I hate your video because now I want to life my put a leveling kit on my red 2019 Trailboss. You’re really gonna make my pockets hurt man... Love how your truck came out!!
The trail boss will be my next truck. I have 3 months left on my current lease, a 2017 Chevy silverado 4x4. I absolutely love your truck. I know what color I'm getting now. Everything you did to your truck is perfect!!! Great ride height!!! Congrats on a Beautiful truck!!
I do almost the exact same if I got an LT TB. I dislike the rake too. Only thing I'd do different is 'blackout' the badges. Not too flashy with a ridiculous lift but you can tell it's not stock either. Very clean looking truck.
Good looking truck! I have the 20 Z71 RST in iridescent pearl white and I absolutely love it. I really like the blacked out grill on the trail boss, thinkin about blacking out mine
what a beauty! love your truck, waiting for south Florida to get some inventory. is this an LT Trail Boss Z71 ?! how much was the truck if you don't mind?
Love the Bawssss and currently in the market for one! FYI... I suffered from allergies to pollen for years until I eliminated refined sugar from my diet. If that is too great a challenge then just stop eating anything with it about two weeks before pollen season starts! You will be shocked! Lemme know if you experience success at it!
where did you exactly purchase your lift kit from, im new to this and i just bought a 2019 high country and i want it to sit exactly like yours. i want it to have a tall aggressive stance but i dont want it jacked up sky high in the air. 4inch lift on 35 inch tires are good enough for me. im actually going to go with the 11.5 width instead of the 12.5 wide tires
11.5 are great for the 4” lift. Watch the rest of my videos so you can compare the leveled, 4”, and 9”. You can buy the kit directly from the company or a retailer. I just went to the shop I use and they order it straight from the company. Perhaps find a shop and ask them for a total price (pets and labor)
@Ezio Bad Ass Truck would like to know if you can do a install video on the fender plugs on your truck if possible thankyou in advance keep up with the awesome videos Bro your truck looks better lifted now .
Dee Car I’ve already installed the plugs but it’s super easy. When you buy the plugs, you’ll see. It’s self explanatory. Not bad at all. Stay tuned for the 9” lift that’s coming in 2 weeks.
I have an LT non trailboss truck, I lifted it 2 inches in the back and 2.5 in the front, so it's the equivalent to a leveled trailboss. $1700 for wheels AND tires? I've only been able to find 33 inch tires for the stock wheels at $1500. Where did you get them? Also did you have to trim anything to fit the 33x12.5s?
Hey bud question do you know if any of these modifications will void and warranty on truck, I went to dealership and asked them and they told me that any 3rd party modifications void warranty on truck, just wanted to get your side ?
Travis Coleman thank you very much. Yeah, I think the truck looks great now. I hate the rake and small OEM wheels/tires. Filter is a K&N drop in filter.
I went to a local shop and got the leveling kit and install. The wheels and tires came from Customoffsetwheells. You need to buy hub rings so the wheels sit on the hubs avoiding vibration tho.
Hi,,i bought a 2020 lt trailboss also this month,,what kind of leveling kit did you buy for it?? I do notice the truck sits higher on the back side,,was wondering how much the leveling kit cost you amd if by leveling kit you meant changing the shackles???
Back then I only did a Rough Country leveling kit. It’s like 1.5” and to be completely leveled, it needs 2” but then you would throw your angles off your suspension. Check out my recent videos on lifts. May want to just lift it.
Hey buddy, great video. Can you provide the information for that sub box and sub-woofer? I would greatly appreciate it. Also, because you already had a 2 inch lift from the factory, the leveling kit you added brought your truck up essentially to a 3 inch lift compared to a Silverado that's not a Trail Boss. Is that correct? Hopefully that wasn't too confusing.
Hey! You’re correct regarding the leveling kit. The truck is currently at 9” lift. LOL. But I think I got more compliments when the truck was leveled. I cannot remember the box details. The sound shop built it so it fits under the seat. The 10” kicker sub was very effective and not expensive.
@@joshpierce6561 almost. The leveling kit is 1.75”. So essentially 3.75” up front and 2” in the back. Thing is, the truck comes with a rake from factory. So this is why it’s called a leveling kit. But if you measure just the front of a regular Silverado and this one, there will be 3.75” difference.
Also how is it holding up? Ive heard people say that when you level a TB it puts the ball joints in a bad angle. I see ready lift has a level kit but they include a new revised upper control arm to account for this but its like 600 instead of 125 like the rough country. Any input or advice would be great thanks.
