AGREED. I can only tell you what our experience has been, after completing our 3-year lease on a 2021 AWD Pacifica, ending in March 2024. We're trading our gas powered Pacifica (getting 21.5 mpg) tomorrow for a 2023 hybrid Touring L Pacifica. We're in our 70s, so of course we're going to complain about the steep price, as it costs almost as much as our house did years ago. My wife and I have since retired and like to take day-trips throughout the countryside, driving mostly back roads at posted speed limits. We get to see more that way and frequently pull aside to let people pass. The lease was for 15,000 miles/year, but we averaged 20,000 miles a year. Since we are trading in our Pacifica and re-leasing, there was no penalty for exceeding the mileage limit by 16,000 miles. Bottom line, we absolutely LOVE our existing Pacifica and really hate to see it go as a trade in. We considered buying the Pacifica for the (predetermined) payoff price of $24,578.86, as it would eliminate the monthly payment, but we find the hybrid option attractive. (BTW - the bank advised us the price is only for us. I don't know why, but any dealership taking it in trade would have to pay significantly more. Not sure if the dealer taking our Pacifica in trade actually has to pay extra amount, however the finance guy mentioned the dealership is no longer using this bank.) Ok, I WAS leery about the historical performance of Chrysler vehicles, but figured the 60,000 mile warrantee would cover any issues and we have come to trust this dealership and its maintenance department. We have the Pacifica routinely serviced there. Well, the only issue we had was a creaking front end, that started around 30,000 miles, and the creaking sound was only in cold weather, when fully turning the steering wheel to back out of our driveway. The dealership has since fixed the issue under warrantee. Other than this one issue, there have been NO OTHER PROBLEMS. Kudos to Chrysler for giving us an exceptional lease experience. After 61,000 miles we can honestly report: the ride has been very comfortable, plenty of leg room, sporty, heated steering and seats, adequate pickup power, excellent 4' x 8' cargo capacity, roomy seating for 7 people, numerous helpful safety features, and I personally find the Pacifica is a sexy vehicle to boot! As a result, we are looking forward to leasing another Pacifica tomorrow to continue exploring the wonders of CT, MA and RI, now with a gas saving Pacifica Touring L hybrid.
Shid I'm a large SUV lover. Had a 2012 GMC Savana Explorer SE and when you get older. You get wiser. Fuel Mileage brought me here. There's way more technology in minivans than what I had.
i know it'll never happen but if there was a Hellcat option for this (or even an SRT version), I would get one. No questions asked. And nothing would be better than pulling up next to a Mustang GT at a light, watching him laugh at you, and then watching his jaw drop when he realized that he just got smoked by a Mommy Mobile.
I rented one recently, 800 miles on the clock. Stalls in reverse and the interior panels were falling off in the back. I agree though, nice tech, nice interior driving dynamics. No confidence in long term reliability.
I’d take this over any three row crossover any day. The amount of usable cargo room, leg space, and practicality that a minivan offers you is unmatched.
We're in our 70's, knee replacements and all, and our grandkids live 1000 miles away. A mini-van was the perfect choice for us to haul stuff across the country for our family. We love our mini-van! Our first mini-van was when our kids were little, now it's just the circle of life.
The exterior styling on the previous Pacifica was more flowing and elegant, the new one is rather generic. Also its best to order, drop the vacuum and get the spare tire kit. Get a flat in the middle of nowhere or late at night and you will understand the importance of an actual spare. The gunk they give you only works for a small puncture, if that. The Sienna is a quality vehicle but unfortunately the front end looks like somebody glued on a vacuum cleaner nozzle. But hands down mini vans make way more sense for a family than a crossover or SUV. It is a roomier, capable vehicle and it costs less that most crossovers or SUV's. I just don't understand the stigma attached to them and why people care so much what other think about them. Is not safety and comfort and capability more important?
I still don't understand people who thinks minivan are boring and less cool than large suv, take a good look at modern minivans! Especially Pacifica and KIA Sedona, they are legit beauty
Had the last version. It was a gremlin filled stressful mess. The only good things where the stereo and surround view camera. The ride was to bouncy. Mpg felt like I was driving a Army truck. Most of all the touchscreen failed numerous times in two years. The touchscreen controls everything from taking calls to ac and cameras. I was so frustrated I contacted the company and vowed to never own another Chrysler product. They lost a customer with me. Paid it off and got a Toyota Sienna.
Hello. So we have a charger scatpack, a challenger and now a 2020 Pacifica. Same as the one here in color. Except the seats. But let me tell you guys. It’s a fun vehicle to drive. Maybe I’m getting old. But oh well. We drove from Arizona to Illinois down to Florida and back. Enjoyed the U S of A in style. If you’re looking for a van. This is it.
Never understood the "hate" of minivans. They do almost everything better than a CUV/SUV. And anyone who thinks most SUV's are sporty are fooling themselves. I'd take the new Sienna over any SUV.
