I mean, it's a stock gearbox with stock synchros. Cleetus Mcfarland still misses the odd shift with his fully built, dog engagement trans in Leroy. Manuals are HARD to drive at high RPM
The biggest thing I take for granted about Adam is that each video he shows many cars getting many different parts. Lots of other you tubers would stretch that out and have a single video for each and every part
FattyAl11 papadakis made a video of when fred aasbo’s engine blew , he said he found material of the spark plug in the cylinder , he said it was cause when he would gap them he would tap it with a socket

I’m pretty sure cleetus mentioned once that letting Leroy bounce on the limiter for a quick second unloaded the trans and helped with making the shifting easier and faster
Those parkas are amazing, I bought one the day they came out and I still wear it to this day. Personally I like to unzip the liner and wear that around during spring/fall. I've gotten a lot of complements from that parka!

For anyone wondering about the parka, it is 110% worth it, I was really hesitant at first because of the price but I’m so glad I bought one, it’s been holding up really strong for the past 2 years. If you’re thinking about getting one just do it!

im pretty sure the vents lead to nowhere even if you remove them, you basically have to design and cut the holes you need for whatever you are trying to do. I think the fake vents are more for after market body companies to put vents where the fake ones are. You can do it yourself but if you do you might as well start selling it too.

Swap the stock wheels and axles back onto the supra and take it into the dealer for warranty service. Have showman bring it in and say "its my bosses car "adam whatever your last name"
With spark plugs the best way to do it without torquing is to tighten until snug. Back out and reseat the plug until snug a 2nd time. Then turn 1/4 turn past where it snugs up in turn crushing the crush washer. 😉 trackside/trail side repair tip.

The merch is well worth the money. Everything is soft and comfortable, plus the designs are great. One thing I do wish would come back is the tan / sand colored sweatshirt though 🙁.
@@user-uo1rn2nb8f iv never seen an 8 sec 2jz daily nor even heard of one being one but regardless that would be the most terrible daily ever, old, no interior which is even worse then original supra interior and coughing and spluttering on cam everywhere you go with a horrible clutch for the cherry on top.. great for track or down a strip for 8 seconds but for road on a daily TERRIBLE! Unless your really really gay for a supra..
@@brucewayne2397 there is a twitch streamer named murda that daily drives a Lexus is300 with a 2jz in it. His personal best is 8.51 but I never said that a 2jz is ideal.. I said that a car in the 9s isnt crazy anymore for a daily. As you probably know most fast cars build for drag racing have automatic trans so I dont know why a horrible clutch was even mentioned..
@@user-uo1rn2nb8f down here we use manuals or a sequential on a supra or any set up for that matter on old cars, americans have always preferred to use automatics, from what iv seen in my time theres many that can't even use the stick where as here we take our tests with a stick. No stick no license but once u pass with a stick ur free to use an auto.
@@brucewayne2397 I agree manual trans are a lot more fun and sequential are really cool but they are quite expensive.. for a couple grand you can have a built turbo 400 that is good for 1000 hp. Then you just need something like a grannas 8.8 rear end, boost by speed, traction control, build the 2jz and a 76/75 turbo then you're in the mid 8s

It’s not the trans in your Z it’s the driver mod, but definitely change the driveline mounts and subframe mounts which should make the car feel much more solid down the strip.
I noticed that gear change but never commented on it because I new there was something going on that you had to feel out. Another sick eg is when Cletus drove the BMW. SMASHED those gears!! Man, ppl, stop judging so quickly. Ask the question, don’t go n blow sht up.
Just as some advice, there are some plugs that are better than the NGK BKR7EIX, in my old car I used BKR7EIX and the resistance of the plug was 5ohms, so my car kept misfiring, only option I had was to install Audi R8 coils for a stronger spark.. Did some research and found that NGK PFR7S8EG are the same exact plugs but with a resistance of 1ohm, so you'll get a stronger spark. Not sure if it would help these cars tbh but it helped mine alot!

The issue you are seeing with shifting is a few things. Flex in the motor mounts. At that power level, poly mounts are the absolute minimum, in reality, the car should have solid metal mounts. flex in the trans mounts. See above. Flex in the TRANSMISSION. at that power level the entire driveline is starting to flex a bit. Synchro transmission. Synchros are made to have the trans shift nice and quiet at 300hp. at 266% the power, a dogbox conversion is a necessity on a drag car. Don't give the 150 whp crowd the satisfaction of even bringin it up bruh.

dude look on the packet how to tighten plugs, from finger tight NGK is usually 2/3 turn to crush then no more than 1/4 to tighten depending on thread pitch.
It’s most likely the drive shaft splines not the rear diff. disconnect the draft shaft after the rear guibo. it splines into diff. Remove the nut it’s reverse thread and inspect the splines on the drive shaft. I seen this happen at the dealer on a customers 750i alpina . -bmw tech.
