This video is no good for me in Chicago, IL....What she is going over is not on the Air Brake test in ILLinois ...frfr.....study the CDL book every question the test ask is covered in the book. I'm going back to retest this Thrusday. I need Class B with Air brakes with passengers endorsement.

I’m confused on one of the questions: 14:10 “you should put your the starter key into your pocket while you perform the pre-trip inspection because “ shouldn’t the answer be “someone could start and move the truck”?

I searched the cdl .pdf file and the word "steal" is not in it. However, under the combination vehicle chapter (chapter 6) I find "Shut off engine and take key with you so someone else won't move truck while you are under it."

On the previous practice test says to check your load every 50 miles which is roughly to 1 hour or less (depending on speed, obviously) and then this other question asks when should you inspect your cargo and the answer is every 3 hours or every 150 miles...................

The book says “ drivers of trucks and truck tractors transporting cargo must inspect the securement of the cargo within the first 50 miles of a trip and every 150 miles or every 3 hours after (whichever comes first)”. I got confused on that one too.

@@FamilyCTSV I THINK IT MEANS THE FIRST TIME AFTER YOU LOAD AFTER YOU DRIVE 50 MILE UR FIRST INSPECTION IF THE LOAD IS OK YOU INSPECT 150 MILE DRIVING OR AFTER 3 HOUR DRIVING IF THE CARGO IS OK SAVE AND NOT MOVE OR LOOSE

1:21 This question and answer was right or wrong? I’m confused. Should be : One within 10 feet of the rear of the vehicle, one about 100 feet to the rear, and one about 200 feet to the rear. Section: 2.5.2 - Communicating Your Presence If you must stop on or by a one-way or divided highway, place warning devices (i.e. flares, triangular reflectors, cones, etc.)10 feet, 100 feet, and 200 feet toward the approaching traffic.

The question refers to a 2 lane road, not a one way road or divided highway. "If you stop on a two-lane road carrying traffic in both directions or on an undivided highway, place warning devices within 10 feet of the front or rear corners to mark the location of the vehicle and 100 feet behind and ahead of the vehicle, on the shoulder or in the lane you stopped in. See Figure 2.9."

There are 2 instances. Ifntour in/on a dived highway it's 1 in front 2 in back. Highway all 3 go in back

The time is 8:55 a.m. Wednesday October27th I'm at the DMV right now on Mill Road Milwaukee Wisconsin about to go take the test I'll let you know shortly if I passed. Okay I came out of there about an hour and a half later because I found out that I had to take two more tests actually it's for a test to get what I needed it's the general knowledge test with the signs test the school bus test and the passenger test so I'll go in today to take the passenger test and the school bus test as a completion of the truth but I did pass the science test yesterday

No it’s different… from two lanes it went to four lanes divided. All the vehicles will be from behind. Check manual if your unsure.

At 15:44, 'if a vehicle is carrying a load that is more than 2 feet wide and extends more than 4 feet beyond the rear of the vehicle...' is WRONG FOR CALIFORNIA!!! The California Commercial Driver Handbook states... a (as in one) solid red or fluorescent orange flag at least 12 inches square must be placed, NOT 2 red flags!

No, the answer is correct. With Air Brakes ... 450 ft = 1 1/2 football fields. Without Air Brakes ... 420 ft = about 1 football field + 40 yards. Either way, it's more than one football field. Right out of the CDL for non-airbrakes: "At 55 mph, your vehicle will travel a minimum of 419 feet"
