WOW that's what i've been trying to find out!!!! Does the remote tell you if the alarm goes off? I assumed yes but all anyone ever makes videos about are the remote starts. Bunch of gadget heads, . COMPUSTAR , you say is the only one that does. THANK YOU!!

Only LCD remotes. However compustar is coming out with thier new pro 2 way standard remotes that will do 2 way alarm notifications.

The T12's features mentions 'keyless entry'... So can I use this fob in lieu of the original manufacturer's keyless fob ? Could I also use the push button engine start with just the t12 fob on my person ? It sucks to carry two huge fobs. 2020 WRX manual

Unfortunately you need both fobs for push to start. With a manual you should be able to negotiate the alarm price down some due to the same sensor used in alarm is required in a manual.

I would only recommend a computer to charge it. A fast charger could damage the battery.

What kind of alarm siren do you have connected? I have i believe the compustar one that sounds super lame.

this is the basic compustar 6 tone siren. if your siren is not very loud or powerful its likely due to install.

That first one u need the car to be push to start? It won't work with a regular car key?

My friend bought a used Toyota With the R 3 single button remote start already installed from previous owner. Can we use the Drone moble app like you mentioned? If so how?

If it's installed then yes. You would need to find the module and get the serial number. May be best to go to a compustar dealer to investigate

Anytime you want security you should get a remote with a screen. But call your local PRO dealer 💪

Yes you can. And your installer can add power locks.

If I install the Pro R3 and later decide to buy a T12 backup remote, will I still get the 3-mile range that comes with the T12 remote even though the Pro R3 only has a 2-mile range?

Yes the PRO 2 ways of this generation all use the same antenna so it is just the remotes that limit the distance. That is actually one of my favorite "hacks" is to have the client install a pro r3 then later purchase a t11 replacement remote and program it in. Saves some money.

You more than likely can upgrade with a full kit. I would head into your local PRO dealer and ask about an upgrade. Only a few of the brains cannot accept this remote. So you may or may not be in luck. Most are upgradable

The center button will only illuminate the remote. If you want an updated status of the car you tap the remote start button once. Niether of those should unlock the car. When pressing the center button maybe you are accidentally hitting the unlock button?

Can you upgrade the remote? I have basic remote one button and I'm also using the Drone App for everything. I like to upgrade to display screen is it easily programble?

You more than likely can upgrade it yes. However you will want to go in to a dealer to have them look at what remote start brain you have in there to verify what remotes you can upgrade to. If your talking you have the pro r3 2 way then you most definitely can upgrade and just need to purchase a t11 replacement remote and then you simply program it in by cycling the ignition 5x and then pressing the lock button in the new remote.

I am trying to mute the chirp that the car makes when I click a button on the remote. I've tried holding the lock and unlock button plenty of times, but it's not working. I just got the 7900A.

7900a uses the Compustar T9 remote. You should be able to go into the settings in the remote and change the chirp settings. If that doesn't work that means it needs to be set by the installer using an OP500

Usually no. But some vehicles do have that ability via data.

Got a question for you? I just had a compustar I think it was a 7900, anyway the certified installer ran a power wire through the wire bay up to the battery and tapped one of the wires to the engine bay harness any alarm I have ever installed or had done all ran in the dash does this sound right to you

@@Doing150s Pontiacs are finicky. So I could see them wanting to mitigate risk in any way. But no on them I have never gone under the hood for power. They don't take much to start.

Any lcd remote yes. The 1 button and 4 button remotes no. But you can take apart the remote and put a piece of tape over the speaker hole. It will drastically reduce the noise.

I have a question. Just had a compustar pro t13 installed. When I got in the car to leave my TPWS (Toyota) blinked many times and then remained on. Tire pressure system not reading my tires now and tried to reset it but no go. The installation company are aware but it was closing time when I notified them. Any idea?

@@prbigmoney22 for remote start you do need to interrupt the tpms ignition on that car. So if you don't ever want to use your OEM key during remote start you can have them remove that cut. I would recommend that you ask them to remove the cut and just don't use the oem key for lock and unlock during remote start.

Mine no longer works, is there a fuse somewhere in the system? I have the single button remote and will not start or work locks. Remote battery is new.

@@Doug_Hefernen ok then yea the brain in the vehicle has fuses, there is actually 3 of them attached to the wires, go under the driver side dash and look for it it may be obvious where it is or not.

@Doug_Hefernen ah if that's the sequence then maybe the brain lost remote programming. To reprogram remotes you simply cycle ignition on off 5 times leaving it on the 5th time then press the lock button on each remote. Try that once

Correct. You must buy the PRO G15. as that antenna is the one that is compatible with the T11/12 remote

I just got my T12 and ask if possible, to get my defrost as option. But don’t know how to turn it on when I remote start my car if it work on my 2015 Corolla S. the installer said it will dépende on the car computer.

you have to hard wire the defrost to activate under a certain temp, usually 42° If he thinks the car will just turn it on he is most likely wrong. Go back and ask if he wired it.

Anton J Miller ok, il do it. Anyway, I was going to see him for the Passive Arm/lock mode and the auto start timer in the menu. It said that the installer has to program it. Anyway, I’m glad that I have found the existence of Compustar. I juste bought a other car and was aiming for Viper. It’s easy to forget Viper when knowing Compustar.

Anton J Miller and I forgot to say that I saw my installer connecting the module on the computer and choose “Defrost” as the option. Now. Because it’s not under 42 degrees yet, maybe it does not turning on. But the question is: does it turn on automatically when I remote start it?

@@chauffeurmarco yes it will turn on automatically. But keep in mind it must be wired. It will not turn on without additional wiring.

Check the batteries. The beep means it has confirmed 2 way. If it isn't confirming but did the function the batteries are weak.

The 1WR3R- AM, ,, don’t waste your money . Not reliable. I looking at my vehicle, and wont start . Tried everything. Upgrading to better model . Would not recommend this model .

anything AM in the part number is the bottom of the bottom barrel for remotes. so i agree, spend more get a FMX bare min
