Fun fact: Kimi Raikkonen has 103 more podiums than Nico Hulkenberg and more wins, poles and podiums than the Williams drivers, Haas drivers, Hulkenberg, and his teammate COMBINED.
Tomorrow be like Crofty : and it's lights out and away we go and hamilton with a great start to cross the line to win the russian grand prix!!!!! Bono : get in there lewis! Lewis : awesome job this weekend guys thank you for the hard work etc. Everytime man. Everytime.
@@lamrof Ham first flying lap got deleted and by the time Seb crashes Ham was on the second flying lap attempt but again wiped out by the red flag Seb brought out. At this point theres not much time left in Q2(not enough for completing 2 whole laps) and Ham still doesn't had put down a lap time yet but Ham managed to make his third flying lap at the last second of Q2.
@@jackywng1236 What would have happened if he did not cross in time in his 2nd lap of Q2? I am guessing he would have been relegated to position 11 to 15 on the gird and no more q3 for him?
@@lamrof I guess you mean the last flying lap, if he didn't made it he would have stayed P15, while Seb P14 cuz he got a lap time before crash, and didn't make it to Q3 cuz Ham has no lap time in Q2. Look at 2:25 that he has not set any lap time yet
That just shows Lewis’s mental strength from almost getting knocked out in q2 because or red flag or bad timing he comes and gets pole by over 5 tenths at a track where Botas has been very very strong at
Man it almost seems like Lewis is trolling Valtteri by letting him be the fastest guy in free practice and just when Valtteri gets a slimmer of hope he shuts the door on his face with these awesome performances.
@eoe123321 i wouldn't say bottas is horrible because he is always a couple of tenths behind him. Lewis dominates him, yes, but it's not like Verstappen and Albin where Max is consistently ahead of Albon
@eoe123321 Wrong! Botras isn't horrible. He's actually great, he's just been out qualified by his Team mate, and usually not by that much. I believe Lewis brings more experience, consistency, extra work into going for more than Bottas does. That being said, Mercedes drivers are the ONLY ones who are always 10th to 100th of sec from each other. When you look at the others, you could think that they drive 2 different cars in the same Team.

@@shyamalgajjar6149 Either Max is the most talented driver on the grid. Or Alex is driving a different car made for Max by Maxbull. I believe in the latter judging by how Gasly performed last year.
@@tima7598 Considering Perez is in 9th and Stroll is in 6th and was running 4th last week - til a puncture ended his race, that's pretty wishful thinking.
@@mikhayanqakula7490 How can he really challenge Lewis, who is arguably the best driver ever, to be challenged by Bottas who will most likely to go down in history as someone who didn't disgrace himself but was never considered great.
@@mikhayanqakula7490 Valterri is simply just not at the same level... Lewis, whether you like him or not, he's a driver at the same level with Schumi and arguably even better than him... right now only Max and Charles have the potential to challenge Lewis if they are in the same car... as for the others, not even a chance...
@@OutlawXplosive I mean, do not get me wrong: I hold no grudge against Hamilton. While I do not think that he is the GOAT (as there is no GOAT in Formula 1, aside from maybe Fangio and Schumacher, depending on definition), it would've promised an even juicier race for tomorrow.
Sánchez Boy Leclerc is probably at the best position for the race for Ferrari pace. He will have free choice of tyres and fresher tyre than the guys in front. So I don’t know, w’ll see tomorrow!
@@DRFOP Thats what everyone said during the ShoeMaker era when he was winning all the time and no one seemed to be on his level. Maybe F1 just inst for you?
I thought so too, but we didn’t see how long Bottas stayed on throttle to actually make a difference, because finish line is right at the start of the straight and after that he probably slowed down.
Shame hamilton can fly off the track in his outlap, get his times deleted twice, and make it to the start line with 1 second to go on the session, and still outqualify verstappen, despite clever tricks like the slipstream he used from bottas. We just won't know who is the best driver on the grid because of the difference in cars.
