She mentioned the air suspension. I have an older Cayenne S (2009) and it's useless in Colorado without the air suspension. Raising the ride height for going off road and deep snow is really necessary. I've never understood huge wheels on an SUV but I see far too many Cayennes with 20" wheels.

I love Porsche but that's the one thing I hate about it. They start with an already hefty price and then they drive it up a LOT more with every little option they can come up with. it's also not just the price, it's the time it takes for me to figure out all of the different options I might want. If they kept things a bit more simple then I think it would help sales, regardless of price.

@@damachine3 thats just business sense, you leave out the stuff you know your customers want so they can buy it and you make even more money out of your customer. This is no accident they know what they are doing they are masters at shaking the customer down

@@MrSupertings Oh, for sure. I have my MBA in Finance and I have been in sales. I get it. I'm sure they have done the research and found the best way to maximize profits. Notice in my comment I mentioned simplifying "regardless of price", so I'm talking about the mental part of making it a bit more simple for the customer (not necessarily simple, but more simple since they go nuts), and making the customer feel like they're not gouging them...even when they would be getting roughly the same profits. I just went through this process when I bought a new Porsche last year, and I'm about to go through it again soon. It's a bit frustrating when I have to take the time to figure out all of the options I want and then I add yet another one and realize by adding one it takes off another...and I see the price getting jacked up every time I check one of the many boxes (regardless of where the price point started). Then again, they couldn't get a base price on a 911 Turbo S below $200K if they did that...and perhaps they have done the research around the magical starting price point. So I could be wrong. ;)

The S is much more entertaining than the base. Had the privilege of owing both. Currently in an S. Turbo almost pointless as a result given the considerable price difference. The S is practically identical on mpg with the base and barely any slower than the new GTS (which is considerably heavier and thirsty than the S, strangely .. as the V8 is supposed to be lighter than the 2.9 V6..). S model the sweet spot IMO. Would love to have seen Rebecca on Shooting Stars... Rebeca-ca-ca-ca.. LOL

Porsche overcharges and under-delivers. The Porsche driving experience in a Cayenne is a plus, its not the main feature, yet Porsche thinks they should just ignore the luxury features and hope that their brand will carry any vehicle they put out. I mean a REAR CAMERA is an option? No lumbar support in a high end SUV? The back seat cupholders look like something you'd find in a Toyota. The seats aren't high end either. For this price range I would just opt for a BMW SUV, because at least they're going to have the latest and greatest technology and comfort features in their car. Stick to Porsche for their Boxster/Cayman/911.

Tank The Pitbull if 100,000 gbp represents so much of your worth then you are right, porsches are aimed to people who actually have money and buying this would not represent a risk to their finances, the problem comes when the average joe who is paying a 30 year morgage decides to finance one of this things and then something goes wrong. If you have to finance, are concerned with fuel consumption and depreciation is such a big deal then this is just not for you.

Sergio Garcia I completely agree, you must make a minimum of £300,000 per annum to realistically afford this car so depreciation and running costs can be considered negligible. The problem is that people are stupid with money and shall finance a car like this over 4 years spending about £2,000 per month on the purchase hire to pay for the vehicle, effectively making them broke.

Whats your point? A 911 is also pointless if you need to transport 5 people, and luggage/dog, live in the city, live down bad roads/country or go on the motorway as 70 is the limit. I enjoy my Cayenne Turbo S though !

I wouldn’t say it’s completely pointless, it’s a good looking car (finally), has a large luxurious interior and is also quick. Don’t forget that by selling this car it allows for Porsche to make profit which is then invested into the 911 as well as special cars like the 918.
