The MT 09 is one of the best looking naked bikes and with that sound. Man it's so good.

Awesome review. Just installed mine today using your video. Took about 45 to an hour. It's a very simple job. For people who were wondering, I needed a 12mm 14mm and a 19mm for the bolts on the bike. You will need a size 4 Allen wrench for the Allen bolt on the spacer. And a 13 mm for the bolt that akrapovic provides for the rear exhaust hanger. Keep in mind there are exhaust gaskets when you remove the headers. They fall out easy and are easy to miss. I reused the old ones but it wouldn't be a terrible idea to order new oem ones. Thanks for the guide!

Get a J hook for the springs it makes life a whole lot easier. You can make one out of stiff wire or welding rod. Retired Motorcycle Mechanic and you don't risk scratching the exhaust with pliers.

Nice job but a little tip CycleCruza - Before re-fitting the O2 sensor twist it like 4 or 5 turns anticlockwise before fitting it back into the insert - takes the stress out of the wiring.

I don't think that power vision is going to fix the drive by wire throttle Delay, ignition timing limitations by gear or top speed limiter. It sounds like it just updates the OEM fuel map and can't unlock anything else.

I literally just got the akra carbon. Haven't even taken the baffle out and I love it 😊.

Sounds good CC. Personally, I wouldn't remove the baffle. Between the tune and scavenging you'll have more torque and a smoother ride.

Triples sound like F1 Motors. Very distinct sound. Triples are more for intermediate and expert riders. MT means mounds of torque. The torque, and fast revving engine can make beginners have a bad day.

Hi CC digging the content for the MT09 Keep it coming. I just purchased the MT09 2020 in July. It’s a Sweet bike so much torque. Got the all black stealth. Akrapovic carbon exhaust check can’t wait to see the flash. Take it or leave it get a stone guard for the radiator. Chanel is dope af.

I just wanted to point out that you should be careful when using torque wrenches with long extensions. Long extensions really messes up the final torque values. I usually add 5-10% to the torque setting when I have to use a long extension. Sick sound though 👍

Is it a requirement to flash the ECU to install these exhausts? Can I just replace the exhaust without changing the bike's computer?
