But in used car market date purchase doesnt count.. Neither do date of billing.. Only year of manufacture counts which will be clearly mentioned on the rc book...

some times ppl who book in December will be given a price hiked car in January. that too 4% hike,now imagine the cost. Get stockyard cars if available not more than 3 months old and close the in voice billing before 31st December,you will get it more discounts and you can take delivery after jan 1st also infact 'delivery current price' will not effect coz you already finished the billing officially.
The major thing is that in year end you can get better deals compared to year start where you could end up paying more in case the company increase the price which is usual now days. Resell value should be considered however if you are getting a better deal in December then go ahead with it.

Thought I'd just ask my expert, aka you instead) Tata Altroz XZ(O) is priced at 7.75lac, with around 8.75lac on road price. If I 1. Opt for lower IDV (5.6lac) But 2. Get the "Return to Invoice" add on. Will that function fine?
