Watch the Women's Barebow Final from the 2020 Lancaster Archery Classic where Claire Xie, Cinzia Noziglia, Fawn Girard, and Lina Björklund compete for the title!
I sincerely hope she's comes back. I would love to see her again, especially as she gets more experienced. I think it's adorable she wanted a little one for her doll!
@@sarahbell8886 Yeah! the funny part was, i was standing next to her when she asked one of the employees at the Lancaster store for the bow. The guy told her to ask Rob. I didnt think she would, but was surprised when she actually asked.
@@sarahbell8886 yes! She's a talented archer and I was lucky enough to meet her at the NFAA Indoor nationals. She was rounding up the hubby and the kids. A fun bunch!
I really like what Lancaster is doing here, but the interruptions take the rhythm out of the competition, and I have no idea how the competitors can maintain their focus, especially having to be interviewed between sets. Great competition and awesome shooting.
How is this even allowed to have some dumb a.. interrupting the concentration of the archers?? This sport is 80% mental and 20% physical for experienced archers. You know what would happen, if they would pull a stunt like this in a Chess tournament....
You know the format. I guess you recoiling at the risk someone might talk to you. You'd hate to share a boss with me and about 95% of the people I see at competitions. For me 90% of an archery competition is a social activity, I get to see and talk to my archery friends.
GREAT FINALS! I also just binge watched Men's finals from '17 through '20. Fantastic competition. However, to be truly world class, the interviewing of archers while they compete and directing the audience on when to applaud, give standing ovations, etc has to end! You can do splash screens of each archer's equipment and history. Let these amazing men and women focus, PLEASE!! (The offscreen commentators are fine, but the nonsense on the deck needs to stop)
This has been exciting to watch....today(31Jul2021) purchased my first barebow bow to start this new hobby for me....I went to a local club that was offering group lessons to try the sport out and had so much fun!! Purchased my gear at Lancaster archery....such great customer service/advice thanks!!

Really enjoyed the coverage of this and the mens match. I've watched the last 3 years of barebow coverage multiple times and it's been really informative and helped me get into shooting this style. I did find this year though that rather than the archers telling everybody about the equipment they chose to shoot it was more about what they were being paid to endorse - the shout outs and interviews mid match with manufacturers was a bit tacky. I just think it's a great event as it is and with the interest in barebow rising i'd hate to see the event turn into a live product expo when it is meant to be coverage of a competition of skill. Great matches to watch though and inspiring shooting. I'm not sure about the running of a separate women's division when there is no gender advantage and the women would earn a better prize in a mixed division - but if it helps get promote the sport to women more and the female competitors are happy for this to be the case - then fair enough.
20 kids out with an obviously contagious sickness.... Let me go spread what ever it is... Other than that she's an amazing athlete and a serious competitor.
It's his tournament that he built from scratch. I doubt if the shooters mind since he's responsible for them having the chance to shoot for the bucks. He can run it the way he wants to.
As a Moderator I think the way they do their Moderation quite hilarious sometimes. Silly to be honest but that makes it so funny. But sometimes I do wanna cringe thought and reminds me a lot of E3
I appreciate the competition, but I've got to say....watching these guys on the floor, interrupting the shooters and sticking a mic in their face, with stupid questions that they really haven't thought through, is painful to watch. It's like they think they're part of the entertainment, and really.....maybe just sit down and shut up and let them shoot.
Could somebody please explain to me why one archer comes to the gold match and fresh gets it or a silver medal, while the other has to win 2 competitors to get the gold?
That is called a "shoot-up" style of competition. In most competitions, you have match-play that results in four archers earning the right for medal matches. Two archers shoot for bronze or no medal, and two archers shoot for gold and silver. In the shoot-up style, four or eight archers qualify for the finals by rank. The lowest ranked archer has to shoot his or her way up through the other archers to get to the gold medal match, while the top ranked archer only has to shoot for gold or silver. In this style of competition, any of the qualifying archers have a chance to win the gold medal. In a traditional finals format, only the top 2 archers can win the gold medal.
Hmm I don´t want to troll but really don´t quite get it. One of the few sports where women could compete with men without beeing at a clear disadvantage. Why have a special women´s class?
More strength = heavier draw weight = flatter trajectory = easier aiming. That's my guess. They had them together last year, I think separating them seems better for encouraging more women to compete. Which I think is great.
For the love of God, stooooooooppppp the in-between interviews!!!!!!!! If you absolutely MUST get their life story and gear lists, then pre-record an interview and play it separately. Just let them compete and not split their focus. I love these Lancaster videos, but only because RU-vid lets me skip 40s-1min with a quadruple-tap while the CEO is chirping nonsense with the competitors. The commentary folks and rowdy crowds are always a welcome layer to the action, but just STOP KILLING THE FLOW between ends guys!

I like some questions about the archers. Less about their equipment. But the constant inbetween to crush their flow is really annoying. Cant feel how it is for the archers competing
@@AbuHajarAlBugatti I'm sure it's less of an issue for these folks than it'd be for me. They've got millions of arrows downrange & I've maybe a couple thousand
They money they payout for a major event like this seems pathetic. What can't they pay the women the same amount the men earn? Their matches were as good as the men's.
The payouts are partly based on participation. As participation grows, so does the prize money. The women had 61 entrants this year. Men had 189. Even still, the Classic has the highest payout in the country for a women's indoor barebow competition.
For those complaining, you do realize he's the guy who not only built LAS, but started this tournament from scratch. I doubt if the shooters mind the interviews and comments since if it wasn't for him there'd be no big bucks to shoot for. Don't like it? Turn the volume off.
It's no that Mr. Kaufhold doesn't have the right to do these interviews, it's that he's just not good at it. He doesn't have much in the way of stage presence or charisma and puts the burden of the conversation on the archer who needs to be concentrating on the match and not answering questions meant to fill up the air and often just goes on tangents that nobody cares about. His energy is weak and fails to transmit that to the crowed successfully, ending in attempts at cheering and excitement that look way forced.
It's quite odd seeing the interviews between sets. Super self serving for the sponsors and not super respectful. Also the tone of it felt somewhat infantalising to the women vs with the men where it's all 'manly' and jocular. Disappointing!
This was first year for separate women's category, the women score as high as the men, why not have top 3 or at least top archer from each compete for top prize, instead of women getting peanuts compared to men's? And please, the constant chatter distracting the archers is disrespectful and sophomoric.
How much do olympians get? Oh yeah a gold painted brass medal lol. I am glad they got atleast something because it is a motivation to go there and compete which helps the sport grow. Im happy that a bow sales company is running this competition. No better marketing than creating new customers in a interesting way
