One of the many courses I've worked with gave me drums of the plugs to help the bare spots on my lawn. Works amazing, some decent roots and nutrients to stimulate new growth.
To someone who doesn't understand the process: 0:22 OMG. They're completely destroying the green. 3:19 Maybe not. 3:52 Yup. They destroyed the green. 5:33 Hold on. Maybe not. 6:04 Trust the process I guess.
Everyone has a different aerfication style. I like to top dress before coring, we use 648 toros with drag boxes that pile the plugs at the edge of the green plus it drags the sand in a little. We don’t blow anything in the rough so we don’t get bent grass rough. Probably not smart to drag your fertilizer around, put it down last and water in.
Had a fun time working at a golf course.Mornings would have to get off the mower to push deer of the greens no joke, and getting chased by a one arm golfer trying to hit us mowing.Seen a golf ball bounce off a guys head so we would run over there balls and say here it is.😂😂😂
This job is cool…….if your the boss. If you mow and weedeat and have to push cores and broom greens then it’s slave labor. Did it one season, never again.
Thank you. Yes we fertilize just before the topdressing. Some courses fertilize after. I have done both and not seen a difference in the results. We water for 10 minutes after we drag the sand in the holes. We will water again a few hours later to keep the greens cool. The sand will get very hot if the temperatures are above 100 degrees so we monitor that and water accordingly.
Nice looking course! What kind of grass are you growing on your greens? May I ask why you don't use a cocoa mat? It seems far less potentially damaging to leaf tissue than a metal drag.
the amount of work, co2, and waste that goes into keeping grass pretty for rich people to hit a little ball into a little hole while driving around silly little cars is both staggering and depressing.
Only took one day to net one of these liberal snowflakes that like to whine about nothing. Ignorant dope can't even afford a simple game of golf. Probably lives with his mom.
Makes me wonder how much good those rental units are really doing for home lawns...you could run one of those all day in your lawn and not achieve this type of result.
