Artosis was spot on when talking about Byun's style and approach to this game. His style may work on 99.9% of players. But Maru's in a league of his own.
@@tigera6 I agree with you that maru has those things over byun, but you don't think it takes more skill, mental endurance to be able to macro, micro and be aggressive, while constantly attacking the entire game? It's easy to macro and have perfect army composition when you turtle, over being aggressive
@@SirLanceMan TvT actually is going more defensive in the current META. There are so much things you can do running Marines around if you dont have the superior army and Sky control. Unless its in the first 3-4 minutes of the game, TvT favors players that can set up solid defense and then counter attack with a strong push. And it take good planning with strategy to pull that off as well, not just easy to "turtle" if you dont know how to do it.
Maru did well this was almost like a mirror match to him, in many ways byunn plays like him and he really mixed it up to a wider more versatile unit composition.
These 2 should do an archon mode, where byun just need to control marines and medivacs, while maru the tech armies. Byun is very good when controlling marines
Man maru looking like 2018 again...now zerg has been sorted. He even managed partin and even almost did stats despite protoss being blizzards chosen race right now.
"despite protoss being blizzards broken race right now." That is a complete joke, presuming that your serious, the last time a protoss won a big tournament was ASUS ROG which was back in 2019 around June I think. That's the last time protoss has won a big tournament, over a year. I dont understand why you think protoss is broken when it's been forever that they won a tournament
I do see one advantage to Byun's style here. Early and mid game he has map control. He may not be trading efficiently but he's more mobile so Maru has to play slow until he reaches critical mass. I think if byun does just enough to keep Maru on the defensive and doesn't keep throwing away units it could be good. Use that map control to expand like crazy. I'm talking double and triple expand, Maru has already shown he's not willing to fight offensively in the mid game. So you are either forcing him to fight before he's ready or you get way ahead in economy. You can then use that economic advantage to do what zerg does and trade inefficiently but still whittle down your opponent with superior economy, or to catch up on the ravens+vikings. Since your money is gonna be better you could spend the access on more production buildings to offset the advantage that Maru has built his high tech units first. This way when you do fight and (hopefully) trade, you can replenish yours faster and have the upper hand.
@Split Dimension Oh yeah, definitely not Maru's fault, I just meant that Maru is such a dominating player that even someone as good as Byun gets smacked down so hard by him
yeah guys that is what i wanted to hear about when watching SC2 game about commentor's child times, about his wife level of commenting is bronze - very sorry it is official
@@yonker1337 I usually watch russian commentators, I know that at start of the game there is nothing to comment. Alex007 at start time tells about players biography, styles, or the new game metas, but not about his wife or childhood)
@@Khashimova_wellness to each their own. I like these two guys. They're knowledgeable about the game and fill the dead space with some good banter. I have no objections.
