Love the episodes with Jason. So great to see a real biker serve as CEO. I've followed his career from when he was a marketing guy for many years. He took a break and ran Lamborghini for awhile. I read a quote with him asking why he went back. His response was "I'm just a bike guy." This is why Ducati is the leader in Motorcycles.

@Lassi Kinnunen 81 I hope they never do, just as I hope Rolex doesn't ever make a thousand dollar watch. Ducati's are a luxury, aspirational brand. Also, more reliable? They're as reliable as Toyotas. As least mine have been.
@Bob_Smith19

@@scottnathanphoto Do you realize the volume that Rolex does? They are by far the largest Swiss luxury watch maker. At the end of the day they make money off brand recognition. There are better watches for both less and more money. But people that aren’t into watches know the name and buy them because of the name alone. Always amusing when people see the service timetables and associated costs of a Rolex 😂

I've changed the main spring twice. That's it. No issues and kept perfect time. If you're using value proposition for Ducati or any other aforementioned marque, you just don't get it and never will.

Hey, i much prefer this new thing with Jay using a intercom system when riding bikes with another person. It continues the conversation on the road, opposed to Jay only talking to the audience. WOW heated seats!… After returning to the ‘world’ from Vietnam I went cross country on my ’72 Triumph 650 Bonneville - NY to California and back to NY, about three weeks and a 6400 mile trip all together. My cruise control was a set screw on the throttle… The handle bar mirrors were useless since it was a complete blur at speed, any speed. When I sold that bike (big mistake) it had over 80,000 miles (rebuilt the top end a few times) - it was completely worn out. Great video Thanks Jay.

I am an old school biker, I had a lot of bikes that I made Cafe racers back in the 1970's. The best bike back then was the Norton 850 Commando. I tested the Kawasaki, 900's but the Norton when you cranked the throttle it got smooth, the Kawasaki was smooth until you cranked the throttle and the mirrors completely blurred. The Norton was faster. I rode a Ducati a few years ago that had over 200 horsepower, I could bring the front wheel off the ground in any gear. I still love fast bikes but at 69 years young but I don't ride on the edge like I once did.. This Ducati provides enough raw power to keep me happy but not overpower my sensibilities. I would go up against any 18 year old on a drag strip and win because I still have excellent reaction times. This Ducati has just the right balance and horsepower to still make me a winner in 1/4 mile confrontations but enough control to make my girlfriend have a very pleasant ride while we don't pay attention to the road rage riders who think every road is a GP track. Thanks Jay for turning me on to my next bike. I was ready to purchase a Honda Valkyrie but the Ducati is faster, lighter and more in tune with the way I like to have fun. I may just get both and not listen to my girlfriends rants about financial responsibility, LOL!

@footballcoreano That's wildly incorrect 😂 All 4 of the Japanese manufacturers are more reliable than ducati, or any other brands. Worldwide failure rate rankings for a 4 year old bike are: Yamaha, then Honda, then Kawasaki, then Suzuki, in that order, then a big gap, then everyone else. Japanese brands are only a year or 2 behind the Europeans in terms of tech. That's why the Japanese are more reliable, they do some testing first!

I remember my Ducati 450 with it's gorgeous yellow and chrome gas tank and how great it was to ride around New York with. But it vibrated and one night the head light fell off pulling a lot of wires out of their connections. I tied things back together and made it home and next day back to the shop where I worked. The wires were solid copper and coated in black plastic with tiny numbers in white , very much like International Trucks were wired. The terminals were tiny set screws that were a nightmare to get right, too loose the wires popped out, too tight the wire broke. Eventually I used loc-tight on every nut and bolt, and wire tied every junction block and had no more trouble with it.

Bought a new 900SS in ‘94. Saw it tested in Cycle World magazine and fell in love. Ducati had a full page ad in the mag yet had zero contact info listed. No phone number and remember, this was pre-Internet. In the test article CW had a non-toll free phone number listed for Ducati HQ in New Jersey. I called to inquire where a guy in NE Ohio could buy one? A lady with a very thick Italian accent set the phone down (no hold button) and I could hear her paging through a book from which she gave me three options, none nearby. I wound up driving 125 miles to a dealer in Columbus, OH. I bought the bike and as soon as they filled it with gasoline the tank leaked from a porous weld. So while it sat awaiting a new tank from Italy I had all the requisite mods done. Rejet carbs, larger rear sprocket, Fast by Feracci mufflers, etc. When I picked it up it and heard it run for the first time it was one of the most exciting purchase moments of my life. The bike was thrilling to ride and a joy to own. I’ve owned two more Ducati’s after that. But at 64 years old I’m winding down and have switched toys to an old Alfa Romeo. But, wow, has Ducati come a long way.

For anyone who hasn't heard the joke: Heaven is where the cooks are French, the police are British, the mechanics are German, the lovers are Italian and everything is organized by the Swiss. Hell is where the cooks are British, the police are German, the mechanics are French, the lovers are Swiss, and everything is organized by the Italians.

I just came back from a walk and to my surprise somebody's brand new Ducati Multistrada V4S in the Italian flag's colors along with a matching Shoei helmet sitting outside my apartment. Not but 5 mins later I jump on RU-vid and lo and behold this video. Whoa! Is the Universe trying to tell me something? lol! Great vid! Also this guy doesn't look like he should have long hair.

Such a genial host. Jay is comfortable n his own skin, and this translates into helping his guests feel relaxed too. In this way the vehicle can take center stage while guest and host play a supporting role. What an inspiration you are Jay. I'm also pleased that the show no longer mentions that its a pandemic edition. It makes us your viewers feel more hopeful that normalcy is just around the corner. I'm looking forward to more of your video uploads.

Jay, the version I know of the joke you tried to tell at the beginning goes something like this: Hans and Francois were two good friends, both members of the European Parliament. One day Hans notices Francois lost in thought, and asks what he was thinking about. “I was just thinking about the difference between heaven and hell. In heaven, the civil servants are British, the cooks are French, the lovers are Italian, the police are Swiss, and the engineers are German. In hell, the cooks are British, the engineers are French, the civil servants are Italian, the lovers are Swiss, and the police are German!”

Sold. Was looking for a bigger brother for my Hypermotard to take the wife out on a ride and wasn't happy with Ducati's lineup. I suspect that I am not the only one who will take a close look at this bike. I am not a fan of the GS 1250 as it is way to big to use in the city and this is a massive step up from the KTM 1190 ADV in terms of tech and versatility. I am sold.
