"something to eat". Y'all need to take me out with you one day to catch jacks, I promise you once I cook a couple bacon wrapped Jack steaks for you you'll never throw another one back! This was a fun one y'all
Man them 20-24” ones are the best and I don’t have to break out the big boy knife and run exterior cord and plug it in .. just a simple filet 🤣 Congratulations on the flora bama tournament !!
Man U make fishing look too easy, I went out on the boat with my family yesterday and fished around coffee island then went out to the sunken shrimp boat reef and Bergman reef and the fishing was dead all we got was a single white trout lol but today I went out in the rain and fished at delta port off the dock and caught a nice redfish and spec so I kinda made up for yesterday not really tho lol
Great shot Brandon, Capt Collier, my distant Kinfolks. Wild pork is so much better than store bought pork. I was basically raised of feral pigs, Mississippi is loaded with feral pigs. Keep up the great videos Kinfolks.
Hope you try that recipe on those Sheepshead Brandon "Capt Collier" my distant Kinfolks. That Blackjack sure is nice. My Kinfolks on my mom's side Cuzan has a beautiful blue Blackjack boat that i fish on and that thing runs 62 mph with just a 250 Yamaha outboard motor on it. His was rated for a 300 hp maybe a 350 hp motor but it came with the 250 Yamaha an it really performs well. Fishing the Mississippi Gulf Coast and Louisiana Marsh we catch a lot of redfish, speckled trout, flounder and Sheepshead. Our fishing is very well in our area. 15 to 20 minute run by boat makes it very convenient to fish Louisiana so we have great choices. Take care Brandon and grill those Sheepshead like you would a redfish on the half shell, you won't regret it.
My distant cousin Capt Collier and I'm Mr. Sellier these "ier" folks have to be related long distant, right? Those French names and the hunting and fishing that we both do, catching those Sheepshead like I do along with harvesting those hogs. Only difference is you shoot yours and I catch mine alive, tie them up and bring them out alive, either way we both bring home the bacon 🥓. I was waiting for you fellas to put your mouths on that fresh pork, I knew is y'all didn't enjoy that, then y'all don't know what good eating is, because that wild pork is so much better than store bought pork. Store bought pork has no flavor compared to the feral pork. Those Sheepshead are one of the best eating fish in the water. White white meat and delicious fish. You clean your Sheepshead the way I filet mine. Take those Sheepshead and leave the scales on those filets. Place those on the grill after seasoning well, them place thin onion slices on the seasoned fish let that cook until almost done, then take some pepper Jack cheese, mozzarella, and American cheese placing a thin slice layers on each half, then place chopped green onions on top of the cheese and place thin sliced lemon 🍋 slices 3 or 4 on top and let it finish cooking, sprinkle a lil paprika on top to really make the fish look good and taste delicious 😋. You will want to cook Sheepshead this way all the time. Good luck an try this recipe kinfolks.
The bite has been really fun here on the gulf coast …. I tried to buy some croakers (short on time) and ended up catching 4 good 20”ers before the sharks showed up. Have you ever caught a shark on a slick lure ? I may swap when I’m getting sharked 🤣
@@CaptCollier I’m still trying to figure out this rhythm thing and what color on what days 🤣 it’s very confusing sometimes … still no fish on a slick 🙄 I know it’s me 🤦🏻♂️
Man why you throw those back ? I think those specs are delicious , put some yellow corn meal on them and throw them in lake Crisco !!!... Great video !
What rod/reel combo and line are you using for the slick lure? I get a lot of bites just have trouble with getting a commitment. I use spinners as well
You’ll want a medium heavy fast action rod. That’s what I prefer anyways. Something with some good back bone but enough tip action to make that lure work like it should. Hope this helps!
