Final for the second round of the 2021 GoPro Motorplex Karting Challenge in the Briggs heavy class. Started 7th after I screwed up in the Pre-Final and went from 3rd to 7th. The track was a challenge with real low amounts of grip. When the final started the sun had started to go down and the temperature was dropping. We did what we could to get some heat in the tires on the warm up laps but it still wasn’t enough. When we took the green I went into turn three and the rear tires stepped out and I had to catch it. Just a minor set back but still a set back. About half way through the race there was a crash ahead of me and I was able to get through it okay and went from 7th to 4th. I did what I could to try to run the leaders down but I kept making mistakes and would lose ground. On the last lap I was passed and finished the race 5th. Not the way I wanted the day to end based on how well I was doing in the beginning but showed good speed to carry over into the next race. Thanks again for watching and supporting what I love to do.