@@disco.lemonade Yeah hamilton is making so many mistakes this season. There are drivers with fewer mistakes this whole season than hamilton made in this qualifying session alone. But as long as hes in the best car winning all the races people will say hes the best.
@@leewat9068 how does that matter if you start p10 and finish the race where you were supposed to start it??? imagine hamilton always qualifying p7-p10 and making it to p5 in the race, yes it would´ve taken a lot of overtakes but he´s not supposed to finish p5, same with Albon...you´re dumb
If last year is any indication, Bottas is actually in the best starting spot. Clean side of the grid and get the slipstream. Having said that, now watch Bottas botch the start
Lol McLaren has two podiums, Lando is 4th in the standings and Sainz has delivered in every race he wasn't unlucky, they are clearly the best of the rest
Usual suspects? Lol, mercedes drivers are garbage, 44 messed up Q2 only THREE TIMES and barely got through thanks to best F1 car. Then in Q3, another garbage lap that was P1 only thanks to car, Max was 0.5 seconds behind in 1.4 seconds slower car, speaks volumes who is better here, and Ric/Perez also shown they would be far faster in equal cars...
Yeah mercedes let him have his fun on FP, then they hit the magic button to tune down his car and let Ham shine. A white guy cant outperform his black teammate, that would be racist.
@@DenDave_ My guess is that not all young drivers would perform like max or leclerc right away, it was a different red bull when ricciardo had the other wheel.
He doesn't even have the upgrades that the Stroll has because Stroll managed to wreck his car last race and all Sergio's updates went to Stroll. Sergio Perez is driving his heart out
by the way things look its going to be the whole season, i am for Lewis, but i am hoping Bottas wins tomorrow to make this whole thing a little bit interesting

Max is aggressive while racing and he pushes harder than anyone on grid. But he has become more gentle and humble than before. And these are signs of future champion . 🙂🏎️
@@Powerate They just try to make the Races more entertaining this way because its boring as heck and it kinda works to be fair, but it still destroys the flow a bit.
The car was perfectly build for Max. They didn't build a car that fits Alex. For Alex its just take it or leave it. Poor guy, he has the hardest teammate who let's everyone look like a rookie. Gasly is the perfect example.
He made a mistake here, but he’s usually pretty decent in qualifying, however he takes no risks in the race. I haven’t even seen him try to overtake Lewis while vice versa it happens when he has the opportunity, so Bottas is told to not overtake Lewis - apart from the start at Mugello - or he’s just far too conservative.
He would had won most likly anyway this Mercedes is on another Level but would had been interesting watching him overtake the hole Field in 20 Laps or less.
It is nice to see a mix up in the rest of the field a bit. I completely respect Hamilton for his skills (especially after his finish on 3 tires) but it is getting really boring.
Oh Vettel Sbinalla is back. That was so close with Charles though. Who else was hoping Ham would get held up so we could have an interesting race at the front.
joe r gonzales After the red flag there were 5 or 6 cars lined up in the pit lane waiting for the green and racing point pulled him back into the garage. Might’ve been an over heating issue for idling for too long.
Monaco still has one of the highest sales taxes in the world, go figure 😒. And don't be acting like you love paying taxes like kids love ice cream. Just get rich already
Yeah, this is such a bizarre take. The second runs were much faster than the first in Q2, and Lance drew the short straw on getting out to set a 2nd time after the red flag.
As a fan, yes Perez over Stroll for days :> As a reasonable analysis, we need to recognize that the older package has less potential, but also less risk as driver has been accustomed to that handling all season. Major updates frequently prevent drivers from driving 100% effectively for quite a few races (RBR developing high rake car, Ferrari's frequent updates to remove drag after their engine own-goal etc.)
@@kundakaps I think he pretends to care but wants the P3 spot cuz it's an ideal starting position, as he showed in 2017 and also Vettel showed it in 2019
Different car. Put Gasly in that car and its same as last year. Also if the cars are close why would Gasly want to go to RB and look bad, then he's out of a seat.
