My word is "move". I am 56 and I have been working out my whole life. It is a lifestyle for me coming from a heavy family with heart disease, diabetes, and Alzheimer's. I own a fitbit and each week I walk over 70,000-75,000 steps..average 10,000 a day which equals out to 30-35 miles a week. I am not skinny and never have been. Most scales say I am obese because of my build and some muscle but I eat very healthy and constantly workout and the pounds do not go away. I am at a weight that just stays constant. At my age I just want to be fit and healthy. We have been isolated because of the virus and I get tired of the same old walking routine around our home and cotton field. I love power walking and dancing. Your class has a little of both! So thank you for your wonderful video to watch at home during this time. It was so much appreciated and needed. I normally like one hour of aerobics, walking, or zumba/dancing but I will take your wonderful fast paced combo class. I will have to look to see if you have longer ones. I am new to your class. I just did this workout for the first time. LOVED it! So much fun I hardly realized I was "working out!" My word for 2021 is HEALTH. I'm 57, overweight, and pre-diabetic with high triglycerides. For some reason, You Tube suggested this video today, and I am so happy that it did. I hadn't thought much for my word for the year, but in 2019 I thought that "Hope" should be my word. I wasn't even that excited about the word, but now in this current crazy pandemic we are all living in? Wow - exactly what I needed to be reminded of today! "Positivity" is my word. There are so many people and circumstances that try to fill you with negativity. This year I refuse to let negativity share the same space as me.

Happy New Year! A year ago I was dealing with horrible plantar fascitis pain but I could do one of your short five minute videos - it loosened things up but didn't strain it. My word is “Better”. Nothing fancy. I just want to get better. Do better. Every day. I am 50. I had quadruple open heart surgery last year. Simply being able to to this video with you guys bring me so much joy and sense of great accomplishment. ❤️

My word for 2020 is Renewal. This applies in many aspects of my life. I will celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary this summer, and am hoping to renew some of those feelings that have faded with kids, work, etc. I also want to renew my passion for my teaching career (middle school social studies) and my spirituality. Lastly, I want to renew my body. I lost over 60/pounds in 2019, which puts almost halfway to my goal. I plan to continue pushing and working toward that goal - a whole new, healthy me.
I’ve been anxiously waiting for this workout! I discovered you last year and I would do your workouts on occasion. I started doing them again for an hour a day consistently for the past 2 weeks. They are so much fun! I went to the doctor yesterday (not my regular doctor) and he was super impressed with how low my heart rate was and he asked me if I workout a lot. I was fairly fit before but your dance walks are improving my fitness further, helping me shed some pounds and making my heart stronger, all while having tons of fun! Thank you so much! Gina! I found your workouts last week and just became a tribe member so I come very late to this 2020 party 😂! In dancing, sweating and singing with you, I have discovered that my word is “joy”. A little background about me, swim in has been the only exercise that I like. I haven't been able to do that for nearly 7 months now. I've been doing dry land swim strength training, so that once I'm able to return to the pool, I'm not starting at 0. In addition, I've been forcing myself to do 30 minute cardio workouts that I hate, I would be miserable the entire time, and the 30 minutes would seem like an eternity. Yesterday, I was looking for something different, when I came across some of your videos, and decided to give them a try. I did this one for the first time today, and I actually had fun doing it, and the 30 minutes just flew by! Thank you!💕
Hi Gina ! I just wanted to thank you for giving me a workout I can do. I am 49, struggling with the effects of menopause, and my knees hurt from my high impact craze in my younger years. Low impact is the only way to go now. I found you around Christmas and I walk every day, usually 30 to 45 minutes. I am hoping I see the results soon. You make it fun!
I know this was about New Year's but I think my word is faith. I need to have faith in God. Faith in myself that I can do this and faith that this will help me get healthier so it will be easier to get pregnant with baby #2. We tried for over a year for our first and now have been trying for 10 months for our second. I would like to say I really enjoyed this video at first I felt like I needed more direction and was getting very confused, almost gave up. Told myself to just keep moving and before you new it 30 minutes was already up. To be honest that was the fastest 30 minute video I have ever done. I think the music really helped, it was more like a dance party then a workout. I also loved that she was so upbeat and able to motivate all of us can't wait to do more in the future thanks 🤗
Been working out with you for almost 2weeks and eating healthy, lost 15lbs. I'm doing 30minutes everyday, this is the most enjoyable workout i've ever had. Thank you so much. (I gained alot of weight last year so i was 290lbs now down to 275lbs.)

There are so many walking type workouts on RU-vid but yours are clearly the best. Dancey moves are the most fun and you have the best sound system of anyone on youtube and by far the best music....keep it up! If I don't have good music I don't walk...simple as that...so thank you!!!! BTW, I did a dance routine to "Party like it's 1999" back when I was a teenager so you are bringing back some memories for me. Keep up the fun workouts!!

My word is DAILY! I'm 68 and seldom sit down. Even when I take a walk I dance to the music on my ear buds! This was my favorite so far because you had 1999 and September in the playlist--- two songs that you cannot help but move to. Would you consider doing a 70s and 80s funk playlist with Sly and the Family Stone, Commodores, Parliament, Gap Band, etc. and a playlist with Maroon 5 (Moves like Jagger, Sugar, Give Me Something to Believe in,)
All of your workouts have been so fun. They make me look forward to working out. And your positive upbeat attitude is great for starting off the day. There are so many good words. Hard to choose! I think that commitment and consistency have to be it for me because if I can commit to being consistent with what I need and want to do this year, I’m covered. Without either of those none of my other words will come to fruition as easily.
