Same, 21 Cust TB and I am absolutely satisfied with it. I have no plans to ever part ways with it. I don't need the higher trim levels at all. Cool videos and thaks for all the pointers.
I’ve been watching your videos for a minute. I’m also in Colorado slowly modifying my 20 3.0 Duramax. So far the biggest upgrade I’ve done is swap from the jump seat setup to the full console, I recommend that to everyone. Love the videos man!
So what's the word on the street with the lifter issues on the 5.3 ...was it finally resolved? Some say it was strictly due to AFM and others say some had issues even after deactivating AFM ....
@@barrya.6212 I find that it was mostly 2020-23 models. I have the AFM in my 2019 and haven't had any issues. Fingers crossed. I wish they would just let the owner turn it off with a button. So stupid.
There was allegedly a “bad batch” installed between 19-21. Disabling AFM “can” help but hasn’t been proven. All my research indicates that the best way to avoid problems is frequent oil changes (not letting the % get to 0). I religiously do mine every 5k with full synthetic. The only true fix is to switch out lifters and cam shaft to do a mechanic removal which costs $$$$. Thanks EPA!
Love the truck and especially the color. I bought a '23 6.2L partly based on watching your videos. 13k miles and no issues so far (except for self-inflicted errors - ha). I appreciate what you do.
@@limitedslipautomotive haha, I’ll be following in your footsteps. Got my 2020 custom tb this August w only 17k miles and I’ve already added a bunch of small mods including full Lasfit conversion. Has the 6-speed so I picked up the sure-cool system on your recommendation 👍
