I am starting to notice more and more GV80 on the roads, and it makes me happy that people are starting to look over the budge. My boss got his GV70 yesterday and he is very happy. He couldn't wait to get rid of his 750i.

We own the GV. 80. Great car, great value. Brakes , suspension second to none. I’ve driven MB ‘s for 25 years and I love everything except for repair cost. The GV 80 is great ,plus a wonderful warranty which is a tremendous value.

I bought the GV80 a few weeks ago and love it!

I have bought this exact spec... except in the Matt exterior. A stunning vehicle. A superb experience to drive. The cabin is simply a delight on every level. The entry into the cabin is a tad small... it's true. However the value for the dollar is incredible. Great review. Thanks.

Your opening cinematography is beautiful, it truly makes the car the hero - the opening is special. The over-review is long but helpful, shopping and comparison wise. Particularly details many other reviewers skip. Your comparisons without over personalizing, are informed, specific. Good stuff.

Looking forward to that g70 review. Got rid of my g70 for wrangler 4xe. Gods I miss that car. But I sure don’t miss going to pump only one fill up in over a month. If genesis has any sort of weakness right now it’s their lack of hybrid/electric options. I’ll be back on genesis band wagon when that happens.

I think Genesis did a very good Job with the GV80 and GV70 because this was the first SUV for this young luxury Brand and I´m sure that the next new cars from this Brand are good too, thanks for the video.

The color is awesome, but I'd rather a darker tan interior with it. At $85K, Genesis is swinging with the big boys now. Great review.

It probably doesn’t unlock the back with the key in your pocket for safety. For example say your trying to get away from someone and u get to the front door faster, the person can’t just jump in the back

The reason to have front door only electronic handle with rear doors inert is sensible because it stops a stranger entering the back door while you are standing at the front door with your key fob.

That looks like a real winner, what was the quality like ? They are pre-ordering the IONIQ 5, EV6 and BMW i4 here in BC now, but delivery when ? Great review you pointed out to things that I haven’t seen after watching probably 60 or 70 of these videos the back up brake lights in the back are very low I agree also I do not know that the rear deck will open up when walking up on it nobody has pointed that out I’m wondering if that’s available on the 2.5 prestige because I’ll be getting mine in about a month

Very nice looking suv, at this price point, it needs 4 way keyless entry. Also hoping Genesis will add a blackout package and a sports package. Only thing I dislike from this design is the rear quarter window rising up. Wished it was more straight Great review and keep them coming!

New subscriber here. Great video and glad to see you crossed that 100k sub threshold! So I’ve been looking for this exact vehicle (trim, color, 3 row). But I was under the impression that the 3 row only came in Advanced+. Is this only in a certain year or region that this vehicle is available?

I thought they didn't have a 3rd row in the Prestige trim. That's pretty cool you got ur hands on one!

POI, under media there is an option for USB Video. Yes, download videos/movies to a pen drive or phone plug it into the usb media plug and watch your video on the 4k infotainment screen. So when the wife wants to go shopping, no problem. I stay in the car and watch Santana in concert or my James Bond favorite movie. Awesome feature. Great review of a great vehicle. I've had mine 5 months (fully loaded 3.5T)

Due to your review I did go & but one 3.5 6 seater Luxury pack Had no choice of any extras to add at all Ie foot step Now have 29864 kms up on it Love it & a pleasure to drive A solid ride on larger wheels My only concern is that we live in Australia & I bought this for long distance touring BUT it has No spare wheel/ this niggles at me fearing a flat tire in the Bush otherwise love it I have white with sand interior Still learning things about it Way too many toys to play with & learn My score as a owner 9 / 10

Note that the 3rd row seat is only available on one trim level and it is very expensive (in the US). At that price I would definitely go with a BMW X5! Too many reviews of this top trim with 3.5l V6. Would like to see review of the 2.5l 4 cyl turbo in a lower trim, which is a much better value! Also, you didn’t mention that it does not have wireless Apple CarPlay or USB type C ports. Hoping Genesis addresses these issues with the 2022 GV80.

That price point is why I got the GV80 over the Q8 or RX350… fo the price it wins every time

Can we not get a 3.5 prestige in a 7 seater now?

It feels like that chrome exterior strip will be wrecked with scratches over time from different types of debris (so low to the ground) and that would drive me crazy! Even bunkers with how expensive the vehicle is!

You can change the color of the vehicle when the 360° camera system come up on the screen to match the exterior color of your vehicle

when were you gonna show us the features in the third row

Perhaps BMW, Audi, and MB customers should be honest about it and add a bumper sticker to their vehicles reading "Badge Snob." Looking for something not to like? Here's mine. Hyundai and Genesis seem to equate diamond pattern upholstery with luxury. From my perspective it reminds me of the sofa in my grandmother's living room in 1955. P.S. Pay no attention to those complaining that your reviews are too long. They're packed with useful information that other reviewers targeting viewers with short attention spans miss altogether.

I've been between choosing an X5, GLE, CX-90 (not really the same realm, but it's still good), and this GV80. Might go with the latter. It's just so damn beautiful.

beautiful vehicle. Question, I am in Canada, and service is an issue. No one seems to know what to say when I ask, if I am on a road trip and need service, where do I go, seems Genesis service bays are few and far between. Cannot just go to Hyundai and have some tech work on it who has never seen one.

You said you’re 5’8” and we’re having difficulties getting in and out of the front! I’m 6’4” and would now have concerns on whether i could actually fit in this vehicle? Otherwise, it looks like a great vehicle! Also, I would like to think in the future there would be an EV version?

You make me want to go buy one today.

Just realized something… if you go to a drive in movie theater in this car, and turn off the engine, all you gonna here is beep beep during the movie 😂 And yes drive-in movie theaters are back. And the people love it. The only time I would keep the car running is because it’s too hot outside. You could bring a radio with you and listen to the movie that way but there is nothing like hearing a movie in a car. It’s like having a in home theatre but a little bit better. Anyway just a tip: if anyone here planning on doing this (especially at some 3hr movie) you can use a fully charged battery for up to an hour and a half and easily be able to start your car but after that I would advise starting your car and running it for the rest of the movie. Another tip: bring a portable jumper. You can jump your own car because it has its own battery. Good for road trips too.

Is this the same Cardiff green color that is offered for GV70s?

Great review, but you do bang on about the Germans a lot at the start of the video. I know some will disagree, but I really feel the GV80 sells itself without the need to bring up German manufactured SUVs. Just my personal opinion BTW.

My husband is 6’3 would this be comfortable for him to drive as well as be a front passenger?
