Demtumza, as usual, you never forget to check my work. Greatful. This video was quite tricky especially because it was long overdue and the technical issues with it but felt that sharing can't hurt as much as not sharing. Anyway thanks a lot for the support. 🙂🙂🙂
I must say that I was never into the "Haval" vibe happening, until I bumped into your channel and started to understand that this is actually value for money, with an equally nice looking car. The way you do the review, I feel like I'm in the car myself, and now I keep seeing myself looking at the H6 every time it passes me by and have made my mind that I should go and get one for myself. You are doing an excellent job with this channel, and I believe a lot of people will benefit from it; and the fact that you take time to engage us on the chat line, means you care about what you are doing. I believe that you will grow even further; stay blessed and humble!
I did not get the vibe till I decided to visit one of their dealerships someday and realised that they are on to something. I so appreciate the feedback and for always being here to offer support as well. So blessed to get such warm words. Truly appreciate it Blessing🥲🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Absolutely love your videos! Thank you for your content. It’s because of your videos that I decided to venture into a Haval dealership - and was completely blown away! Still deciding between the Jolion and the H6 but I think the H6 is going to win this match 😄
What a wow..... Goosebumps...actually... Saw a white one today on da road and boy oh boy.. dat back end tht long strip break light when on... Yoh Thixo 🙌🙌 Jealous down Haval👌👏 thanks for da awesome content and video as always!!
I do think its one of the best designs on the road currently. Its just a thing of beauty. Thanks a lot Aphiwe, you know its people like you who keep me going and I am super greatful🙏🙏🙏
Another great review bro. May the channel grow from strength to strength. I test drove this about 2 months ago but ended up financing for a Jolion. Glad to say after a combination of poor communication from the dealer and the wife test driving the H6, we decided to switch to ther H6. Now the wait, again... But awesome car. Haval is here, competitors beware! As we say in SA, Danger, Gevaar, Ingozi!😄
You know I felt pain for you that day because I would not take Jolion over H6 and at the same time I know the pain of letting go of something that the wife is against. I am so glad that now you are headed into the direction of the H6. Hehe, Haval is changing the narrative and shaking the industry honestly🤣
The tech is great and Haval has proven that cars do not need to cost as much as they do. The only thing I maybe see why it costs less is because the underlying engineering needs a little more polish such as the fuel consumption (and therefore the engines) as well as the feel through the steering wheel. I test drove a Jolion for example and on the paving I could feel it through the steering wheel. Now I know you can not compare it to a Mercedes but I could not feel that paving through the steering of my Mercedes. So I think they need a little bit more engineering polish although most people won't notice. Otherwise I love these new Havals. The other carmakers should be scared especially since they make everything optional which is standard on a Haval.
Being able to feel the road through the steering wheel is considered a good thing. Completely numb and uncommunicative steering kills the driving experience.
@@autopathos You don't understand. There's a difference between knowing what the wheels are doing and a communicative steering wheel versus one that just isn't isolated from road imperfections. It's not good when you feel yourself driving over a stone. That constant steering wheel vibration gets tedious on long journeys.
@@SDav21 I do understand. We just have different preferences. Of course it will not be as refined as a Mercedes that costs 5 times as much and it obviously isn't communicative like a 1990s hot hatch rack and pinion setup, but I don't find it tedious to get some sort of feedback from the ground, even if it's not perfect. If completely reasonable also to think that it is like that by design to address the many complaints about numb, anesthesised steering in many Chinese cars.
@@autopathos I don't think you do. You can have a communicative steering without feeling the vibrations. That's just bad damping. Not about communicative steering.
True. There is still some work to be done to make their products get to the like of Merc. One thing they get right is comfort so far and they are improving on the driving experience on their latest models. For what you pay for, its reasonable to expect those imperfections which is why I believe its not easy to pick up.
Hi Musa, thanks a lot. Thing is I used the same settings like the video I took on the Jolion POV unless if I changed ISO Max and forgot. Honestly this will sell you on cabin design, comfort, tech and curiosity. The Tiguan will almost lose with everyone who is on a budget but one thing to note those German engines and trasmissions are just superior and for someone who values performance. Haval still has work to do to catch up but not far at all.
It was a short drive and the experience was totally different. Even with the H2 when it was new it felt like the brakes need to wear down a bit so they can stop better. This one really felt lighter from high speed to stopping. I was actually impressed with the brakes compared to other Haval cars I have driven.
Oh wow, great video thanks for the upload. I was thinking by myself the H6 was just a slightly bigger Jolion but seems that is not the case :) P.S. don't stress delays and such, life gets in the way sometimes ;)
Hi, great vid! One question: I noticed the red ambient lighting on the dashboard, do you find it annoying or do you enjoy it? I tried to find out if there's any way to either change the colour or turn it off completely, but I can't find anything... what do you think?
I enjoy ambient lighting a lot, so it can never bother me. I am not sure if it changes on the H6 actually, one colour might be a little boring indeed🤔. I really don't know if it changes at all!
