I have the same alpine 8 inch halo subs in my F150 501A powerboost. The best thing I did was to use the pac audio B&O interface. The sound quality from the subs is night and day without it.
Beautiful truck. Love it. A question. Love that amount of poke, but do you get any dirt and scratches along the sides from stuff being kicked up from those tires sticking out that amount? I'm considering that amount, but if I go a little more poke maybe adding black or body colored fender flares (smooth, without the cosmetic bolts you so often see). Definitely want the white body color with black appearance package like yours. Also deciding if I'll do 2-3" level or 4" lift, but I want the extra coils and control arms like on yours either way if doable. That tires size is perfect, so that may decide the level/lift question for me. If my tires were to be 33's or 34's instead of 35's, maybe I'd be able to get a 17" or 18" instead of 20" wheel, but I just love your 35's.
I would do the 4in bds lift. I leveled it first and didn’t like the look. The leveling kits don't quite get the truck leveled out. The tire size i picked has a perfect fitment so that's what i would recommend. The raptor side steps block rocked etc from flying up and hitting the side of the truck. Gets some dirt but not alot. They don't stick out that far past the fender.
Thanks. Two quick thoughts. One, a question, you like those fixed running boards rather than the electric ones that come on say the Platinum? And it never occurred to me that the running boards might block that spray from offset tires, nice. And two, I'd suggest one thing, check out the smooth, black Diamondback HD bedcover for your truck, that would look incredible, not to mention its security and functionality. Well done on the truck.@@lambebuilds
Ya i think the electric ones are sweet. I'd like to have them but at the same time i like that my current ones block large rocks etc from hitting the side of the truck. The raptor steps are low profile compared to the stock ones so they look much better. I have the backflip mx4 bedcover and i love it. Haven’t heard of the black diamond ones but i will be sure to check them out!
I agree with you, I love the look of the Raptor steps. I've planned on the electric ones, but you've sent me for loop with your reference to the fixed ones blocking the spray, that is very relevant. I'm really not sure now which way I'd want to go, other than if I do go fixed, I agree the raptor over the stock ones are the way to go. @@lambebuilds
