Fat Bob is the best and most innovative Harley ever made and the fact that it's very un-traditional Harley VS all the boring designs of the past is a big plus for me. I've had probably 40 different bikes in 30+ yrs of riding and my 2021 Fat Bob is the best cruiser/sport hybrid motorcycle I've ever ridden or owned
I'm a metric rider. And by metric I mean I've ridden nothing but sport bikes. Yamaha mainly. I currently own a mt10. I saw a 2021 fatbob and bought it. Its my first harley and I love it. I'm keeping it forever. The fatbob turned me from a harley hater to a fanboy. Congratulations to harley for getting me as a life long customer. Awsome bike harley.
Owned both. Kept the Fatbob and sold the Lowrider S. The finish is better on the Fatbob with too much cheap plastic on the Lowrider behind the faring. Ergonomics if you are a. tall rider are way better on the Fatbob with the fwd controls and overall handling is sharper with the shorter rake. The only gripe with the Fatbob is the small tank. Looks wise the Lowrider S is prettier but there's nothing that looks like the Fatbob on the road. Nice work lads.
I just bought a 2020 Fat Bob 114 (Orange and Black) with a two brothers racing stage ll two into one pipe and high intake air cleaner and a bigger cam. It does 153 ft pounds at the rear wheel and 142 hp. I put a 2in riser on the handle bars and dropped the mirrors under. Did a taillight kit and plate fender mount. She is one Bad Bad ride!!!
I have not been a Harley person and the Fat Bob is really intriguing. This is the bike that brought me into a Harley dealer for the first time and the test ride did not disappoint. But the more traditionally styled bikes (softail slim?) are also attractive in a different way and offer a more relaxed cruising kind of riding that is not the Fat Bob's specialty.
I rode both back to back and for me, it was the Fat Bob all day long!! More comfortable and handled better. I’ve owned Triumphs and BMWs and I would like to own a Harley one day.
I had the opportunity to ride both of these bikes at a Demo Day last year. I own an Indian Scout Bobber, but had seriously considered the Fat Bob, so I was thrilled for the chance to ride one. I though I was gonna love it, but it felt "off" to me somehow. The power was great, the looks are amazing but the handling felt weird to me... Maybe it was just that I found the handlebars odd. Anyhow I got done with the test ride and felt no regret in choosing my Scout Bobber. Then I took out the new Lowrider S....WOW, I was blown away with how that bike felt. It's literally perfect out of the box and I would be proud to own that beast! Lowrider S for me.
Rode both, as well as Slim, Slim won out. All different function bikes, Slim had looks, comfort, power, and handling all rolled into one. All three exceptional bikes, Slim just so much more stylish in my eye! Basically, can’t go wrong with any!
I fell in love with the Fat Bob. For my next Harley I wanted a bike with a short rake, decent suspension, dual disc front end, no chrome, and as tall seat height as i could get. FXFBS was built for me. When the FXLRS came out, its a nice bike, but still like my Fat Bob better.
I love my Fat Bob. I have the same Orange & Black with Stage II upgrades. Screaming Eagle air breather, TBR 2:1 pipes, and S&S 475 Cam with Trask transmission upgrade.
I was torn between the Low Rider S and the Fat Bob. Went with the Fat Bob, and regret nothing. The bike is a blast to ride, and get so many double takes and compliments. Dont sleep on the Fat Bob.
It's funny watching this as someone who has never been a Harley fan but has recently bought a Fat bob. At the end you say he bought the Harley because of the name, the shirt, the community etc. I've never experienced this as a sport-bike kid. I've never liked Harley's, I've ridden everything other than a Harley (unless you count a Buell which I've owned several) but this 107 (skinny bob?) is great. Granted it's cammed and it has a thinner front tire. I'm really enjoying it, mostly because it pisses off hardcore Harley bros lol
I own a 21 low rider s and it’s also my 21st bike. I’m loving everything about it but I did add risers, forward controls, sport glide fairing with 14in windshield and a sport glide seat. Working on building what I will call the LRST. Just need sport glide bags and the SE 2 into 1 to finish it. I love the fat bob as well but the LRS just fit my build plan better. I do think the LRS should have came with forwards and the fat bob with mids. Would make more sense to me. I may end up adding a fat bob to the garage later as an around town bike when I just want to rip it.
