We traveled to Pastranaland to test the all-new 2021 Can-Am Maverick X3 X rs Turbo RR with Smart-Shox with Travis Pastrana. More Details: www.utvguide.n...
I rode in one of these for the first time last weekend. Holy hell that thing is wicked! Super impressed with its power, handling and smoothness! 100mph on a dirt road 😳!
I just got a 2-seater...MAVERICK X3 X RS TURBO RR SS...200HP...I have not been able to speed it more than 50 miles before feeling it will get out of my control...it's a BEAST!!!
I take it the a-arms need to be braced, shock tower addressed, radius rods upgraded, chassis gusseted, etc etc. But hey! new color, roof speakers and adjustable shocks. Still want one, but annoyed they cant address structural issues.
That's what I'm wondering also. Had to replace the frame on my 2020 RR because of poor design. Sucks you have to spend $1500 on a arms and complete gusset kit only to have to spend another $2000 and replace the junk steering rack.
Yes...so keep ur money till can am fixes this crap... my list of broken parts is very long. Sure I rock crawl the hell out of it but I am fixing can ams issues they know about....
These machines are great , but they really need some thicker tubing and double sheer stuff out of the box. They do not hold up to the amount of rocks they throw etc
Lol. They are selling like never before. You can hardly find new sport sxs's at dealerships across large parts of the country. I ordered a new sxs last month and I'm still waiting to get it.
All the brands can't keep them in stock !! With the virus people are spending money to do stuff where there is less people and u can distance yourself and then manufacturing can't build fast enough because of shutdown
@@kenshinhimura9387 in business I Am in business is booming construction is doing well I had to have good timing and wait for my Honda 1000-5 because they can't keep them and just like RVs nobody wants to be around people so everyone is buying other stuff to do with the fam !!
Im just wondering how many things you had to fix after this Video. I got also maverick x3 rs but older version and im totally disapointed of quality of elements. Imagine that two weeks ago i was travelling through the forest and i have done very similar jump like those in the film. Unfortunatelly one of the screws that connect wheel with that long rods Has been destroyed (after one jump). Of course i could drive max 5 kph cause my back wheel was moving ride-left. Sorry for my english btw .
I’m a can-am guy but on the First jump in the video you know damn well that rear drivers side was trashed. They even cut the video right when it let go.
If u want to see the lighting available for this Can-Am Check out this vid I think it'll help u guys out ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ogRqjJVQPnQ.html
Did they fix the weak frame, a arms, ball joints, junk steering rack that fails in 500 miles and stupid single shear shock mounts? Those all failed on my 2020 X3 X3 XRC RR.
Too much tech. Just give me a 300 horsepower side by side with manual adjustable shocks with good travel and selectable 2/4 wheel drive. Ground clearance is a must as well. Is that too much to ask for? Lol
Did CanAm finally acknowledge and fix the weak single shear shock mounts, lower a-arms, failure prone steering rack, single shear radius arm mounts and poorly designed radius arm bushings that have plagued all model X3's since 2017? Is the frame and cage still painted with cheap rattle can quality paint and what about the six million pop rivets?
Prorider nope just put in a stupid radio and some shock Technology that with shock therapy was already pretty damn good. Why actually make it stronger!!!!
Nope and still no answer to Polaris Ride Command... sad but year after year seems like they’re just pumping out the same weak shit and asking for more money! Can Ams lost my respect and my business
J L bepends on what you are looking for. Canam are better in the fast stuff and A more comfortable cockpit for long rides. The Rzr is better at jumping and a little more Low and grant for the technical stuff like rock climbing. A canam will feel more like a race car and low to the ground but still have the same amount of travel. They are a little harder to see where the front end is but you get used to it very quickly I know right where your front end is. A rzr will feel taller and more like a truck. You can easily see your front end and know exactly where it is. The nose just feels much shorter than a Can-Am. The only complaint that I have with the Can-Am is they are significantly louder in the drivers seat. I’m 6’1” and 250 pounds and feel more at home in a can-Am especially on long trips that I like to do most of all. They are both amazing and in the end will not go wrong with either. There is also the Honda that is very promising and very reliable but you will give up about 60-80 horsepower and no turbo and less you spend an extra $4000 to put one in.
The sheer size and girth of Travis’s balls is absolutely insane. The fact that he can drive around that fast and precise with loose dirt to slip on too is mind boggling. I just hit a gravity bong for the first time so I’m not quite sure if I’m correct. Have a good afternoon.
About horsepower , Will the base model 120 hp suffice for the Max 4 seat ? Im just crossing over from MX bikes and new to 4 wheel. Is the max R Turbo 172 hp better for hauling 4 people , or will the base model 120 hp do the job . Want to make sure before I purchase. Or any other advise ?
@@UTVGuide101 Jon: Paying off an Investment then time to get back into it! I like these CanAm’s but, want a few more HP as you know (I’ll need your advice for this!)
@@UTVGuide101 (This is Mark Beaty by the way!) Yea, you know how that Mountain is! But, we will see! HP is fun but, maintaining it is another item! But, If I can throw a bigger turbo (EVO?) or something for good gains, I don’t think I will be able to pass on it!
@@bryanhansen7968 travis's first few rides in the new machine, he will get it figured out and flatend out a little with some more testing. And have it flying the way he wants it to
Kinda feels like Can Ams playing catch up to Polaris anymore. They’ve had Dynamic suspension since 2018 and the 2021 Maverick is just now getting it...Not to mention they still don’t have factory navigation, an updated cluster, or backup camera or 32” tires standard. I also been seeing a lot these flipped at the dunes past couple of years because guys have poor visibility out. You’d think they would address some of these issues that consumer want. I’m hoping the SPEED UTV honestly makes both Can Am and Polaris step it up it’s getting a little stagnant
Can am just came out with smart shocks that are far better than the Polaris shocks. The Mavericks are killing Polaris in most aspects with these machines.
EVEREST H the suspension is far better then Polaris. Polaris on the bigger hits is not even close to what stock suspension on x3 can do. Shock therapy even says x3 out if the box has better suspension.
