2020 Honda Accord Hybrid Test Drive Video Review 

It is properly called an Electrically-coupled Continuously Variable Transmission. What that means is that in most situations, there is no mechanical connection (no actual "transmission") between the engine and the wheels. The engine will try to work at its most efficient point (2000 rpm, 34 HP) and is used only to generate electricity. The car is driven only by the 181 HP electric motor. Any surplus or deficit of power is handled by the battery. In some highway conditions, a clutch connects the engine to the wheels in a single, overdrive gear ratio.

I've got the 2020 Touring. Black on black with dark black tint. About to throw on some black gloss 20" rims. Love it.

As a secondary review to this for people who want to hear how well it is. I got mine fairly recently and have 7000 miles on it. Not a lot. The car teaches you to pace your driving with your eco score. It's very efficient and I average 45 mpg when I drive. I mainly drive highway mileage. Comfortability is insanely high. You really can feel the horsepower being stable. It takes off on fairly well when I'm in a pickle and need to speed up. And it's incredibly noticeable in sports mode. The engine uses significantly more gas on the highway and it's very noticeable. But the horsepower you desire also gives it a great takeoff feel when you need it. The hybrid hum that you hear is legally needed since theres no engine sound effect. It's too quiet. And it really isnt that loud in my car. The fuel efficieny is insane. I dont remember the exact gallons it holds but I refilled my tank at 6.7 gallons, $2.98 per gallon in our expensive time. Which ended up being $19.68 so just about 20 dollars. But I didnt refill for 3 weeks straight. I used 347 miles across the time period. It's an incredible gas saver. I was roughly just below half a tank. Its extremely efficient in comparison to weekly $38 on my honda accord 08. So I went from spending $150+ a month to now $50 to $60 a month. That's a huge change. The only gripe I have is the bluetooth delay when I play music. Its roughly 2 seconds a delay preventing me from watching videos. Which comes down to how it translates music like it translate phone lines which is information sent to its codec, then translated back. It's fine situationally but extremely annoying that it has to translate all audio to the speakers after receiving the initial information. It's common on a lot of honda bluetooth but I wish it would be fixed by now. Otherwise all other features as a car work amazingly. Would prefer an audio Jack if anything in these cars.

I guess I'm getting this as my commuter. Love it. Great MPG for the price, looks good and the interior looks great as well.

Bought my new base trim 2019 hybrid model a year ago for just under $21k (basically inventory price). 30k miles and never taken it to the shop for anything other than an oil change and tire rotation. If you're able to get a good deal like me, than hands down its a steal imo

The Accord is awesome in any form, I have 2020 Sport 2.0T and it is awesome in every way...I only wish Honda gave more to Sport model such as HPD body kit and adaptive suspension system and at least red piping or stitching and a little more power...but don't need anything else to make it be great just to differentiate between models.

I love my Accord Hybrid. While I drive in Econ mode 99% of the time, the other 1% is sport mode. I don't use the sport mode for fun, it just comes in handy in certain driving situations, and definitely helps me in and out of situations quickly.

I’ve got the 2019 Honda Accord hybrid touring. It’s great. Quite. I usually get 47 mpg. Love my white interior but am getting a little staining on seats from clothes. ❤️🚘

You should have done some more research before making assumptions about sport mode; while everything you mentioned is true, sport mode in your car (and all touring models) also adjusts the adaptive dampers to keep the body flat through corners, and it also makes it so both the electric motor and gas motor work together to put down even more power - i.e. sport mode in this model is definitely no gimmick, it totally transforms the power and drive of this car.

How would you compare the acceleration and horsepower of this hybrid to the Honda Accord 2.0T Sport? Do you have to sacrifice a lot of power to gain extra MPGs?

I bought 2019 touring trim I love every time I get into the car, I feel like drive Lexus LS lol.

I have Honda accord LX sport 2019 , the road noise inside cabin is very annoying, and seat are not comfortable for long driving experience.

I had a 2019 Accord Hybrid Touring for 3.5 months. All the things the reviewer is touting sound good, but the execution is poor at best. Living with the car is a different story than looking at it. When he said pretty, that's about all you get. Quality was TERRIBLE with constantly crashing navigation, glitchy adaptive cruise and lane keep assist. Poor trim fit, especially around the HUD that resulted in a squeak that Honda couldn't seem to fix. The stereo is a joke. No bass whatsoever. The seats are not comfortable, at least not for tall drivers. The only thing worse than the quality is Honda's customer service. I did better than Honda's claimed MPG, which was nice. That's the ONLY thing I liked. I've owned several Honda's over the years. Honda is clearly riding on a reputation that no longer exists.

Who will by this Honda accord unsatisfactory car and worth 12 to 12.5 millon and interior is too cheap, MG hs has more aggressive interior than accord and MG hs cost: 5.5 million with sporty interior and budget car. Honda accord exterior is tremendous but its price dosen't worth car. I know MG hs is SUV but still its luxurious car from interior and as well from exterior(better). blah blah blah...I own the car and it drives like crap !! Has no acceleration and no "power" at all.its like driving miss daisy. sure its a nice looking car tho .And guess what the interior drive console is plastic and its getting scuffed up already .As if its a Chinese knock off .only been 3 months since i had the car and i take good care of it !!!cant believe it !! Never seen a car manufacturer make a drive console from the cheapest staff before and one that's painted on like with retail spray paint.SMH!!Even the kiya and hyundai are not only superior to this model ,but cheaper as well .The toyota hybrid is another alternative .The 2020 Honda hybrid is a ripoff people !!Stay away from it !!!Buyer beware !!!
