This looks incredibly helpful. Only question I have is I wonder what it looks like for the Chesapeake Bay. I wish Garmin had a way to view this stuff online in a trial-like period before you pulled the trigger. It's a toss up on whether or not your specific body of water is properly mapped with enough detail. I guess it's time to go looking around to see if anyone has a video showing it.

This looks like a game changer for offshore fishing.I usually fish 10-30 miles offshore out of the Perdido Pass and was wondering if you thought it would help or do you have to go further out to get the benefits?

Hey man, love the videos. I'm thinking about buying this for my Garmin, but I can't seem to find any images on how well the coverage is for the Panama City area out to around 20-30 miles . Can you advise on this for me so I can make a decision on weather or not I should pull the trigger on it.

We fish off of pensacola mostly from 3 to 20 miles offshore in a 17 ft boat. Do you think it would be worthwhile to buy the chip? I can see the value if you are deep dropping. I wish you would have shown what the chart shows in say 50 to a hundred feet. For example, would the Dutch banks, and trysler ground bottom show up?

Garmin bought Navonics in 2017, so it uses Navonics data :)

It seems to be useful for picking up structure on the bottom offshore. I do a decent bit of reef fishing in my 22 so that would be useful. Does it help at all with inshore showing bottom contours or oyster banks? I know it has certain features that are supposed to help you navigate safely if you put in your draft. The tides in SC change a lot. Do you know if it changes the navigation line based on the point of the tide you hit it in or if it is based just off the chart numbers? For instance at high tide I can run nearly any creeks, but at dead low I may have to take a much longer trek. Just didn't know how detailed the G3 vision was for inshore stuff

Is there another way to get all of your coordinates other than type them in manually? Can you download them off outdoor alabama to a card then plug the card up? I have two garmin 1243xsv. I fish from dauphin island to destin.

Just ordered new echo map UHD 94sv with g3 vision card for my area. I have an echomap 74sv now but it won’t support the detailed maps so pulled the trigger

Can I get the bluecharts g2 vision downloaded from the active captain app as well as the G3 vision? My chartplotter isnt compatible with the g3.

Hey two questions. How helpful is this for you inshore and nearshore? I mostly fish in the bay up around Dauphin Island. Smaller boat so south winds keep me close most days.

Been considering this but wanted to know how much detail it shows 100 miles or so out of Anna Maria, FL (S of Tampa). I think they use the data from NOAA which doesn't seem to have much for offshore in this area. Can you verify this on your system? Thanks

hello please help me! I am a new owner of a Garmin Ehomap UHD2 92 sonar, I don't understand much about this device. I also bought a new Bluechart g3 vision Southern Europe VEU723L v2024.0 map. The problem is that when I turn on the sonar, I don't see relief shading in the map menu!!! My question is, am I stupid and don't know where to look for this, or is the problem that the card does not have this extra for Europe. it only opens 4 menus for me: 1.Fishing Chart 2.Navigation Chart 3.Mariner's Eye 3D 4.Fish Eye 3D. But there is no Relief Shading !!! Why?

Hi Capt. I purchased my chart for the keys and it has areas blurred and I feel like it doesn’t download for detail. Is there anything you would suggest to do, I feel like it isn’t loading correctly

do you have one for the gulf of Maine and if you do does it show structure close to shore I'm running strike lines now but cant see structure till you get off shore a bit