The fatbob hands down is the best performance Harley. If you center the controls and throw a chain on it’s pretty much ready to go after a stage 1. Rob at 1wheelrevolution stunts the fatbob and as a streetbob owner I totally understand why when my wife drove the fatbob home to our garage.
I just bought the 2020 Low Rider S. Having come from street bikes (and also working at a Harley dealer, so, seeing these bikes every day)... now and again I get buyers remorse wondering if I shoulda gotten the Fat Bob. It was partly its current popularity that led me to get the Low Rider S. But the Fat Bob rides quite nice and is also a great platform and is better for the turns.
I test rode both. My choice is the Low Rider S. I love that bike. But ... it is definitley over priced. I currently own a 2015 Super Low 1200T that I bought used (had 1000 miles on the odometer when I bought it. Paid $6,000.00 for it). Been satisfied with SL1200T but after riding the Low Rider S well, but again IMO it is over priced new. Though the LRS is the best Harley I have ever ridden IMO.
I test rode a Fab Bob recently, and while I was at the dealer the salesperson mentioned the Low Rider S is almost the same bike: same engine, same transmission, same frame, same suspension. Main differences are mid controls vs forward controls, slightly larger gas tank, and different seat.
I wish I could of found the low rider s but found my sweet Bob and honestly I was surprised how much torque it had love my ride but one day I do wanna have a low rider s
Lowrider S is my choice for the best Harley ever the Fat Bob with the 114 is a close 2nd. If I ever go to a bagger style bike it would be a Road Glide Special or a Road King Special.
Unless I could get a bigger custom tank for that Fat Bob , I wouldn’t get one - too small. The Low Rider has a five gallon tank that gives you a decent range.
Haven't ridden either but the FB just isn't my flavor so I'd pick the LRS. Being as I ride an 02 Night Train and 05 Buell xb12r, I'm sure both would feel phenomenal. I wonder what it's like to ride a Harley with no vibrations above 75mph?
You can put a Low Rider S headlight on the Fatbob if you don’t like how it looks. If you don’t like the weird headlight a “traditional” round headlight is available. Kind of wish Harley would Advertise you could change them out. In theory you should be able to swap the larger Low Rider S tank onto a Fatbob
Coming Japanese bike's and bmw bike's 15 year's of GS ..... Had an invite to a Harley day had a go on there new 1250 didn't like it ... fat bob which had V&H exhaust .... OMFG .... you never seen that money move so fast lol Now have 4 bike's in my garage .... Good job my other half never goes in there and all bike look the same lol
Love my at Bob. So James, my Brit friends have gotten me deep into Premier League. What's your team mate? Are you a Chelsea lad? Liverpool? Maybe a Manchester man? Thanks both of you for the great videos.
if they brought out a 114 sportglide, that would be it. in terms of touring im with you on the roadglide, and love low rider s and fatbob. But even with the 107 the sportglide is the swiss army knife of bikes
Love my Fat bob but mines a stage 3 117 and ive done a 5 gallon tank conversion which Harley should have done from the start as the small tank looks bad in comparison
@@davidmckeown6313 hey buddy it was the 5gallon heritage I used but you can use any of the new softail 5 gallon tanks and just change the Speedo mount like I did.
Low Rider-S easily. I’ve owned both the Dyna 2016 and the Softtail 2020. Tail of the dragon and the power, control and speed I was able to achieve wasn’t even matched by any fat bob there. But, that may also be a rider thing.
put anything taller for bars on the lowrider s and it changes everything your talking about. The mid controls just seem to go away and become comfortable. The seat and bars make the lowrider a horrible feeling riding bike stock. Seat and bars and I promise you will see this bike come alive. Of course with 2into one pipe.
That buying into the name and being part of the Harley family is why I think I've never truly bonded with my Fatbob. I think if you embrace the lifestyle then maybe you overlook the faults of the bike more.
I'd like the fat bob with 2 optics, very classic...the new..I don't know, it's the harley "V-max" ? or something like that! I will choose a softail low rider S instead, or a "Breakout"...
