You don’t need to do any computer resetting for the front brakes? Only for the rear?
@projectathos
@projectathos 8 месяцев назад
Not on the Front. Only for the Rear you need to choose on the dash cluster the brake change service mode which you can see how to do in my other videos. Thanks 👍
@rmata2202
@rmata2202 8 месяцев назад
@@projectathos so you change the front brakes first and then go into the dash and go into the brake change service mode and then change the back brakes and the complete the service mode? Does that sound right?

What kind of grease did you use ? High temperature ?
@projectathos
@projectathos Год назад
Yes high temperature is the best option or lithium also is fine. Nothing silicone based though. Most importantly is that the cleaning and regreasing must be done every time you have these floating pins on your brakes or you are risking damage to your parts and improperly working brake parts because the floating caliper wouldn't be working correctly. Thanks...

I can't get the piston on the rear to reset. Am I doing something wrong. This is so simple but irritating me.

Nevermind.... dude, post another video lol with the mortal combat dealership code you have to put in to change on the dash the brakes
@projectathos

It's nothing complicated my friend! You just need to reset the calipers before the repairs and then after. The car will tell you by blinking the Yellow Brake light that you need to finish the procedure. Just watch the video... Thanks 👍 and good 🤞

where do you get the rotors? and the part number please?
@projectathos
@projectathos 5 месяцев назад
You must confirm with your Local Mercedes Dealership the correct parts for your vehicle! Then you can buy from them or online! Please I cannot help you with parts shopping as you have Google for this reason! Thanks very much!

It's generally advised not to apply anti-seize to lug nuts or bolts, as it can affect the torque value and potentially lead to over-tightening. This can be a safety concern, as over-tightened lug nuts may result in damaged threads or warped brake rotors. It's best to follow the manufacturer's recommendations for torque values and lubrication when dealing with lug nuts and bolts.

I am really sorry but I have been doing this for over 25 years and have never warped or even remotely damaged a rotor or anything else for that matter using an Antiseize lubrication! Meanwhile I will give you the other situation where you don't use the Antiseize and you just tight your rusted bolts in the rusted threads of the knuckle and guess what happens?! This same rust stopps the bolt from going all the way in using the torque wrench and guess what happens when you start driving?! Your bolts start to come off! Which is what I have seen with my own eyes! I have never seen a loose bolt using Antiseize though! Also if you don't use this Antiseize you will end up destroying the chrome caps on these Lug Bolts which is what is happening to cars that car from the Mercedes Dealership to us and I have to fight with those same to take them off so I can replace them! All because of the rust inside! I made another video in my channel on this issue also! And trying to take destroyed Lug Bolts that are also rusted on a newer S Class is the least to say The Worst Situation that can happen and it is The Worst Bitch to deal with! So again if you don't know what you are talking about don't just read some books or hear someone tell you someone tell you something but actually talk to people who do this job every day for living so you can gather all the circumstances to understand the actual situation! I am here to give only the Best Advice I have and nothing else! Which is also backed up by over 25 years of experience! Just to mention to you - I have not had a single car that I worked on come back for problems from what I did! This is because I make sure I do the best job possible on everything I touch! Anyway I hope you learn something here and if not, then have a Wonderful and enjoyable Day! Thanks and Good Luck 👍🤞
