Today I drive and review a 2021 Chevy Blazer RS! Chevy Inventory: www.larryhmillerchevrolet.com/ My Car Build/Mod Channel: / @tronautolab Second Channel: / @thebenhardyshow Instagram: ben_hardypl Facebook: @benhardycar
Both EXCELLENT cars! I've driven them both from dealer stock a half dozen times each and still can't decide! Tho for that sweet crossover styling alone I'm probably going with the Chevy. So good looking!
With the Bronco nameplate returning in addition to other SUVs on the market, GM created a missed opportunity “watering down” the Blazer (and Trailblazer, too) ... and it’s been hard to watch, tbh knowing they’re actually capable of better.
There's so many high-end performance SUVs now. GM needs to throw the corvette engine into the blazer and make an SS. The thing looks like a poor Man's Lamborghini Urus
It is a Camero RS CUV, and Chevy as beaten the rich boys at Long Beach, I heard the bigger motor would not go in, this is just a V6 Camero CUV, and I heard they might make a Corvette SUV or put the bigger motor in some high dollar Traverse, and Lamborghini is something for the track like high-end Corvettes, the Corvette Stingray is the beat everyday driver.
Ben, how does this drive compared to Aspec RDX. I own RDX Aspec and was just curious, I mean Blazer looks cool with those wheels but i would not buy one I'm a Japanese car fan only. Let me know thanks
Just got an RS with the Pewter color! I love it. Do you know what the little square up on the dash is for right in front of the windshield? I thought it was a heads up display but thinking it’s just a sensor?
I have one and my son does also. He told me it flashes red on your window if your getting to close to something. (Person walks in front of you, car in front of you slams on brakes)
I’m not sure you provided your opinion on the Blazer vs Grand Cherokee? I purchased my second Jeep Grand Cherokee 2021 Summitt V8 5.7 Hemi, with the upgraded Leather package in December and love it! I wanted to get another one because of the upcoming body changes for 2022, of which I’m not a fan. (Looks too much like a Range Rover) This month I was looking at the Blazers for work (I travel and wanted a road vehicle and got a Blazer as a rental and was really impressed) but ended up getting a Ram, V8 with the 5.7 Hemi as well. I’m not convinced Chevys holds up after 100k miles. Open to others feedback though?
Most chevies my family and i had have been solid. My current (just a 2009 cobalt) is at 177k km and still going, but definitely grabbing a blazer in the next year, albeit the premier trim.
If you plan tow anything, and want 4wd, you have to go with the Grand Cherokee (or just the Cherokee, since it can tow as much as the Blazer; 4,500 lbs). Blazer only offers the towing package on the FWD version.
The stitching is definitely not pink... I suppose when the sun is at its peak and shining right at it, the color would appear lighter... but this is a *RED* stitch.
Do not see this Blazer Rs as competition for the Grand Cherokee, as you can not get 4 by 4 only AWD, therefore it is competition for all the CUV with AWD. I love the v6 3.6 the sound of it is great and the techno is great and the styling is very good. It appears to have a good back seat room and storage room, with the seats down in the back good storage room, just like the old S10 Blazer but then sadly the store ends. While the RS might be the best street CUV it falls short of the Blazer name offroading, towing, and no drop-down tailgate to use as a workbench. The old Blazer was a horse offroad it could eat up mud, sand, rocks, and hill climb. The S10 Blazer was such a pioneer in the 4 by 4 world with shift on the fly 4 by 4,auto-locking hubs, a light to tell you which range of drive you were in 2 or 4 by, etc, and later the ZR2 Blazer improved with 31-inch tires and factory lift. The K5 was innovative it was the first big SUV offroader, sadly the current Blazer is just an AWD copy of all the others, but the auto glove box and the overall package are good, with no innovation in 4wd like old Blazers. Like the current Jeep Cherokee does not appear to have much back seat headroom, I think my 89 S10 Blazer has good headroom. Bottom line I think it is nice, and I love the motor, but it was time for Chevy to keep improving the Blazer 4 by 4 package and they did not, while the motor power would be nice on the road when you hit the tough this would fail, and old Blazers would keep going like a rock, give me the rock offroad over the power on road, as you can only go so fast on road.CUV is being made for markets sale with a four-door, as a mom, businessman, and average Joe want a smooth ride, and sadly Chevy is out of the smaller truck SUV market for 4 by 4, hey you guys should know Toyota is making a Four Runner still with big sell, Jeep sells 4 by 4 all the time, and Ford has a Bronco getting ready to come like a horse like Chevy use to sell. All these guys also sell AWD CUVS, it is time for Chevy to get back in the game of 4 by 4, you could make a ZR2 two and four-door off Colorado, or you could hit the ball and make a small S10 pickup and two and 4 door ZR2 Blazer off of it, the pioneer needs to return with a 4 by 4 Blazer that has a crab walk option, and you can keep selling all the CUVS as they replace the USA car, pioneer awake Chevy a 4 by 4 small SUV with innovation, ZR2 package,2 or 4 door, and crab walk as an option. And the RS and current Blazers are nice for the road type.
