What dsg type it has? The wet or dry one?

@@danepher interested in 1.5 tsi and 1.6 tdi. Both with dsg7 but cant find wich ones. Dry ones are not very good as I heard.

@@vladimirtodorovic6348 The 1.5 and DSG were horrible combination. Never any power. The seats had no support, it was in for warranty repairs many times. My wife changed it a year ago to a Cupra Born and loves it, so do I.

Bullshit, Skoda sell like hot cakes over here in Germany. It's like every third or fourth new car that you see on German roads seems to be a Skoda, so they must be doing something right, don't you think?

Has it ever occured to "we from India" that Skoda tailor their cars to the specific market requirements? In Europe, particularly in Germany, it's impossible to sell cars of inferior quality because nobody would ever buy them. On the other hand, European Skoda cars are significantly more expensive than in India, so buyers get more value for their money in return. That's why Skoda is so successful in Europe.

@@dragospahontu I had a Toyota Avensis, for 14 years. Good build quality, mediocre petrol engine (1.8 VVT-i w/ 95 kW), but good fuel efficiency, mediocre manual gear box, mediocre road handling, substandard brakes, overall quite functional, but boring design. So you really don't have to teach me about Toyota. I have a Skoda Kamiq now. In comparison, the engine (1.0 CGI w/66 kW) is more responsive, much cheaper to run due to CNG fuel, the manual gearbox and brakes are excellent, the road handling doesn't leave much to be desired, the build quality is definitely better, and the design sets Skoda worlds apart from the boring, almost faceless and anonymous Toyota style. When you see a new Toyota model, you never know what make it is, it could as well be an Opel, a Peugeot or any other brand. From all the VAG brands, Seat and Skoda have managed to develop a design and styling of their own, a design that makes their cars stand out in the mass, in a very positive way.

@@dragospahontu I've seen the current Toyota C-HR in direct comparison to its closest competitor in the Skoda range, the Skoda Kamiq, and have to say that the Toyota is a sad joke, particularly for the rear-seat passengers. They must feel like being buried alive in that car, plus the seat position is very uncomfortable. The material quality is OK, but definitely not better than in the Skoda. The C-HR trunk (or "boot" for Americans) is a better glove box, not even 380 litres for a car that is almost 15 cm (6") longer than the Skoda, which has 400 litres in the regular and a bit under 300 litres in the CNG version (owing to the three gas tanks underneath the car). There's also a lot more leg and head room for the rear-seat passengers in the Skoda. The C-HR doesn't even come close to Skoda's slightly bigger model, the Karoq, in any aspect, although it's even more expensive. In Europe, Toyota don't have a snowball's chance in hell against VAG or PSA, who simply offer better value for money. In markets without a competitive domestic car industry, things might look different for Japan's no.1, but in Europe, they're merely an exotic outsider. I understand, however, that you think that Toyota make great cars when you live in the US and only have domestic products like Chevrolet, Dodge and such crap. (And yes, I've had my experience with Chevy, so I know that my judgement might be a bit harsh, but nonetheless true.)

@@dragospahontu American cars are crap. The days of the big V8 engines are definitely over and gone, the gas guzzlers are no more than the 20th century equivalents of the dinosaurs. Russians (and Americans, too), if they can afford it, buy Audis, Beamers or Mercs, not those crappy American cars. Think about it and you'll notice that I'm right. I'm sure the only thing that really sucks when you're the President of the US is that you have to drive around in one of those crappy Cadillacs or Lincolns instead of a decent Merc or Rolls-Royce (= BMW). BTW: I never said that Toyotas are bad. I just said that those models that they offer in Europe aren't any better than VAG or PSA cars.
