Here we have the 2021 Ford Explorer ST! This Explorer ST comes in agate black metallic on ebony perforated leather interior. The Explorer ST comes with a 3 liter turbocharged V6 engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Standard features of this Explorer ST include Bluetooth audio, a backup camera, and a navigation system. Options include a B&O sound system and adaptive cruise control.

I've been tossing up between the Explorer ST and the Dodge Durango SRT, I like the idea of a big V8 in the Durango, but although the Durango puts out 75 HP more, it also weighs almost 1000 lbs more. So I don't think it would be any quicker then the Explorer. Then the Explorer also gets better fuel economy, so I'm leaning towards the Explorer.

@@ladrums1000 Not sure now, I saw this review from savagegeese and they say the 2020 model is not so good. They say it's got very rough transmission and crappy interior. They really hated on it. But by the time I buy a new car it will be the 2022 model, so I'm thinking the problems may be sorted out by then. Durango got the power or whatever but it’s very outdated worse fuel economy too. I’m torn between the ST & the Hyundai Palisade

Nice review! I am still torn between this and the Durango RT with the Tow N Go package. Have had terrible experiences with Ford and the SYNC 3, so I think I am leaning toward the Dodge. The Interior of the Dodge imo is much nicer. The Explorer seems a bit too plastic for me.

Single digit gas mileage in a Durango SRT--and it needs premium.Also a few reviewers have pointed out that dodge uses very cheap and poor designs on some of its partsThen again there is the GV70--but that is about 5k more then an explorer.I have a 2020 AWD Stinger GT 3.3TT and miss sitting up high.I know in comfort mode if i drive normally i am at 23 MPG which is very good considering the performance.Fuel Mileage last year not the biggest concern--but now that demented joe is in office--premium has now almost doubled--rigth at 4 dollars a gallon and it was about 215 to 225 last year when i got my car--I actually thought about this when buying--said to myself if i got a jeep Cherokee SRT that i would be at the limit of my budget and if somehow Trump loses that gas could skyrocket--could of still bought the jeep outright--but with the money I saved I have 30k in the bank for my next car and will also see where gas prices are at.Paid 36k (before trade in and after rebates applied) for the stinger and there was nothing near that price for the performance.Stinger was 43k--I was buying the car outright.This was at the height of covid and also for some reason noone wanted the AWD,3k in rebates from KIA--3k from the dealer--and I traded in a car i owned and walked out paying 19k total.19k for a 167 MPH AWD car that is warranted for 10 years.

I'm considering the 2021 AWD Durango R/T vs the Explorer ST. The Explorer is faster, yes, but the Durango has been updated for 2021 as well and their new head unit appears to be far more advanced. The 2021 Explorer should have come with Sync 4 but it appears it's still Sync 3, meaning no wireless Carplay (among other things).
