Lexus brings some changes to its mid-size luxury off-roader, but they may not be the changes you were hoping for. This is still the same box that has been smoothly rolling around since 2010. Still, its age doesn't make it any less desirable. It may not be the SUV for everyone, but what it does, it does well.

Versus the competitors, and I’ve owned Mercedes and BMWs, the Lexus is the only vehicle that I would want to own after the warranty has run...

That more than most people have who "buy" luxury type vehicles. Long term financing. It's all about show and no go............the American way---stay broke my friends.

I love these cars but they're inexcusably dated. Nice job on the review though! Do you work at a dealer or do the manufacturers just send you cars?

Crazy thing is that used GX 460s after a few years go for about the same price as used 4runners.

This is one of the reason why many potential 4Runner buyers ended up going with a used GX460. The only caveat is you now have to use premium gas and worry about the timing belt every 7 years.

Actually 4Runners typically bring more than the GX460. On both the new market and the pre-owned market.

29:56, could you elaborate what does it mean by "it searches a bit"? Does the vehicle constantly wanders left and right and you have to always correct the steering? This can get tiring on road trips.

You nailed it. It would definitely get old on a long trip. Some people don't mind, but I would get tired of it. It's possible our tester was out of alignment, because it also seemed to pull to the side.

Cool Comparison I'm looking at 2017-18 models at least a Premium middle of the road or the best one I can afford as my new adventure mobile to replace my 2003 Montero. It's crazy these days honestly how car manufacturers nickel and dime you for options. In 2003 My Montero Limited was 38k STICKER! It came with leather heated seats! What kills me is that these new trucks ect are so skimpy. I mean you pay 47k for a brand new TRD off road Tacoma or 4Runner and they come with cloth seats and if you want leather it's a 4500 option and on the Tacoma it's not even POWER seats! I know some people it's not important but prices in vehicles are just insane anymore.

I’m about to buy it online a pre owned Just want to know is it ok and relaxing driving vehicle on road in the city . Because I don’t thing I will get off-road quite often .

@@kylechellino2579 The V-6 is pretty good, but the four-cylinder is bland. It drives pretty similar to most midsize crossovers. Very similar to a Ford Edge. We'll try to get one at some point, but we're more focused on the new Escalade, Tahoe/Suburban, and Corvette from GM right now.
