Thanks a lot. I am glad you like them. I only had a glimpse of this stunning sailing area sailing the boat show 40 DS back from Seattle to Vancouver this February - I absolutely loved this area! Looking very much forward to the commissioning of ne 35 DS in Montreal. Hope to see you once...and please keep buying those tickets ;-)

Where are the Windows? That is what made the midship berth. Are they optional?

Yes, they are. First 35 ever (except of a swing keel version with workshop and shower in this very position) built without on request of the customers...

Did you get on a Sirius 40DS 2+2 configuration by any chance?

Unlikely as this has been projected for a few customers but not been ordered and build yet. But we do have plenty of this versions built on the 310 and the first one in order on the 35 DS now. Also parts of this cabin design had been built on some of the swing keel versions

Certainly a wonderful boat, and one that fitted my program perfectly as a replacement for my Westerly Riviera 35 (which had replaced a former Nauticat 35). But having the budget is not enough. What more is needed? I don't know. I sent an inquiry mail to the shipyard in October 2018. They never answered. So I went for something else. I now regret it, but what can I do!

I am very sorry to hear this, as we do take the time to answer all our interested parties in person! This should not happen but mail does get lost or accidently dropped into a wrong folder...but with the fantastic line of boats you have gone for before I am quite sure you got something very nice nevertheless...

Umm, isn't there a workshop in there too? I'm curious how a spray dodger and bimini would work on this? I've never seen a walk through / review of the Sirius yachts with one.

I can understand that you are curious about a dodger or Sprayhood....but only partly….as the main idea is going in, when the weather is foul, instead of staying outside and getting wet ;-) (if you like, do have a look to ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-U7Qby0MZ6m4.html at 05:00). So protection wise it`s not much needed as there is hardly ever coming spray back into the cockpit due to the 40cm of overhang of the roof up front which acts as a spray breaker. The hull shape helps even more as the boat do not slam. The door sits back on rubber sealants about 20cm under the overhang of the sliding hatch and could be used without opening it to go in. The decks house acts as a protection for the cockpit in terms of shelter form wind, but yes, from about 250 Sirius Decks Saloon Yachts about 5 have specified a sprayhood. A different thing is of cause a Bimini:

We have options for Biminis and sun covers for partly or full sun protection. You can either opt for a freestanding, or an in an cockpit arch at the back integrated Bimini for the aft part of the cockpit above and around the helms man position. This could be extended in harbours or anchorages to cover the front part of the cockpit as well, when not sailing. For those seeking full sun protection everywhere in the cockpit, even while sailing, we do offer a targa style cockpit arch above the deck saloon. This has also the mainsheet attached on top which than could be operated by a remote controlled rewind winch. With this setup you could shade the full cockpit while sailing either in connection to a free standing or integrated Bimini. It’s a very nice feature for very sunny areas and living on board all year round...but works against rain as well ;-) ....and could easily closed in front with a kind of a transparent Sprayhood
