Do you (or anyone else) have any experience of fitting the windscreen reinforcements when there is also a TFT anti-theft brace fitted? If so, are there any problems with having both fitted?
Hello, thanks for the detailed instructions. I just received the windscreen with support. You mentioned in the video that screen is fixed with the re enforcement kit. Do you mean with the dial that is used to move the screen up and down will not work? Or do you mean due to the size of the screen, at high speed it can’t be moved. If possible, can you please post the picture of the winged nut you were talking about around 7:20 mark.
The screen is not fixed. To move it up or down, you need to loosen the re-enforcement kit and then turn the knob. You cannot do it while riding. You have stop to do it.
Does this Windscreen black or disturb your line of sight, do you get used to it quickly (basically i am asking long term review) thanks for detailed installation video.
I had similar concerns. I feel that it is not that distracting. The pro is that it offers good protection from wind and heavy rain. But if it’s foggy and just a light rain, you will have to stop and wipe the screen, as the water droplets stay on the screen. Please check out my 1000 mile drive with this windscreen around Lake Michigan in all weather conditions.. you will get a sense
I have the same bike, same wind screen, same brackets exactly. I tried installing the left (L) bracket but the hole does not line up with the windscreen hole. Did you use the black spacers on the GPS holes for the bracket?
Great Install Video, I just purchased 2022 R1250GS(I unveiled it on my channel, feel free to check it out) and just got this exact windshield, very helpful. New Sub
Reinforcement kit is recommended for speeds over 90mph. If you plan to stay under that, you might consider not to use it. If you install the reinforcement kit moving windscreen up and down will be a little difficult.
@@riderzquest2151 Appreciate your reply. I think I will mount it without the reinforcement kit as the screen is high enough for me and no need further adjustment. I am 5'10". Again, big Thanks for your clear and concise explanation in the video. Great work and ride safe always.
Audio is bad. Content may be good, but I made it all of ten seconds, thinking that if you just opened your garage door the audio would have been a big improvement. Mic yourself if you want to make these videos good.
