I love this game! As a kid I would be terrify wandering in the forest at night searching for clues. Thinking something was going to jump out from the trees. Or worse see the dogs. Still gives me goosebumps watching it.
This is random, but I always thought when Nancy is tied up in the shed that her hands look like a middle-aged mom's hands rather than an eighteen-year-old's haha.
I'm glad these classic Nancy Drew games on Steam. The only thing I wish is that the first two games, Secrets Can Kill and Stay Tuned for Danger could be on Steam too. Those are the only two games I don't have.
There should've been more dog attacks, or maybe a time challenge that happens at random when you're in the forest to get back once you hear the howls, because you can hear them when you're walking around. Just one scripted bit wasn't enough
Once you got to the speakeasy, you should’ve gone into the house thru the double doors. I know you didn’t need to go there but it’s neat to see that connection.
I have played and beaten this game many times since 2002 (I've been playing Nancy Drew games since 2001, I believe). How am I just learning about the scene at 1:46.40 where there is a ladder up against the side of the house? I guess it's optional, depending on what dialogue you pick. I'll have to replay the game and try to get that scene. Can anyone tell me what conversation options I have to pick or is the ladder just there no matter what? I think it's kind of cool to still be learning things I didn't know as a 22-year-long fan of these games. Thanks Nancy Drew community! You are my people.
The Easter egg is for people who guessed Scarlett hand was her next game and they got a reward in this game. It's rewarding them after the fact not stating that Scarlett hand was after this
It waan't until I replayed this as an adult that I noticed how weird it is that an old man is asking a young woman, "How about you take some pictures for me?"
See, I actually thought there was no way that the bird watcher could possibly be the culprit - simply because he wouldn't have anything to gain for running her out of the house.
I feel like of all the games to this point, you kind of skipped a lot of this one, there are a lot of solutions involving external information that you didn't even bother figuring out the right way, and just did them by memory
