2020 Harley Davidson CVO Trike: First Look 

I have an 05 RG with a Motor Trike Gladiator kit under it. I went with all the options, even the tow package. Have had it 5 years, love it!!! With that Motor Trike kit, independent suspension, you can still lean a little for the nostalgia feeling!

@@jimmymclucas6370 yeah that mechanical reverse will go as fast in reverse as it can in 1st. Scary first time you goose it.... I've put about 35k on it since the upgrade with me being medically down 1 year and her being down for another..... She still get a me moving and clears my mind.... Rise her every chance I can, even just to the store...

Been riding 51 years and have had 6 Harley's. Just bought 2019 trike. My wife now wants to go on it all time. For 30 years could not get her on the back after a close call with a ditch in the road. I can ride 2 wheels but not with a passenger anymore. Love it!!

The Evo is the most reliable and user friendly in regards to being able to work on yourself. The Twin Cam was an excellent format and could have easily been a better motor than the Evo but H-D was so focused on cutting costs they really screwed that up. The M8 might be an improvement but it has had it's issues since being released, again mostly due to H-D doing things on the cheap. Now they are saying they're coming out with these "new models" which are really sort of shake up the parts bin and see what pops out. Then throw all of them up against the wall and see what sticks. Put some "lipstick on a pig" pretty metallic paint and bling on them to cover up all the engineering flaws and call it good.

@@TheHarleyTech Looks like terahz1 sent you the link but the title could have been typed into the YT search bar and it'll go right to the video. Rabid Hedgehog doesn't have a lot of subscribers but I like these types of vlogs because they're totally independent. Some of these independent vloggers don't really know what they're talking about but others are OK. I know you're sort of committed to not going off course because you're working at a dealership but I believe you probably agree with at least some of what he says. FYI I've been a H-D owner for a long time, long, long time...lol. I'm pro H-D, even though lots of times it might not seem that way. I've had rigid Pans, Shovels, a '57 Sporty, '75 Sporty, Evos, Twinkies, etc., etc. as well as a few English & German bikes. No Jap bikes ever. Managed a H-D dealership during the Shovelhead era and had my own indy shop. Even had a few bikes featured in magazines. I didn't really care for that too much though because I saw so much patronage going on and it was a real buddy/buddy system. Totally pissed when H-D discontinued the fastest most reliable model they ever made (V-Rod) so I sold my turbo Muscle & replaced it with a Ducati XDiavel S (excellent replacement choice). I still also have my '74 FXE with a Baker 6>4 tranny and my 120R Trask turbo FLHX, Baker comp. & Attitude Adjuster, complete Barnett Scorpion lockup clutch & clutch basket, Baker 7 speed tranny, etc., etc., lots of $$$ (buy a bike & spend another $15K on it & you can finally have a reliable bike with good power...lol). Also FYI I'm pretty much all on board for EV's. I find the whine that H-D has built into the Livewire sort of annoying but I've read that this can be modified. I like the look of the Livewire but the price and range will keep me from getting one for a while. We can't live in the past. If we want motorcycles to be powerful and reliable and still meet government environmental standards manufacturers need to make more bikes liquid cooled and innovative such as Ducati has been with their Desmodromic Variable Timing. H-D has not been an innovator in any of these fields for a very very long time. Fucking long comment ehhh?

@@ozzie444 I do hope you think I know what I'm talking about :) I miss the VRod. I owned a 15 Night Rod for a while and put over 10 grand on her. It was the best of the 6 Harleys I owned. Part of what shaped me now is working for the dealers here in my home state. Seeing how business was done left a bad taste in my mouth especially sales, although when I was on service side I did see some things that didn't go over well. I am pro HD as well and wish they would come back around. I believe part of their issue is leaning too much on stock holder opinions and a CEO who is just a puppet to them without vision. I understand they market themselves as a "premium American motorcycle" company. But to me they would need to back off productions and models, focus on hand built factory customs, and use higher grade components before they can reach that level. HD of the past was the blue collar hero, now it's the white collar show piece.

Don’t tell anyone, but I think I’d probably go sports car/convertible. Then again, that’s 34 year old me making plans for old me. Rarely am I right 😂

I am talking to him, and hope to find a good schedule for both of us.

As we all ride we can always learn something new, hopefully to pass down to our kids that may save us or save them in situations. I think he’s one of the best good luck and thanks again for all the great videos
