I love the Ducati bikes - power, style, performance but like you, wasn't into red bikes. I knew I wanted a superbike and was looking at an Aprilia, but the ergos wasn't great for my 6'0" frame and my position around the tank. When they started taking pre-orders for the SP back in November last year, I fell in love and made it my mission to put down a deposit. I picked up #105 at the end of May 2021 and have loved every minute. Congrats on your purchase, you can always buy the matte black fairings if you are not a fan of red. BST carbon wheels and a termi D184 slip on, and you have an incredible machine.

I am soooo jealous... I really did want one but would have to wait until about April next year. I had to change my 959 in a hurry due to an issue at the dealer. But hey, who knows what will happen next year, I may upgrade again!!

All I can say is WOW!!! What a beautiful bike . I love your bike its so awesome and so beautiful. I rode a 1299s and it was really cool I hope to ride another Ducati again soon but until then I'll just admire yours and others who have the pleasure of owning and riding. I hope someday soon I'll get the chance to ride one again. I really love your bike it's so gorgeous and such a beautiful machine.. Please be careful and ride safe buddy and God Bless.

Carbon Fiber wings would add about $500 USD to the cost of this machine. Front fender and rear tire hugger in CF would add over $1000 USD. The price of the bike would push it out of the limit/value of the average retail buyer.

I know right, they are so hard to find.... They were supposed to have more stock in the New Year but that never happened. I am super happy with the V4 and will do a review in a few weeks. I keep going back and looking at the slip on for $6k fitted but still unsure....

Thanks a lot for the video! It was really informative and it’s made me rethink getting a V2. The V4S looks so much better. Not being able to ride your new bike because of the extended lockdown in Sydney must be killing you.

Hi, I had exactly the same dilemma…. With the new electronics I thought if I could afford it then it would be a better choice… however I have read that the V2 is a cracking bike so I think it’s a win win either way…. I have done all the mods to the bike and yes I just can’t wait to take it out…. Oh well

@@markwarner7326 V4s is good for the track, while the V2 I think is more fun on the street hence why I got the V2 over the V4! Although that V4 does look much nicer than the V2.

I'm also a V2 owner. Chose the V2 because *for me*, off the track the V2 wins on the price/fun equation. Especially with the Akra exhaust on it ;) They're both amazing bikes of course! Hope you enjoy it Mark, it's gonna be a fun summer. And an exhaust upgrade is essential and completely worth it. It's not really a Ducati without those Akra pipes!

@@markwarner7326 So you mates can't even go out to enjoy a ride?!? You mean to tell me that you haven't been able to rip on it at least a few times??? I bought the standard V4. another $6K USD would've put the bike out of my price range. We have the same engine tho...and it's GLORIOUS! Since you guys are approaching spring/summer, and you're on lock down. I'd advise installing a throttle spacer, and the heat shielding under the seat and subframe. Bike will still feel hot in traffic and at lights, but will be much more tolerable. Both are considerable improvements.

@kelz4198 2 года назад
@@markwarner7326 Wow, your government isn't messing around! I installed the kit. It took just over two hours? I like to do the work myself, and I took my time with it. A professional can do it quicker I'm sure. I scoured youtube for every video about heat shielding for the V4, and was somewhat skeptical. But it does make a difference. It's not a night and day difference though...it's more like an "afternoon" difference (Still hot...but not goddamn hot) but as I mentioned, It makes the heat more tolerable. It would probably mean a very comfortable ride with your leathers. :)

Depends... If you wear normal trousers/jeans and ride in the city in 1st or 2nd gear you can say goodbye to your nuts... If you have sweeping roads and chance for air to cool the engine or you wear leathers then it is manageable.. But it is a hot bike.

Hi, Its a Ducati so it will heat up especially the Panigale range. If you wear jeans then this can be uncomfortable but if you wear leathers then it doesn't bother me. I found that the heat shield i put on my 959 didn't help that much as the heat comes out the sides right into your inner thigh.

All that I have seen makes me believe that it’s just not worth it… it may be a bit louder but the standard sounds great. Then you have to buy the extra lower fairing too…. It is a rip off but I also know there are other alternatives… for me…. I think I won’t change it

$8500 for the full system and $5500 slip on is a total ripoff. I built 70mm full system (based on a termi) for my brothers 1098 a few years back, if had to charge him it would've been around $130 for the materials plus 5 -6 hours of labour etc ($ 700) here in Perth Wa. with a full exhaust system ona v4 on a mass production it probably cost them 300 to 400 max.

The arrow slip on is $2k US, and it sounds very aggressive. The sound matches the look of the bike. As oppose to the stock exhaust when you rev it it’s just weak. Your riding experience will definitely change if you upgrade your exhaust

@@markwarner7326 I agree. I've gotten to test ride the v4s and the feeling I got on it was hard to explain. You know you're on something special when you ride a ducati. No other bike looks as pretty as the v4 in my opinion. If I had the money a v4sp would be the bike I'd get without a doubt but it is a little out of my price range unfortunately. The aprilia on the other hand isn't as pretty as the ducati but comes with the same tech along with cruise control which is better for the street. And man the aprilia sounds absolutely nuts..
