ram/Ford fanboy comments. As far as the Rams 12.6" infotainment system...why? I understand that there's a demographic of truck buyers who want these features and although I think they're nice, I personally have no need for it. I'm too old school I suppose, and feel that if you want every bell and whistle with luxury attached, buy a Navigator or Yukon Denali. While at first the newly designed Silverado/Sierra HD's were hard on the eyes, I have grown to actually quite like their looks. I like the 1500 Silverado/Sierra looks too for 2019/2020 and think that GM has a nice line up on their hands. I will say that for what the manufacturers are charging for their trucks, I will not be buying anytime soon. I bought my first house for $42,500 (although that was almost 30 years ago)and to buy a vehicle that is more than my first house is ludicrous.
I like the front tow hooks being Vertical and pushed out. My 2017 Duramax has the horizontal and tucked in. These are easier to get to, look more aggressive and add extra protection.
Would have been nice to quote the specific towing capability of the 2500 especially since GM added an extra sticker in the door of the truck which is specific to each truck. The quoted value was for a 3500 dually truck
Nice truck. Dont like the def = demcrat exhaust fluid and system, push button start and mirrors. I still like a traditional tailgate that you get out and open by hand.
Great post. Two questions. 1) When you did the rear seat demonstration, was the driver seat in your normal driving position? 2) If the answer to question one is yes, what is your height?
Nice review despite all the negative comments. Bit rich for my blood but if i could get $30k for my 2005 3500 dually with 35,000 miles it might be worth it. Guess i need to visit the GMC website and see what the options are.
This is a really nice truck and I was actually looking at them but I have to say that GM really did copy a lot of Ford features and I own a 18 platinum and that’s just my opinion.
To many bells and whistles for work, it's an absolutely beautiful luxury vehicle-truck. They finally got a stroke of genus at GMC/ Chevrolet and designed a power inlet switch for the engine warmer, WOW, it's about time! How about relocating the DEF fill spout behind the fuel door, WOW it's about time! These designs in practicality are totally element. The warranty that's offered is laughable as well, considering the vehicle coast, not to mention the moment it's drive off the lot 35% of it's value is gone. The consumer is the one getting jackleg in this deal. Good luck selling these cheese burgers in this recessionary economy.
Bought my 2020 2500 At4 brand new off the lot in august 2020 for 74k, just refinanced it from 4.9 to 2.5 with a different bank and when they did there appraisal they showed the truck goes for 76-79k, my friend who was working at the same company im working at and unfortunately was laid off due to production cuts went to work for GMC Cadillac he was the one i bought it from, i was joking around with him about selling my truck to get away from the payment, a couple weeks later he called me back saying ( hey if you really want to get rid of that truck we will buy it back from you for what you paid for it, and i will have it sold in a couple hours for more then what we paid you back for it, this was a couple days ago when i talked to him, they are selling a basic model AT4 with pretty much the basic shit as it gets for 79,899 and it has 14,000 miles on it mine has 13,000 and it has every bell and whistle i could have put on it. So no it did not loose any value at all,
while were inside the truck Im gonna show you inside, and then take a look inside the truck, so...lets get inside and take it for a spin while we're inside.
The orange reflector/light on the wheel wells look ridiculous. Rear bumper is wimpy. The nose is nice. The truck sits perfect on side view... Very beefy looking. Interior is still plain. But the deal breaker is the price $60-$80k. These truck mortgages are out of hand.
So I guess we won’t show a big fat guy climbing up the tailgate step now? That step must now officially be a good idea that GM finally copied it from FoMoCo. Aluminum on the frame? I guess GM Aluminum must be of better quality cause it was stupid when FoMoCo put it in non load bearing parts. Oh and I hear GM now has a Carbon Fiber bed which is so much more economical to fix then an Aluminum one after a fender bender. I’ll bed every body shop has autoclaves laying around. LMAO
$75k for a truck....u r OUT OF YOUR MINDS! An additional 10k for the desiel engine. That desiel is not anywhere near worth and additionsl 10k to make and install. You guys are high on something.
Previous years were "bouncy"? Aluminum frame? Come on! I've owned a 2015 High Country HD and a 2018 SLT HD, both Diesels. Neither were "bouncy". I bet this guys does not own a late model truck. This guy is full of you know what.
I used it alot these past weeks, been loading 80lb cement bags and it makes it a breeze getting them futher into the bed of the pickup then having to prop it up on tail gate and having to push it in the rest of the way, it also nice for when my wife needs to hope up in the box and needs a step to do so. Its already on the pickup so why not use it i like it.
