This is a frickin drumming masterpiece. On a train in London watching this with tears in my eyes. Absolutely everything a drum solo should be. Where's the tissues? Brilliant.. 👏 👏 👏 👏

ive been watching Kanade for years developing her style and technique. This is one of the best .....the varied changing rythmns all developing and dovetailed together is sublime......superb work Kanade !! .....one of the best drummers around in my view .
this what i like most ive watch this a hundred times lightnin fast rhythms with pure dynamics unbelievable...God bless you kid greatest drum solo as for my opinion
Wow! We all know that you are a virtuoso, but this is a milestone in musicality. I think it was Elvin Jones who said: “You need to tell a story in a drum solo“, and yes, you did!
'THAT' was a seriously Sick Drum Solo!!!!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏!!!!!!!!!! 🙇♂️🙇♂️🙇♂️ Thank you 'Kanade Sato' for some mind blowing drumming!!! どうもありがとうございました!!!
Reminds me of the old time drum solos where they would just let the drummer do their stuff. That’s even after the rest of the band got to go backstage and take a break and leave it to the drummer to do their stuff and like her make it look easy. Hats off young lady.
Just came across this cute, talented, gal (3-8-22) via RU-vid...None Better than her in, should I dare say, all percussionist I've seen?! I've been a "drummer fan" of some kind or another 60 years. I'm 71. In my start up years and for many years afterwards, drummer legends Gene Kruppa and Buddy Rich led the pack. There were rock pop drummers I somewhat admired...British rock group of the late 60's had Ginger Baker. He was amazing. The young guy from the American rock group, "Iron Butterfly " : Ron Bushy (1941 - 2021) with the famous "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" 1968 hit, was amazing to listen to. So was Led Zepplin's drummer, John Bonham (1948 - 1980) in the 1969 cut from "Led Zepplin II" - "Moby Dick" was awesome... Now, this pretty Japanese girl comes along in my long line of drummers and blows them away. Her style is great...her designs of "attack" on a rhythm and "set of tone" if you will, and coolness of style is amazing! Oh...I played percussion for some years in schools (1963 - 1970). Never felt like I was really that good at it but, sure loved those that were. (Just wish I still had that 1963 Slingerland white pearl snare drum)
That's part of growing up, live with it, an deal with it, that's my girl, wow has time speed up, I'm still remember watch her on some Roland Drum...amazing then,
I can hear a lot of Neil Peart in this solo (particularly at 0:30, 2:17 and 3:45), which is honestly the biggest compliment you could ever give a drummer in my opinion :)
holy smokes, that's probably one of the best drumming solos I have ever heard. No wonder she's playing for Li-Sa X now. She would even give Shane Galaas a run for his money. Outstanding.
Wow!!!!!! The force of the great John Bohnam is very strong in her! I hear that Bohnam influence, she’s mind blowing. I just now found out about this hammer down girl
I've known her since 2011. Wow, she has grown a lot. Her drumming is becoming a lot more fluid, even compared to 2015. I can imagine her with both Jimbo and Noritake on one stage, that would be legendary. :D
Happily quiet in her mother's womb till her father started hitting the skins: and mummy wished that the embryonic Kanade-to-be would skip the Bonzo triplets or maybe not do as many that day. Now a lovely young lady, Kanade has come a long way since she started being a credit to her art. 👏👍🌹
Fantastic as always. I can watch your videos all day. The best drummer in the world. But mom might be mad. Where is the tiara mom gave you for princes of the club? I see you have one but not the same one? Mom is surely proud of and I am for all your effort since a young age. Keep it up kanade. Your the best drummer ever and many years to come. Happy new year.
Kanade is fantastic! She hasn't even peaked in her abilities. There's hope for the future of drumming after John Bonham and Neal Peart. (Sigh of relief) ✌️
