This is the best presentation I've seen for Mahjong. I find it hard to stay engaged when a game is shown through multiple changing cameras with commentators often talking about something that is not on screen or completely unrelated. Being able to see all hands and discards at all times makes this way easier to watch, thank you.

Te doy toda la razón, esa fichas deberían tener un chip de identificación cada uno para que el publico presencial o por internet pueda ver las jugadas en un tablero en pantalla grande computarizado para ver cómo están jugando.

Cool video! given the lack of American mahjong content on youtube I would love to see more tournaments or matches streamed or recorded. (Also for future viewers the cameras become fully synced at 10:18. 👍

Thank you! It was a little frustrating not to see the moves well.

Poorly synced video is making it hard to figure out what's going on at times. East round 2 looked like Charles had it and won but didn't see anyone discard his needed waits and it didn't show what happened in the middle screen that's lagging behind but just cut to black. I realize this is a two year old video but hopefully it's something fixed in later ones.

Only at Seattle? This game needs and deserves an actual National League.

Nice! Would be even better if we saw the point calculation after finishing the round

Man that South 3 hand from Charles broke my heart... It was the perfect comeback hand, but alas, 'twas not meant to be :(

I only know how to play solo mah-jong this is not the one I learned how to play such a shame I thought I knew how to play

The first solo game released, where you match pairs of tiles, was called Shanghai, to differentiate it from the traditional 4-player game. Too bad that name didn't stick.

All whites and only 1 female? For a city that prides itself on the absolute diversity of its citizenry, this final isn't very diverse at all, is it?
@eduardoxenofonte4004
@eduardoxenofonte4004 2 года назад
why are you complaining about 1 female? if you flip a coin four times you're more likely to get a 3/1 split than a 2/2 split, and it's not their fault that THEY are in the finals
@TheGodsrighthandman
@TheGodsrighthandman 2 года назад
@@eduardoxenofonte4004 Well, the human demographic is almost a 50/50 split M/F. So I was just pondering how such a 'progressive' place like that managed to fail in such representation . . . Kinda makes a lie out of all their progressive policies, dunnit?
@eduardoxenofonte4004
@eduardoxenofonte4004 2 года назад
@@TheGodsrighthandman no, it doesn't, a 3/1 gender split is natural, and the most likely outcome. and these are the FINALS, no one chose WHO would be in the finals, they classified to the finals by playing well. it's not anyone's fault if everyone's white or the gender spilt is 3/1. even if the split was 4/0, that has a 1 in 8 chance of occuring if you pick random people, but then again, these are NOT random people, they're only there because they play well and classified

Does Sato Tomotsumi sound like a white name to you???
@TheGodsrighthandman
@TheGodsrighthandman 2 года назад
@@maximlloyd3143 In this day-and-age when, in America, in Seattle, you can call yourself whatever the f**k you like, I wouldn't place ANY trust in a given name. None whatsoever. Also, as far as the lunatic wokists in Further Ed' circles are concerned, is it not the case that Asians are considered to be more white than whites . . . ? Didn't Harvard just win a court case about that?
