Kate, I just found you last week and I have say that I really have loved your videos. I've been binge watching and don't know when I will get caught up but it will be alright. I have learned a lot from you. I'm starting back trying to learn how to hand quilt. I love making things which I quilt, crochet and sewing other projects. I've also done wood working and enjoyed that also. I appreciate all you do. Vivian from Southeast Alabama in the USA.
I’m the same-have been binging for a couple of months now…just love Kate, her family, her wonderful home & all that she endeavors to make & teach to us in her very special comforting manner❣️ From Georgia in the USA🥰
I love watching that hot wax turn from amber to butter yellow and back again before your eyes. I always think the people making them must have such lovely soft hands. It looks tedious and hard on the back...and yet peaceful and almost zen. Lovely.
Just absolutely wonderful. Local artisans interviewed by a local artisan. You just happen to be one of the absolutely wonderful people on this Earth. Thank you for sharing everything you know and do. .
A friend gave me a pack of colored candles and I ordered rainbow ones last year AND I had some from the Christmas box in the past...they are the BEST candles! Right now there is a green one on my morning alter. I love having this connection with you all!
Showcasing the talented local makers and artists on your videos is such a lovely idea Kate. It is quite interesting to meet them and get a little glimpse into their craft. Thank you Anna for your part in this adventure.
What a special video. Are all the English boys so lovely? Those purple candles are stunning. Thank you so much for this. It is comforting to know that these handcrafts can be profitable for people. Such a treat to be able to see this!!!!!
Oh I could watch the dipping all day......such a pleasing sight...and sound (and I can imagine it smells wonderful!).. It's so lovely to meet Ted and the makers....and I never tire of seeing other artisans workshops. What a beautiful video, I thoroughly enjoyed this, thank you.
Love the accompanying music and meeting your gifted friends ....Kate, when you mentioned Cumbria I remembered my dear friend Sheila whom I met on the internet. We both had a grandchild with a rare genetic disorder and we bonded. Sheila lived in Cumbria and she and her granddaughter actually came to visit me here in Canada...she passed away 2 years ago and I miss her...thank you for sharing your days with us...
Don't you just love the colour and smell of beeswax candles? 😍 I love the shape of these.....Enjoyed the trip to the candle makers ...fascinating especially how they dip for colours and what lovely smiling people.... So on another note I must apologize on the last video and comment I left yesterday I misspelled your little guard ducks name so edited and all fixed now ..😊❤
I am loving these vlog of how all the items for the patron Christmas items coming together. It so so interesting to see all the hard work that goes in to make the candles by Teds team. Thank you to Anna for her wonderful vloging.
Always fascinating to visit Ted's and was lovely to meet all the people there. I was beginning to think I could smell the beeswax, there's something very soothing watching the dipping.
This was a lovely episode Kate... thank you. I'm almost 43 and had a candle making business since I was in my early 20s. I've closed it a few years ago as my kids didn't really see me or properly know me due to 16hr work days. It was a good decision to close the business although sometimes I do miss it, however I still make candles occasionally for us and family. I have continued the creative path though, but this time from home. Apart from painting, I have also started a youtube channel recording my journey through knitting, spinning, weaving and gardening. It is a real pleasure watching your videos, the realness is invaluable... so thank you. I'm glad you are feeling better. All the blessings from Cyprus. Ivana ❤️
Thank you for sharing your channel and highlighting talented artist. Love the intro, I was drooling over those beautiful quilts behind you. I love these little road trips. 😀👏
Wonderful watching making the candles and it was learn and talking with the candlers in process- happy group and love the boxes- they have a system coming up with colors, too. great fun to see and meet them Thanks for the show for us, Kate! I will see if i can get some myself😂🥰
Kate, Good to see & hear you. I have enjoyed watching you and your Charming Family & Friends, "stand up for you" to entertain & share while you were under the weather. Well done! I like this field trip you planned. Beeswax candles I use, but something I just didn't think about. I enjoyed watching the process And people as well as the tour of the shop. Thank you.
I loved seeing how the candles are made and all of the work involved. I was curious to see what they did with the leftover wax colors and you asked that question. It's nice to see the people who work there. I'm glad it's not a lost art.
Wow what a treat to go with you inside the wax room..really interesting and yes Kate I'm with you on the .. I could pack those candles all day long..what a beautiful calming job.
I love watching the candles being made. The contraption they swing around on look like our Hills Hoist clothes lines that are iconic here in Australia. Thanks for taking us to Ted’s again. 🤓
I always enjoy seeing such creative people! I have always enjoyed tours. This one was wonderful. I bet it smelled lovely in there. I'm looking forward to more. Take care x x x
I still have a bit of Ted's rainbow candles left! I love them and can only imagine the heavenly scent of the beeswax in the shop. I appreciate the multi-generational staff and their hard work. Thanks for sharing, Kate!
I still think you should do a quarterly box... Spring, summer and fall, as well as Christmas ⛄! Or maybe just start with a summer box? Sending lots of love 💖 from sunny 🌞 Arizona 🌵. 😷
So nice to see talented people making such beautiful things. We buy products in a store but never give much thought to the people who make it. Thank you for sharing their art with us Kate.
Thank you that was wonderful to see Ted and his worker’s hard at it again busy time for all. Thank you Anna for all your work also . Big hug to all. 🦋🌈
Thanks for the tour! I'm relatively new to The Last Homely House so I'm not familiar with the Christmas boxes. They must be huge! I have no hope of snagging one but sure am enjoying learning what's going into them. 😊
You’ve every hope of snagging one! If you want one! Pop over to www.thelasthomelyhouse.co.uk at 7 pm GMT on 14th November! You have the same chance as everyone! Xxxxx
Hi Kate! Thank you for sharing. I was lucky enough to buy a Christmas box last year but I'm afraid as the years go on, more and MORE people are going to be after them and I may never get another box again. I'm truly grateful for the one I got! My star is hanging on my bedroom wall. ❤️
🤗 Thank you Kate and Anna for helping us see into such a fascinating shop. Such a personalized business and lovely candles. Take care both of you ladies.❤️
