She’s more like Janet Jackson in voice and dance ability. She gets compared to Britney as they started at the same time but Britney can dance her voice was never like BoA
Iet me guess the toxic army they get on my nerves the make bts look bad they need to be put in their place if bts don't do it I have no respect for them
@@petrocc6685 yeah they were getting impatient as bts performance was at last...that was really very immature of those armies although I'm the one; but im a bit matured😅😁i knew they were gonna perform at last.
@@nananaa19 hallyu = Korean wave.
Congrats the Empress of K-pop on winning the Inspired Achievement Award on MAMA 2020!!!!!!!!! You deserved it and you deserve so much more!!!!!!!!!! This is the best stage for "Better"!!!!!!!!!!!
BOA is truly an inspiration for so many and the reason that K-pop exists. She's also the first Korean singer I learned about growing up with my Korean friends. She is a cultural icon and beats everybody light years ahead. She was the first debuting abroad in Asia at a young age, the first foreign singer that tops the chart for weeks in Japan, the first million album seller abroad, the first singer that can dance and sing live at the same time and still deliver the most impressive performance, the first multilingual singer from Korea and one of the firsts in the world, the first Korean singer debuting in America and rank in billboard, the first singer whose very first album was recorded in 3 languages (The Jumping BOA album)... She's the reason SM Entertainment is where it is in the industry. Because of BOA, I became curious about Korean drama, food, culture and witnessed over the years how BOA shaped KPOP and how KPOP boosts Korea's economic development and how Korean tourism, food, merchandise, and brands going global. This music bond also blessed me with a precious friendship that I treasure with my BFF after 18 years and counting. Despite my parents' disapproval, I decided to learn Korean shortly after listening to BOA's songs. Instead of buying snacks as a 6th grader, I saved up my snack money, hired a Korean language tutor and bought Korean textbooks and audio cassettes and learned it that way. I was learning Korean by singing BOA's songs and reading lyrics. I also bought physical copies of her Korean and Japanese albums that were imported from Korea and Japan. They were not available abroad so I had to ask people who were traveling to Korea and Japan to purchase them for me and I paid them back afterwards. They were really expensive back then. They were like $50 USD for her Japanese album and about $20 USD for her Korean album back then in 2004. But the production quality and the physical materials of these albums are ultra high quality. You can tell SM really put a lot of heart-felt efforts into their productions. I also bought a BOA themed diary book that was a limited edition item from 2003. At that time I felt that SM Entertainment was really ambitious and planned to go global. Going into middle school, my major hobby became watching BOA's videos and trying to learn her dance moves and sing like her. Even though I can never sing or dance like her, BOA represented hope, dreams, and passion in my childhood and teenage years and still remains my idol in my heart.. She inspired me to be better and work harder on my own pursuits. Just like how Lee Soo Man described on many occasions and videos, KPOP changed the way people think about Korea. KPOP introduced Korea and Korean culture to the world. And it started with BOA. I know there are so many out there that are inspired by her. So many young people around the world want to be in the KPOP industry because of her. BOA really built a special connection because she is the real idol. The mass produced idols these days can never compete with the influence, the revolution, and the change she's brought to KPOP industry, K-culture and Korea as a nation. BOA is truly and will forever be a legend. BOA, I hope you can read this. I love you forever and I hope I can go to your live concert and meet you in person one day. ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for being you! With love, A die hard BOA fan.
Your words are sooo touched, me too nearly has tears~Although I am Shinee World, BoA in my heart has high status. Esp these years I recalled my memory of one of my classmates said BoA sings live at her every performances; I start to really pay attention to her music and she really did sooo sooo well in choosing songs for her comebacks these few years. And I really can't hold myself I purchased her No. 9 and No. 10 album (the No. 10th album really may me feel vy shocked and stunning tht it is the album that I really couldn't not buy) which made me buying 2 SM albums(BoA-Better album +Shinee- Don't call me) at one time since I get to know about Kpop from 2011. To be honest, I even think her-Better album,as the whole album, songs are better than Shinee-DCM; and time has also proved that her vision as she thought that DCM is more suitable for a group. In addition, Billboard gave high recognition to BoA-Better Album too. And to look back, it's really quite insane for the whole thing: a super young girl who started her career in Japan even without a single SM staff accompanied her. And she did it, she broke all the records. I can really felt the super high pressure, the emotional that she needed to bare just all by herself, as "an individual" , not "a group". Same as you I also really want to attend and listen to her live concert one day. She really did and fulfilled so far beyond as an artist. I feel so blessed and moved reading this comment and your words.💖💖💖 She's definitely still my No.1 Now and forever. Warmest regards, A Kpop fan from Hong Kong.
You're Still My No.1& Only One!!
@@yudhistiramahasena1255 I think there's actually a study there somewhere that really correlated BoA's career (and her success in Japan) as the start of K-Pop as we know it. Before, it was called Gayo. Correct me if I'm wrong, of course!
Billboard staff's Critics' Picks: #1 BoA's BETTER - the Best K-Pop Album of 2020, they ended with this incredible paragraph: "No other K-pop album this year felt so refined, so real, so invigorating in its portrayal of the capacity for human emotions. And what more could you ask for in 2020 than an album that reminded you that, despite everything that happened, that in the good and the bad, you were still here, you were alive". BoA, LEGEND ONLY! Stream & buy BETTER guys 🙏
I really like the advertisement about her too especially when she says you r the one I am the only one and then it shows her younger self with her present self
It's been 21 years since debut, but BoA tries to put on the best stage every time, saying she can't see a bad stage with her own eyes. That's why she can only be a legend.
it’s true that there are many other talented artists in K-music industry but personally the title “queen of kpop” suits boa the best her contribution to growth of kpop is monumental👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Now boys and girls, this is what you called a LEGEND - 20 years standing & struggling ALONE as a soloist, yet she is STILL RELEVANT in the music industry. She totally deserves the Inspired Achievement Award tonight.
one thing i know of boa ever since she started was that she dominated music industry pre-internet era and she never do shorcuts on her choreography plus the fact that her mic is always on...she should've performed last given her impact to the industry