Just ordered one yesterday (Touring-L with black S interior). Great video - I love how you hit the key points quickly (that a lot of the other 2021 Pacifica reviews seem to miss). Two small points - the hands-free doors doesn't mean hit the button on the remote like you show (all trims have that) - it means you can open by placing your foot underneath the sliding doors or rear door if your hands are full. You mention that the hybrid doesn't have 2nd row stow-n-go which is correct, but the Pinnacle trim also does not have 2nd row stow-n-go. The upgraded, bucket second row seats in the Pinnacle are too big - but the storage is still there under the floor for whatever else you want.
I don’t even have a family but that van is coming for the Odyssey and the Sienna and I know he sounds like he’s joking but behind every joke is a thinly veiled cry for help💯
@@Aradhya.Sharma Disagree. This thing looks WAY nicer than both inside and out. Unless I planned to keep a van for 10 years and/or over 150k miles, I'd chose this all day everyday.
The Odyssey is hideous looking and is having problems. It actually is no longer recommended by Consumer Reports. Hondas reliability has really declined over the years. Especially the Odyssey. Also no AWD.The Sienna is ugly and has the least power.
Well, my gf said she wants 10 kids 👶🏼. We're planning on getting married this year. I probably won't need a minivan till a few years after we're married but I still like the idea of minivans. I like the kia Sedona too
I sell at a Chrysler dealership so I'm watching these for the info. A lot of these. This is the first car review I've ever watched that was ACTUALLY entertaining and made me lol TWICE. "As you may have guessed, I'm dead inside, but the Pacifica is not." I f'n DIED. His complacent smile. Lmfao I'm sharing this with everyone lol
I looked at the website and the options available are amazing, especially the "theatre dvd video system" in the back. The black wheels with pearl black exterior colour choice makes it look so ultra cool....and ominous.
I used to hate vans, but the Chrysler Pacifica converted me its a beautiful van looks more SUV like & sporty. I love the how spacious ot is & the black rims, black details, red leather seats & that matte dark gray color. Everything is lovely & appealing to me,. I want one & am planning on getting it this summer.
What's there to 'admit' about having sensible, superior automotive selectiveness priorities? Having a minivan is way more practical and useful than some dumbass SUV. MVs, wagons & hatches >>>>> CUVs & SUVs. Because I'm correct. Yep.
Choose pacifica over a honda odyssey any day. With pacifica you have stow and go seats, vehicle camera view, 287 hp, and more seating space. It's not about the looks it's the functionality
I SWARE BY MINI VANS. ALWAYS OWNED ONE. WON'T CHANGE MY TASTE FOR THEM. I'M SINGLE AND TRAVEL. SO HAVING ONE SAVES ME MONEY ON HOTEL COSTS. I JUST TAKE OUT THE BACK SEATS AND PUT A SMALL COMFY BED. IT'S GREAT LOVE MINI VANS.
Before buying it, just know that the auto play will always connect and disconnect, every 5 second, preventing you from using GPS, Mp3 player, and anything that has to do between your phone and the car. Millions of owners are going through this problem (me being one of them) and chrysler is oblivious about it. Same thing with both android play and apple play.
Why bother with a video review if you just read the f specs? So the middle seat folds? Great. What about the back seat. It does? Do you get a flat floor? Yes or no? If you don't understand this is basic minivan functionality, review something else.
I like the look but they still us ethe same engine as the Town and Country and my 2016 lasted 100,000 miles and both the engine and transmission crapped out. Not buying another one. Even the mechanic and transmission guy told me it was very common thing for that engine and tranny.
4:44 you aren't quite sure what's happening? Why not take the bus then? If you can't manage to go down the road without driving like an idiot, maybe you should reconsider driving.
This is not a car, I feel like a living room on wheels. Seriously! it felt like we never left our living. It's very comfortable to drive you dont feel bumps.
I thought this was a great car when we bought one back in 2018. There is now a recall on the car and they do not expect to have a repair until next year sometime. This car is now sitting in my driveway unable to be used because they tell me I can't park it near any other vehicles or even park it in my garage and they say not to plug it in. I have already been waiting 5 months for a fix and now they tell me I may have to wait a year. They will not buy the car back or give us a loaner until the car is fixed. Please do not buy their cars until they help the 16,000-20,000 of us who cannot not even use our cars. Thank you
Seems to have a lot more choices than the Sienna. As far as quality, we have a Sienna Limited and have had over $7000 worth of work done on it, fortunately most of it covered under the extended warranty.
Well someone is moody and decided to like the pacifica better than the carnival everything you did was better in the carnival oh and to get in the 3rd row in the carnival with the lazy boy seats just pull the other lever as well, the seats are way better in the carnival and way more space way better teck so please try to give better reviews with more professionalism, after all you are kbb and i normally refer people to you and if you have a favorite don't focus on that focus on the vehicle you are reviewing 😉
Hi everyone I just got a 2021 Pacifica s and I absolutely love it and I don't have any children I do Uber and Lyft for a living so the more space for my passengers also I was wondering with the DVDs can you download other games to the games in the back just wondering thank you