For me, it’s the Breakout it looks so cool! But driving a Low Rider S made me consider buying that one (with forward controls) because it’s a beast, scraping the pegs in the corners on a +-300kg motorcycle is awesome! But the Road Glide is in fact the best, and the coolest Harley
own the FXFBS and it does everything I want and more. Looks are what I wanted too. Each his own but I bet both bikes make their owners happy for sure,, the rest can just be jealous ! Bottom line for me is like tits,,, the Fat bob are the feel natural may not please the eyes as much, and the low rider are the better looking don't quiet feel the best . All good :
Silver helps the LR, but its looks are still meh. I've ridden the FB a few times and they are nice, but the exhaust is really close to my ankle and heats up on hot days. Hate the balloon tires though. It may be the best handling HD, but I couldn't bear to see ATV wheels on my motorcycle. Personally, I'd go with the Breakout. It's beautiful and doesn't give up all that much in terms of handling. You just need to work it a little more. Shame, it could have been near perfect with a 180 tire in the rear.
needs different mirrors. They need to be higher and the teardrop shapes need to be reversed. They could stick out a bit more. That is what I am going to change about mine. I will find some better mirrors.
It's very attractive for the price. Needs the factory option of forward controls though, $800 just to change those in OZ... Add on pipes and other bits an pieces and your 5k over the initial ask.
Harley salesman. But all biased apart I own the DYNA Lowrider s. But if I was going to buy a new Harley it would be a Fatbob. 100%. My local dealer tried to give me a test ride. We all know how that ends. My dyna will take some beating. And it’s got shocks.
Low Rider S all the way. Traditional kick ass looks. Same as my '79 FXEF. Fat tires look like it came out of a cartoon. 114? Why, when you can have a 117. 3.5 gallon tank sucks for my long hauls. 16's front and rear do nothing to enhance handling or lean angle. Forward controls suck too. LRS kicks butt.
Great video guys but still showing no love for the poor straight Low Rider (sob, sob). Not saying it threatens these 2 bikes but would love to hear some thoughts on it.
It handles better than both the fat bob and Lowrider S. Trust me it’s a secret, and overlooked. You can check my review as to way up in the comments. :)
So Jake chooses the LRS over the FB based on looks..... Then at the end throws in the Roadglide is the best current HD in the lineup over a Streetglide.......
I'd take the Toyota 4runner..... an IPA, and uhhh, a Takamine guitar. Gee glad we both cleared that all up. Welp ima go comment about how good are burgers on a sushi channel now. Take care.
Why does James talk funny?... It amazes me that someone will give his opinion what is better to him and that we should believe that what he says is true for everyone. The bios toward one bike is clearly overt and that is ok. My point here is that you get 10 people on the bike that they like and they will give you 10 different opinions why the bike that they like is better,so the whole point of this video is...Pointless...Right?...we all like what we like and we are all different and that is ok...right?
What a boring world it would be if no one shared their opinions. It's what makes life beautiful, we all have different views, but we're all part of this crazy thing they call the human race. Peace. And thanks for watching.
I have ridden both bikes. They should have been bikes that were tailor made for me, but both bikes are are flawed!. I will stick with the Sport Glide, although I would love the 114 engine and twin front disks that or on the Fat Bob and Lowrider S on my bike!.
@@smilinazzdoggy825 harley enthusiasts wont ride these street 750s and tiny crossover bikes. Nor do people want to pay 35k for a new bike. I love hd but they wont last much longer in business by catering so much to the Asian culture. Harley has been making decisions that is killing their industry.
The livewire is a perfect example of a bike nobody wants, and harley cant sell them. Yet they put millions into r & d for electric bikes and nobody is purchasing them. Over $30k on the sticker with a 150 mile range. Yeah, they are versatile. I'll give you that.
How on earth can the Low Rider S not feel as nippy as the Bob. The S has 93hp at 308 kg wet whereas the Bob is 83hp at 306 kg wet. That simply doesn't make sense.
They do on the Uk website. www.harley-davidson.com/gb/en/motorcycles/low-rider-s.html Seems I missed an engine option tab on the website, so on paper they are the same with that engine option. So as I previously stated there shouldn't be anything in it then.