My wife and I just bought a Blazer that looks like the one you show here. We absolutely love it! Plenty of power, the AWD does excellent in the snow, Sport mode with the V6 gives it an extra little zip off the line and we’ve already gotten tons of compliments on it.
@@TheDiameter 6k pickups have NA V6's... I'm not defending this vehicle, I hate it, but that motor is plenty for this application. Most of these cars get away with 4cyls.
@@gasolinediesel972 At least those turbo I4s make good low end torque, N/A v6s don’t. And just be they do doesn’t mean that they should... this thing needs a set of turbos or a couple more cylinders
I bought a 2021 Blazer LT with the black wheels and I found out the black wheels are only plastic covers, not actual black wheels. That really pissed me off because they do not divulge that stuff. and they charge a bundle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another sneaky scam!!
Hello Ben I have a new name for you. -----Ben the Hardy content factory----- Interesting thing is even with high content output, you presentations are very concise and to the points people like to hear. Exude Quality! Keep up the good work. Soon 400k subs.
Its over priced at 54k "NJ" Should have been rear wheel drive while in 2 wheel. The front bottom cushion needed to be extended And this only works if it's fully loaded.
Looking at the JD Power Dependability Index would be all I need if I was choosing between these two! How companies like Ford, Chrysler, Nissan, Rover, etc stay in business when their products are so lousy is hard to fathom. JD Power is the definitive voice, and the only consumer agency you can trust.
@@user-bc4fs9jp2m Pretty sure that it has a transfer case, might be wrong though. I think it's an auto transfer case, so it'll turn 4x4 on when it needs it. It's confusing.
@@user-bc4fs9jp2m It's true. The GC is RWD until you switch it to 4wd or until the computer does with the auto 4wd. It's also available as a 2wd with RWD only, unlike the Blazer, which is FWD in the 2wd models.
Nope not pulling for this one. JEEP GC, better dash layout, no porthole rear blind spots, styling, and still maintains it's 4x4 heritage. This is coming form a real Balzer 4.3L , Jimmy 4.3L , and Tahoe 5.3L owner who now enjoys the JEEP GC immensely. Looks like GM borrowed as much as they could to try and sway people. The same JEEP chassis can handle the 3.6L up to the 6.4L!
@@Shovelups General rule of thumb is to give the new models a year or two so the bugs can be worked out if any. I've not looked deep into the differences though. I still prefer the WK2 body style and dash over the WL but that's as far as I've looked. Have not been in a WL yet.
This suv is way overpriced for what it is. Just for the looks without a V8 engine in there that’s unacceptable. For that price it should have came with a v8.
Honestly I wouldn't hate as much if they had at least made it like the new Explorer and a SS model with the 6.2L. Turning the Camaro into a FWD CUV is kind of sad. lol
The blazer owner in me is very saddened by this. Why would GM make another Equinox with the ground clearance of a Honda Civic and call it a "Blazer" :(
We can you jey is the day tomorrow morning if so I can bring you tomorrow morning morning and Sunday night Sunday Sunday night and Sunday night Sunday Sunday meg