Thank you. It may void any front end suspension warranty, but you can always remove it prior to taking it to the dealer. Suspensions hardly ever fail tho.
I have this same truck, not leveled. Even the same color and all. Tow mirrors though. I can't believe the difference a level made. I traded in a 6" lift with 35's and got the trail boss because it felt "not stock". I may just do this to mine. What do you think about leaving the custom rims and tires on it? I love those Goodyear tires they put on the boss.
Jacob Meyers I like the tires. I just think they’re way too small for the truck. Too thin. 33’s I think look perfect with a leveling kit. Sell the stocks rims/tires. I got $1400 and bought my new set for $1700 so it was worth the trade. Just add hub rings to the new wheels. You won’t regret it. Take off the ugly mud flaps and add the color match caps to cover the holes. You won’t regret it. I get compliments all the time on the truck. And do 20x10’s. Don’t bother with 20x9’s. Even go 20x12’s but I think 20x10’s are perfect in every way.
I can’t find any level kit or lifts that fits my trailboss on all the lift kits on rough country it says doesn’t fit in trailboss models. I have a 2020 trailboss 2wd
WOW!! I really like it!! So leveling kit on top of 2inch factory right ? So you have like a 4 inch lift kit, I oce the rim & tire package! 💯🔥🔥 your truck color is satin steel metallic right? It looks darker for some reason👍🏼. Thru what website on shop did you get leveling kit wheels & tires?
oakraidnews365 ONE NATION the color I think it’s shadow grey. So yes, 1.5” added up front which is a total of 3.5” with the Trailboss OEM 2” lift. Rear is completely stock. Tires and wheels I got from custom wheel offset.com. Make sure to buy hub rings so the wheels sit on the hubs. Very cheap. And for these wheels you don’t need spacers. Some wheels you do to clear the brake caliper. The lift I went to a local shop and bought it thru them. They installed it and parts and labor was like $350. Tires are 33” but in reality they are maybe .25-.5” taller than OEM. Atturo come a bit smaller. I like this set up 100% I think it’s the right combination of lift, wheel/tire size for a daily driven truck and to make it look good. 👍🏼
I have a 2020 Silverado LT satin steel metallic and I was looking to get a 3.5 inch lift from rough country but Is pricey I think it goes for like $700 plus installation, so your tires are trailblade Arturo MT?
NIce Video and nice truck!! Clear and simple!! I would have 2 questions for if you don't mind: -the rough country leveling kits added is the kind of "C" shim OR the "O" shim on top of the shock? -What is your wheels offset? thanks!!
@@eziocomparini7068 Alright thanks for the quick reply. I will shoot you 2 more, if you don't mind, lol: Do you know if the wheels are matte or glossed? I read you put before an Flowmaster 40 series on it, do you have any video with the sound of this exhaust on your truck, i could watch? i believe you are running the 6.2L? thanks again!!!
I’m running the 5.3L. Flow master was a waste, hardly any sound difference. Go straight pipe, that’s what I had last. Sounds amazing, a good growl without being overwhelming, and no drone. The cats are big enough in these trucks to absorb the loudness. Straight like 100%. The wheel offset in these were -18 and they were gloss black. Since this video, I did a 9” lift and went 22x12 (same wheels) truck was amazing. Check out my newer videos. I since sold the truck and got a Gladiator Rubicon as I’m getting in to off roading a bit more. Any help I can be, please let me know. The straight pipe, airaid intake hose and drop in filter, gives you good mpg’s and noticeable power. I have an extra brand new air filter in the box, if you want it, I can mail it to you. Free.
Great looking truck buddy. I notice that you removed the license plate holder on the front bumper. I don't see any holes or any marks. What exactly did you do? I removed my license plate holder from the front of my Silverado, but it left holes and some discoloration. Please help!!!
Oh no. Mine didn’t have a front license plate. But search for front license plate delete they sell stuff you put on the holes like a cap or even a small badge?
jonnyt16 the Trailboss comes with 2” lift from factory. All I did was added 1.5” up front to level it out. Even with OEM wheels looked good. I don’t like the trucks leaning forward.
Hey buddy. Thanks for the info. I am a little worried now. I have some Atturo mt 33’s coming but after seeing your video about the 35’s, I’m a little scared. Did you like the setup with the 33’s?
@@brianglennie888 I think the problem is the bigger sidewalls. Lower profile they are very good. The M/T’s grab a lot of rocks tho and that’s not good for the paint if your wheels stick out. That’s one thing I don’t miss about them. Ridge grapplers don’t grab many rocks as they are more of a hybrid tire. The M/T’s look great tho.
