I have driven my Telluride with adaptive cruise control for hundreds of miles. It worked great.

Just bought a Palisade and can confirm with HDA enabled, active lane assist works until you disable HDA, independent of speed. Several Telluride videos on RU-vid also proving this. They don't have lane changing capabilities. When not using HDA, you only get lane departure warning under 40 mph. Over 40 mph, you get Active lane assist. You can tell if active or not by the color of the lane graphic on the console. If green, active lane assist is enabled. If white, warning only. Finally, for some reason, in HDA, and going slow (stop and go traffic), you don't get the hand on steering wheel alarm nearly as often as highway speeds. Several minutes (I've seen 10 minutes in rush hour). Nice surprise. Seems to be tied to the 40 mph # but have not confirmed.

I also noticed that in another video, it didn't warn him until he was going highway speeds.

That in traffic hda is the bees knees. It would almost make bumper to bumper traffic bearable. Almost.

Hi - Thanks for posting your test drive. I just completed an extensive test drive myself and found that actually these Tellurides have 4 systems that can all be working (more or less) at the same time. 1. SCC Smart Cruise Control 2. LKA Lane Keep Assist 3. LFA Lane Following Assist 4. HDA Highway Drive Assist. (HDA Mostly auto-sets your speed to the posted speeds and LKA mostly simply reacts when you start to drift over a lane marker.) The MAIN level 2 technologies you were experiencing were the SCC & LFA working together. YES their technology is amazing! Maybe 2nd only to Tesla. What I think you missed is the fact that only the LKA stops working under 35 mph - IMPORTANTLY the Automated Steering (LFA) keeps working all the way down to 1-2 mph and stays engaged - just like the Stop and Go SCC. Try it again and watch it keep steering for you at 5-10mph! (even as the LKA turns off).

Thanks for the video. It seems they have added a lot of superior technology in the Kia Telluride. It seems like Kia is nearly at Level 3 autonomous driving with their advanced driver assistance systems

Yeah I am a Tesla fan, I've test driven Model S,3,X with autopilot features. But this $40k kia Telluride's highway driving assit is looking very competitive.

@@FlameMing Besides being able to change lanes on the Teslas, is there really a pronounced difference between Kia's HDA and tesla's Autopilot? any differences that jump out?
@FlameMing
@FlameMing 5 лет назад
@ That's exactly why it was so impressive, because the lane changing capability is the only difference I was able to see. The Kia was able to stay dead center between the lane markings even better than the Tesla, so I felt more confident letting it drive.

@@FlameMing How about taking corners? Did you ever feel like a corner could've been to sharp and you needed to intervene? Thanks for your response!

@ No issues, always stayed in the center of lane markings. No sudden adjustments either.

Kia calls it stop and go adaptive cruise control. To me that sounds like it stops in traffic. But you said it disengages at 35 mph. Comparing it to my 2019 pilot. It also disengages around 30mph. Got it in February and it was best value 3rs row awd crossover with LKA but this Kia is pretty close now. All depends on dealer discounts.

@Sam Viers I think, you are both talking about different things. You are right. Adaptive Cruise stays active...its the LANE KEEP ASSIST that disengages. Like in Subaru

How low can you drive using HDA without touching the steering wheel as opposed to using lane-keeping assist?
@FlameMing
@FlameMing 5 лет назад
I am assuming you meant to ask how slow? the answer is 35 MPH , when your speed goes below 35, it will dis-engage.

How many caught fire? You have higher chance of winning a lottery. You have higher chance of dying in a car accident.

Toyota has fire danger too. Just recalled million priuses due to fire risk.
