The 2021 BMW 530e xDrive comes with a new set of batteries and a lot of people are hoping they will be enough for this to be the perfect all-rounder car. Is it? I find out.

BMW should return to their old round headlight designs. They're more classy and quite unique.

Good review , i have the previous model to the one tested here my electric range is around 20 miles and considering buying a new car for the added battery range wouldn’t justify the extra spend I would need to keep it 10 years to get more or less the money back, but I am more than happy with the car.

I have this car on rental at the moment and since it is a rental no one has plugged it in, the cable is still in the boot in its original package. That being said, after 500 miles I've averaged 47mpg. It's actually quite economical on the motorway. I pressed the "battery hold" button while going down hill. Sports button around town

Hi, i have a 530e. When you not use the Engine to load the Batterie via Batterie Control wether you use the Batterie Control to hold the batterie (for example 50 %) then the car need less or the same consum of petrol then a car without batterie. The more weight s not importend because you have allways the support from the batterie. Thanks for the video.

Great video, but you got the 12kWh battery in the older model as well; it’s equipped on the 530e cars produced after 08/2019. Noroc! :)

Nobody gives a shit, as this car mostly used ing Germany as a company car, so gas is paid by the company and leasing is only 05% from new car price, we wont complain.