@@eziocomparini7068 ok. I hope they don’t grab too many. Mainly. Road truck so..... I’m just a little hesitant. I see you didn’t stick with the setup long. You went big.
I've considered leveling my TB but since I actually use it to tow I don't want it sagging. Gonna just lift it another 2" and put 35x12.5x18 on the stock rims once I burn through the stockers. Should be quick, I've put 24k miles on her in 6 months. Nice truck overall though!
@@eziocomparini7068 thanks for the reply. I’ll watch them now. Besides the truck looking squaty, could you have done it with just the leveling kit or would it have rubbed bad?
Tom Wiltrout nice!!!! Yes, it even looked better with stock wheels/tires after the level. But the stock wheels/tires are too small for the truck in my opinion. Awesome you got the TB. It’s been a great truck. I also added K&N drop in filter and flow master muffler. This helped with mpg and throttle response.
Ezio Comparini to be honest, I can’t compare a before and after. I got the 35’s on day 1. However, I did get a little over 18mpg’s driving 100 miles of Interstate. The tires still stay within the wheel well for reference. And all I did was level it. The tires gave it a lift, too. Not too big and not stock. Perfect height for me.
@@eziocomparini7068 have you had any issues with the angles or ball joints? One of the complaints I’ve seen in some places is that some kits don’t raise the front correctly and it puts excess wear and tear on the ball joints with it already having a 2 inch lift to begin with
@@eziocomparini7068 did you need spacers for your wheels to fit? I've been seeing that some wheels are getting fitment issues because of the brake calipers on the 2019+ models
Got it , let me ask you this what's your opinion on the chevy spray tech Bed liner and also the performance package upgrade and running boards are these all things you would prefer after market as well?
ughhh those poor balljoints. those should wear out soon. With the trail boss you have to change the control arms or else you will be sorry. Check Ready lift for the leveling kit to save yourself. Ready lift is the only company i know so far that makes the leveling kit for the AT4 and Trail boss for that reason. also its really unsafe. but the truck does look sweet. i ordered mine in the same color with the 6.2. also ordered 20x12 -44, 33x12.5R20s can't wait!!!
@@jeremyw9213 it worked perfect. Gave it enough height without compromising angles that would stress other components. But shortly after I did this kit, I went all our doing a 9” lift. Truck ran perfect and looked great with just the leveling kit.
Sorry Bro, I don't wanna waste your time. I searched through the comments and found the answer to 1 of my questions. So the only thing I'd really like to know is 1) What sub box do you have? 2) Which Rockford Fosgate sub woofer do you have? and 3) Where did you get them from? Thanks again.
Bitchen looking truck, I bought the 2019 All-Star Edition Double Cab/Standard Bed, back in September of last year. I did a few inexpensive mods also. I might purchase the Stillin TruPower Cold Air intake Scoop that will replace the lattice style one that is used now. And most likely do an install video...
Paul Henderson nice! I’ve been wondering about that intake mod from Stillen. I don’t know if there’s any gains in city driving but for sure you’ll feel it in the highway. Let me know your thoughts.
@@eziocomparini7068 .. I sure will. Stillin said that GM did a similar type for the 2500 diesel engine. I did drop in the K&N Engine Filter and also replaced the In-Cabin filter with a K&N.
henry thompson has the same wheels in two sizes. 1st when leveled I had them in 20x10 -18. Now I have them in 22x12 but on a 9” lift. Check out my newer video.
@@eziocomparini7068looks awesome man! If you don’t mind me asking in your opinion what were the advantages of having 33’s over the 35’s you have on it now?
@@leggomyeggo5806 I like the 33” look with just the leveling kit. In my chanel, you can see I went to a 9” lift and the 35’s almost looked too small. 33” are lighter than 35’s so a little hit on mpg and power, nothing crazy. Basically go with how they look in relation to the lift you’re installing.
@@brianglennie888 the hub rings just keeps the wheels centered with the hub. A flush mount fit. Without them, you’ll bounce around like crazy. Feels like tires out of balance.
Hey, the ride quality is perfect! I only have the leveling kit. The key is to add wheel hub rings so your wheels sit properly on the hubs. 20x10 and 33x12.5 are a great combo for this truck without going too crazy. Mpg stayed the same after I put a drop in K&N filter and a Flowmaster muffler. I highly suggest this set up. Truck is smooth at any speed. Especially at 80mph. No regrets!
