The Xceed is essentially the Epik but better.. I love the Epik but it has one feature that i hate: its limb alignment adjustment has knobs that stick out of the riser's sides.. The Xceed solved that and the result is a more streamlined riser.. And the Xceed has the potentail to be the heaviest olympic recurve riser from hoyt.. Its default weight is 1270g but if all four integrated limb pocket weights are installed it'll weigh 1440g..
That's not particularly extreme in my opinion. All risers are designed to flex to some degree when the bow is pulled back, and naturally there is going to be some vibration when the shot breaks. If there wasn't, we wouldn't be obsessing about stabilizer stiffness and put dampeners on our bows.
Mainly the limb design.. The Xi has a paralever limb pocket, Xceed has ILF.. Besides that, the Xi if it's anything like the Formula X is lighter than the Xceed by 15g..
