Proud owner of the ek3 civic hatch that has 470k and still goes like a dream. Thinking to get the 2021 sport hatch in the next couple months, though cant decide which one, propably the CVT again.
So my first new car was a 2004 Honda civic EX it’s now at 312,000 miles. I upgraded to a 2019 Honda Accord touring 2.0t in Nov. I kept the old one too! Best car I’ve owned!! Stay safe guys!!
If you are looking to lease this car get EX trim you won't be disappointed. I wouldn't be buying it though. Few things not mentioned anywhere, you can get this car to have 200HP+ very easily. How? First of all, for some reason Honda underrates this engine, there are multiple publications about this car producing more HP and torque than honda states on paper. Then add 93 gas, k&n air filter and Hondata +6psi flash, you will have 200HP+ out of this little car. Why I wouldn't buy it? Paint quality is very poor, I can already see visible chips on hood after 2 years. Gauge of steel on panel is relatively thin and it's very easy to get dents and nicks. I've driven this car for 2-1/2 year now, every time I drive it, it puts smile on my face and I have nothing really to complain about other than 2 things mentioned above, and since I'm leasing it, it doesn't really bother me.
I test drove one with this same opinion. I didn’t like cvts, still not my favorite, but Honda did a great job with this one! If I would’ve gone into it not knowing it wasn’t a “normal” transmission I would not have known a difference. It was very responsive and nice to drive.
Have owned several Hondas & love the brand - Civic looks great in red! Amazing for its size that it ate all your coupons without a blink. Great review, guys - and congrats on yet another 1k subs - at this rate you’ll be hitting 250k by year’s end!

lots of companies are going turbo, which is nice for power boost and increased MPG, but shortens the life of the engine...resale values might take a hit due to longevity issues.
I really want the 11th gen civic to ditch the cvt. I know it most likely won't happen, but I can dream. When it comes to cvts, Honda has the smoothest I've driven, so I can't complain too much.
I just bought a used '21 EX sedan, with the 1.5T & CVT. That CVT definitely takes some getting used to: you don't get the kind of sudden acceleration that you expect when you mash your right foot down from a standing start, but then in about the time it takes for your brain to register that it doesn't feel fast & your eyes to focus in on the instrument cluster, you're rapidly climbing through 40mph. What impresses me most, though, is this: I bought a clean, one-owner, well maintained, car with 25k miles on it. I shopped around and paid what I knew to be a fair price. That fair price was $22,500. In three years of private ownership, these Civics have only lost 10% of their value. Astounding!
@@sailorbecky7233 I was able to do a 500$ deposit (the car hadn't even left the factory yet to they had to order it) and I am blessed enough to be able to pay the full price in cash.
Howdy, awesome video as always y’all! Great review too! I agree on the infotainment, however I hate lane watch, I think conventional blind spot monitoring is better!😸😻😸
As a 2016 Civic Touring sedan owner, I still can't decide if I like the Civic Hatchback or not. Also, the obligatory Car Confections emergency vehicle background siren makes its appearance at the 06:13 videomark. 🚑🚒🚔
Thanks for the review. I like this car and it is on my short list to replace my Crosstour. Its minor but they just went cheap on no auto dimming rearview mirror. Would like to see some Mini Coopers reviewed.
@@daveallen2455 You are 100% correct, Dave. People get suckered in by glitz, cuteness and the perception of so-called "prestige" and later wonder why they're left with an unreliable money pit. Wake up folks.
I miss when cars were really simple. Too much cluster in the cabin these days. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for innovation but there's just too much to do in the cabin these days 😂😂😂
Just wanna make sure... that is Sport right? Only the 2020 offers the hatchback LX right? Just trying to make my mind which to go for. Considering am only 22-23 soon. The money is Not That much my concern, but it doesn’t make a change considering a “sport” = higher insurance ... oof. So is this a Sport or LX I didn’t quite understand in the video or maybe missed it
@@CarConfections thanks but I noticed after looking for more information... the EX is more expensive then the sport. I never knew that but now I can make a more rational decision. Thanks for the tip ! Also nice video and presentation!
if they kept the overall length and made it a wagon, yes, I would buy it. Shortening the trunk space and making the hatch is a wash for these hatches.. I have too much to haul around.
@@ragnarokpxn5196 I am super comfortable in the driver’s seat, I sometimes sit in the passenger side. Over the past couple of months have taken day long trips and for me personally haven’t had any issues
2 spoilers. Gotta keep the down force on the back tires in this front wheel drive car.... In reality, probably aerodynamics, but I like making fun of these things. My wife's old '06 camry had a spoiler... Why? Lol
I drove one of these for a week. The center console SUCKS! The cup holders do a crap job of holding a drink bigger than a med. coffee and when it spills it fills the storage bin in the console and there’s no armrest at all. IMO the center console is an epic fail.