Just one correction. For 2 plus autonomous driving you have to activate the Traffic Jam Assist. In you video you were driving the car in adaptive cruise control. Anyways good review.👍
Thank you very much. I will consider there. I saw someone using it but did not think it can mean the difference between a bad footage and a good one. I will try get it soon.👏🏾
Test drove both the 2wd and the AWD , the AWD handles the power way better - no wheelspin and torque steer , I agree with you the power and torque seem to be too much for the 2wd model (reminiscent of focus st and mazda mps torque steer and wheel hop) , for anyone seeing this just spend the extra 20k and get the AWD...............if you can find stock that is . Anyways managed to find an AWD Lux and will be taking delivery tommorow!!
Haven't driven the AWD as yet but I bet its way better as the 2WD really needs you to be suffering from putting the power down. Torque steer is guaranteed when you put so much power in a front wheel drive. Wow, I don't know how you managed to score that one as supply chain is a mess world-wide. Congratulations on getting that "sleeper". Those who don't know will be trying to pick up with you and they will be shocked🤣
@@sebuwam I got very lucky my friend , there were literally customers at the dealership fighting about who must get their car first. The demand is insane!
Honestly, I can't. Did not have it long enough. With the engine being the same as the one in the H2, if you drive within speed limit expect around 7.5L/100 over time. When new expect around 8L/100
Always blur the speedometer when above the limit. You may get yourself in trouble(you didnt do it when going uphill in Gezina). 😉😉🤣🤣 Great video my guy. I think Im sold on this car, I just need a good deal on my Kia. Lol.
Sure Thabo. Thanks a lot. I assess the risk of material transgression before I blur so not to ruin the video. But thats a great point 🤣... and this car reports everything, did not make it easy for me.🤣
@@sandro6504 Hi Sandro. Meant it has driving aids that are indicating the speed you are travelling in relation to the required speed on the particular road.
Thanks Lihle. Remember you asked me when I did the Nissan Magnite. Glad I managed to get this out and hoping it helps people decide. It was long overdue😨
There only problem i seem to have here is that the infotaiment is angled on the opposite side so if u driving u may feel like u are twisted bc infotaiment is a bit on the passanger side bc china is left drive so they did not plan this well. In S.A the driver is on the right it feels like they just took the steering and put it on the right and left the infotaiment angled on the left. Otherwise i enjoyed testing this last week but that infotaiment angled on the left is just letteing me down. Didnt u see that or feel like i did sir ?
Hi Sydwell, I actually did not notice that, maybe its because I did not try to reach the screen often as Bruce was assisiting me with all the tech. Usually I use that to gauge how easy and how usable is buttons and screens when driving.
Super Lux has the following in addition to the Lux: bigger rims (19"), auto tailgate, wireless charger, power outlet in the boot, lumbar support, blind spot detection, rear cross alert, lane change assist, head-up display, 10 speakers instead of 6, rear privacy glass, heated exterior mirrors and it only comes as a 4wd (Lux you can get 2wd or 4wd)
Hi Philip, I'm planning on buying one in Jan next year. Have you had any buyers remorse so far? Anything particular that you might point to that you were disappointed with? Thx in advance.
I think you need to spec it and supply chain is quite a challenge during this covid times, find that you have to wait for some time (maybe even a month or two) before you actually take delivery of the car
Its a tricky one and here is why: If I can afford the Jolion Premium/Lux, I will take the Jolion over the Sonet anytime. It will get tricky if I am looking at the Jolion City (R299K) and Sonet EX (R310K)- as much as Kia is less powerful its still a great car all round and looks great. Jolion is a great car but the lowest spec has a challenge in that you only get a manual and people don't necessarily love manuals these days. So if you can't go beyond R310K Kia might win on that you get it with a CVT transmission. Otherwise if I can afford anything above that, I will take the Jolion.
@@sebuwam I'm honestly still a manual transmission person, and I love It. I should have been clear from the on set, So if it's between the Kia sonet EX manual and the haval jolion luxury manual.
@@sebuwam Ayt cool, that’s basically the debate we having at home since there’s no stock at dealers for the Jolion Superlux, we’ve been asked to consider the H6
@@sizwedinisesoko Honestly Jolion is intimate and all but H6 is a differrent level, especially on performance. I understand that it might be too big for some though.
@@sizwedinisesoko But I don't doubt that if you get into both of them back to back, H6 will blow you away. H6 Lux is definitely the sweet spot as it has most of the tech that is in the Jolion Super Lux
Yep, but as the intention is just to keep you in lane, if you activate lane keeping assist and adaptive cruise it will basically drive itself but you need to keep your hands on the steering wheel more often as it will not keep at it forever.
Hi, I am not a fan of Chinese vehicles but thank you for an informative review. Can you please do a review on the Tiguan 1.4TSi R line and the Toyota CHR.
Hi Daniel, thanks a lot for watching :-) and thanks a lot for the suggestion. I will consider that as I have quite a long line-up of vehicles to cover.
Hi Emile, thanks a lot for the feedback. I saw your other comment on POVs as well but it seems like it was flagged as it is not appearing. I actually used the same Hero 8 I used on the POV I did for Jolion (you can check that out in the channel videos). I don't use my phone for POVs like this, it won't hold.
